AHSC659 Peace & Joy

Happy Monday, peeps! Hope you had a good weekend! Time for a new Atlantic Hearts sketch:

Rather than stamp & diecut several images for this sketch, I opted to use an image from a past Unity Kit of the Month set! Here we go:

I will admit that I am not 100% sure about this card, but after spending some time on it, I didn't want to give it up, LOL!  I stamped the image on Basic Beige cardstock with Stazon ink and did some watercoloring.

To give it a more vintage look, I over-stamped it with a retired Linen background stamp and sponged some Pecan Pie ink around the edges, and I used versamark to stamp some subtle greenery on the banner:

Both sentiments inside and outside were from the same set.  The card base was Pecan Pie.  My final additions were green baker's twine and some pretty sequins.

Hopefully I'll be getting my cards signed and mailed this week!  Such a busy time! I hope that you'll make some time to play with our sketch this week and share it with us at Atlantic Hearts!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP767 Challenge from Jaydee

Happy Sunday, all!  Jaydee is our Paper Players hostess with a really fun theme challenge this week:

Hmmm...this is open to so many interpretations!  A gift on your card?  An actual gift you created?  How about a card that looks like a gift!  Here we go:

My inspiration came from the Double D Challenge this week:

Aren't those presents pretty?  I used some old and new products on my card today!  The base is Cherry Cobbler, the top layer is Crumb Cake embossed with a Waffleflower Sweet Plaid Texture die.  I added "ribbons" of paper from Unity, a bell from Lil' Inker (sadly no longer in business), some Tim Holtz Greenery, a shabby tag from Gummiapan, and that cute little bow is Simon Says Stamp! Phew!  Oh, and the sentiment on the tag is also from Simon Says Stamp!

I hope you can find some inspiration from the DT's samples on the Paper Players blog, then squeak in time between all your holiday preparations to play with us!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS715 Celebrating You

Happy Thursday, all...on the slide to the weekend, yippee!  I have lots of birthdays in December and my card supply is running low,  so the FMS sketch came in handy for a quick card using some patriotic colors!  Here's the sketch:

I pulled out some Honey Bee papers called Americana, did some diecutting, punching and stamping, and here we go:

Sentiments are from the retired Perennial Birthday, and it was mounted on a Crumb Cake base:

And since the Krafty Chicks have a birthday challenge, I am adding this to theirs as well!

Off to make some Christmas cookies!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TCH123 Warm Wishes

Happy Wednesday, peeps! I had a couple of Lawn Fawn diecuts laying on my desk unused from another project, soI thought I'd use them with Color Hues' challenge for this month, which is pink and green:

In hindsight, I probably should have used markers to color in these little images, but I love to watercolor, so that's the medium I chose.  Here we go:

I'm afraid my early-morning photography is not as good as it should be, so my colors look a bit washed out!  I stamped my houses in Versafine Black and colored them in Smoky Slate, Pretty in Pink, Soft Sea Foam and the retired Soft Succulent.  I added some glitter to the rooftops and mounted it on a panel of Basic White, embossed with a Waffleflower snowflake plate.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, stamped in Smoky Slate, and I added some tiny rhinestones for fun!

On the inside of the Pink Pirouette card, I stamped another sentiment from Simon Says Stamp (see how pale the pink looks?!):

I have a whole stack of UFOs, as Bonnie would call them (Unfinished Objects) on my desk, so my plan the rest of the week is to FINISH them!!!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

AHSC658 Brightly Shining

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  The Atlantic Hearts Sketch this week is a lovely one, as usual:

I had some pretty papers from Thoughtful Journey sitting on my desk, and I thought they would make a pretty Christmas card, so here we go:

I wanted to use this sentiment from Night Divine, so I stamped it in some Pretty Peacock ink on a diecut panel and added some crinkly seam binding in a shabby-chic bow that just happened to match perfectly.  I embossed another panel with a star embossing folder and assembled it all together, along with some star sequins:

A sentiment from Peaceful Season went on the inside:

I just realized I didn't put any little doodads in the four corners, so I hope they'll not kick me out, LOL!  And I hope you'll play along with our sketch challenge this year at Atlantic Hearts! Can't wait to see your creations!

Big Bold Thanks for FMS714

Happy Monday, peeps! Hope everyone had a good weekend!  Trying to get back into a routine again!  I am playing with the current FMS sketch today, and although I so wanted to put a Christmas ornament on this card, I needed a thank you card, so I went in a different direction!  Here's the sketch:

I pulled out some neglected DSP, did a bit of stamping and fussy-cutting and here we are:

Embossing folder is Eyelet; sentiment is from Timeless Arrangements, and Basic Black and Melon Mambo are my colors....easy peasy! I did add a bit of retired Gingham Ribbon for fun!

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP766 Tic Tac Toe from Claire

Happy Sunday, peeps! Claire is our Paper Players hostess this week, and since it's the fifth Sunday, it's a Tic-Tac-Toe!  She has some wonderful choices for us!  She must have known how much I love vintage, so my automatic choice was the right column of Vintage, Patterned Paper and Sparkle!  Let's go!

I had a couple of pieces of some lovely vintage papers from Simple Stories left from a pad I got several years ago....they're almost all gone, but I salvaged one piece with this wonderful Santa against a collage of vintage prints.  I didn't want to cut it down, so I made it into a large slimline card measuring 4" x 8"...here we go:

I did have to make the paper a bit narrower, so I trimmed it down and cut out the holly leaves, then added a strip of red glimmer paper and re-attached the remaining paper behind it to fit my card.  I stamped a vintage sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on some of the same paper and diecut it, then adhered it to the front:

Another vintage sentiment on the inside, along with some plaid paper to accent the bottom:

I do love my vintage images and this was a treasure to create! I hope you'll find some good inspiration using Claire's grid for your own card.  Share it with us at the Paper Players blog! Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!
