These two babes of mine idolize each other. The best sound in the world is when they are in Haylee's room playing and just cracking up at each other. No one can get Hunter to laugh nearly as hard as Haylee can. I know these two were best buddies before they came to our family and for that I am so grateful.
Hunter would not take a nap yesterday. Would. Not. Do. It. I was so depressed about it that I decided to go out for ice cream. It reminded me so much of all of our delightful ice cream outings in Arkansas. We miss orange leaf and cherry berry.
Then we looked at the fish at a pet store. Haylee is begging me to buy her a fish. I just can't do it. Ugh! The thought of a little gold fish swimming around my house is kind of icky to me. I think gold fish have been icky ever since Weston told me when he was in high school he swallowed a live gold fish for 5 extra credit points.
Judge Judy was on the TV. Apparently my children are fascinated by her. I thought it was a weird show to be on tv at a cute little ice cream store.
Have you ever watched cupcake wars? Haylee loves it. She watches it all the time and one day wants to win cupcake wars! She made cupcakes on Valentine's day and the entire time acted like she was on the show. It's a competition between four bakers to see who can bake the best cupcake under a time constraint and they are judged on taste and decorations. Haylee decorated all 20 cupcakes by herself and had so much fun on each one. Each cupcake was different and very thought out. Watch for her in twenty years. She just might be the cupcake war winner!
Haylee loves holidays. Valentine's Day might be one of her favorites. She has lots of love to give. Even though she isn't in school she can't pass up giving Valentines' to people. Good thing she has so many cousins and friends to give them to!
I don't know why this hit a chord with me today but it sure did. I came out of the shower to find this today. Haylee had set up a hair bow store all by herself and I thought it was in the most creative fashion. I just cannot get over how much fun it is to have her as my little gal. All mine!! Ok well half Weston's but she is just a treasure. She is the most creative little person and what I love is watching her. She can entertain herself so well. It's like she gets in her own little world. I can hear here carrying on all sorts of conversations with her pretend peeps. I am truly fascinated by her! She is learning so much all the time. She can write all of our names in our family, and she is starting to write many other words. She can memorize anything. Anything! She has so many songs memorized. She was sitting with a lady at church on Sunday and when we sang praise to the man Haylee sang it all. The lady came up to me afterward and said, does you daughter know the hymn praise to the man?" Yup she sure does. And many others, and who knows how. She knows the first 9 articles of faith completly from memory. Like I said, I am fascinated by her! Where did she come from? She is awesome and I can take no credit. She came out this way!
