For the fourth of July we drove a couple of hours away for a rodeo. Weston's parents came to town so we made a little vacay out of it. We stayed in a hotel and did some fun outlet shopping, then the next day we went to a parade in the morning, the rodeo in the afternoon, and some carnival rides. Then we drove home and went to a big firework show with some friends. One night while his parents were here we did our own firework show. I didn't get many pictures of the fourth but we did have a great time. The weather was perfect!!
These two are always up for a good craft. We painted bird houses which my kids are still asking me when are we ever going to buy bird seed to put in our bird houses? Maybe next summer.
I spent a lot of time on the patio eating popsicles while the kids played. It was never very long before they noticed me and my peace and quite was gone.
Maybe one of my best summer memories came from the drive-in movie. So much fun!! And Hudson especially loved the perfect size window for him to climb in and out of all night long.
Our next adventure that I happily opted out of was sleeping on the trampoline. Hunter lasted until 1 am but Haylee and WEston held strong and slept out there all night.
Football Camp!!! You will never see Hunter smile as much and as big as when he is playing football. It was only a two day camp but this is probably his best memory of the Summer. He loves football! And Hudson found a good viewing area to cheer him on.
New swim goggles for our upcoming trip
I love walking around the temple with my kids and going to the visitor center. Our favorite game to play in the visitor center is randomly with our eyes closed picking a book of Mormon with a different language. And that's one day where we will serve our missions. Haylee this day picked Sweden which she was very excited about.
We went to lots of spash pads and parks in July.
Haylee missed out on some of our park days because she was at her two day stake activity day camp for girls ages 8-11. She always has such a great time at that camp and I'm so grateful for all the hard work that goes into that.
Here Haylee and one of her good friends were practicing a skit they were going to perform at the end of the camp for the parents.
Phew, we had a busy July, and this is only the first half.
