A little of us on a Sunday

I kind of like to craft with my kids. It's just what I do as a mom. Anytime we have a bored moment, we need a change of pace during the day, we need to get away from the tv, I bust out a very very simple craft, and it makes my kids very very happy!! It's been fun with Haylee being in preschool I have a few moments when I get Hunter all to myself. Most of our crafting over the years has been pretty girly to entertain Haylee. But when it's just him and I, I try to get a little more manly.
Today our ward only met for the first hour. Our ward boundaries were realigned and new bishoprics were organized. It made for kind of a long sunday at home with the kids. While the boys were both sleeping I made cookies so Haylee could decorate them. She took her job very seriously and it took her all afternoon. My idea was a success. I love when my ideas pan out.
Later we decided to get out the Halloween decor. Haylee decided we better practice trick or treating. She has some pretty good ideas herself. It took Hunter one time ringing the doorbell before he learned to say trick or treat, by the second time he even said thanks on his way out. We're ready!!

a house

We closed on our house a month ago today. The next day we moved into our newly constructed house. Since then we have had a few things happen. As we were moving in, our fridge just happened to put a big gash in our freshly painted brand new walls. That same day a little miss in our family got a hold of a black permanent sharpie marker, and colored on her new white window seat. A little mister was painting his nails hot pink and just thought he would dab some on our brand new carpet! NO! we don't know allow him to paint his nails. Weston and I have both been locked out. Me twice. We had the power got out for a couple of hours, we had a leaky kitchen sink, and a dead mouse placed ever so kindly on our driveway by a neighbor cat. Yes, I know, at least it was outside and dead! But really, it was gross! Not too bad for a month's worth of home ownership!! We were at least able to enjoy the empty lot next to us for a month. Today this showed up........

this might be what Hunter does for the next four months as they build a new house next to us.
Whoa mom, that's a big tractor!
Lots of dirt and a tractor kept him entertained like this the whole time I made dinner. It was fabulous!!

view from the iphone

Just some fun iphone pictures I wanted to post. I am so not one to photograph nature. Especially since I have no photography talent or a nice camera for that matter but living near this gorgeous lake I just can't help myself. Barbara Walters called coeur d'Alene a little slice of heaven and after my parents visited this weekend, my mom did too. It's official, we live in heaven. I guess a little piece of it anyway. We are so enjoying this warm fall weather. I never want it to end!
I love seeing Hunter's little hand sticking out the window every time we get in the car. He loves his window down and sometimes he's practically hanging out the window. He's learned how to undo the top buckle of his carseat so he is literally a monkey swinging around back there. I know extremely dangerous. This day, I just loved seeing his chubby little fingers in my mirror.

bikes!

This is what we have been doing since moving in. Bike riding. Lots and lots of bike riding!! The kids have been having so much fun!
I just love hanging outside watching these two and enjoying the sunset! It was gorgeous tonight.
Hunter can cruise on his little bike. He holds his legs up and balances his bike until it comes to a stop. Then he takes off again. I can't capture a good picture of him, he's too fast!!
Mother nature, please oh please don't turn into cold fall nights yet. We are loving playing outside way too much. Usually I'm totally read for fall to fully begin. Not this year. Summer went by way too fast. I need a couple more months. All while Haylee is in preschool of course. We are loving that. Why didn't I put her in preschool 4 years ago?
He's off again!!

Preschool!!!

We're going to miss this cutie when she is gone during the day. Poor Hunter thought he was going to school today too. He was sad but settled for a hug from Haylee.
And she's off!! Ready to take on the world, three days a week at a time! She told me she had music class, but couldn't remember anything they did. She said she couldn't remember anybody's name in her class and she had crackers for snack, but she didn't like them. But she said she had a great time and loves going to school. She can't wait to go back on Friday

as of late

What we have been up to lately: Moving again. But this time it was very exciting because we were moving into our first house!! All while packing Haylee was coming up with very creative games to play as all of her toys were slowing being packed. She loves to play hospital and having broken bones!
Hunter loves tools! Helping dad is the best thing ever in his world!!
These two little cuties of mine loved, loved, loved riding in the truck with dad on moving day!!
I hope I don't see another moving truck in front of our house for a long, long time!!
Okay, now I get why people might choose not to do a new construction home. Window coverings and landscaping a yard. Hunter on the other hand is in pure heaven having an all dirt backyard!!
Ya we love living here!! We can go to this gorgeous beautiful lake anytime we want to! Now we need a boat
