PP341 Congrats

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It's Paper Players time and my sweet friend Sandy has a fabulous sketch for us today!

I pulled out another set ready to retire that again, I really didn't get to play with enough!  You're Sublime has such cute images and I thought this would be sweet for a new recruit who signed up during SAB:

I stamped my image on thick white cardstock in Stazon, then used inks and an aquapainter to color it in:

The background paper is Moroccan, and the sentiment is actually a graduation sentiment, but I taped off a portion of the stamp before inking it in Watermelon Wonder ink, then cut it out with a Bitty Banner die!  To make the rectangular stitched background piece, I cut two squares from a stitched die, trimmed one, and butted them together under the sentiment so the seam was not visible.  I love to get extra use from my dies like that!

I hope you'll play along with our sketch this week..there are so many possibilities with it, I know I will be saving it for future use!  Check out what the DT did on the Paper Players blog and be sure to share yours with us too!

While on spring break, we visited a different library, listened to story hour and then Cassidy decorated a little birdhouse with markers:

Grampy put an eye hook in it for her:

And she hung it on a holly branch:

Enjoy your day and be blessed as well as a blessing to someone!

RetroRubber 52 Follow Your Heart

Happy Thursday, peeps!  And happy December!   This will be short & sweet....it's a crazy busy weekend coming up!  I hadn't played with the Retro Rubber Challenge for a while, and the sketch looked fun:

RRCB 52

My niece recently moved from SC to Seattle to take a job with Amazon!  We are excited for her but nervous as she is so far away from her family!  (Lucky for her, her dad is a pilot....just a hop, skip and a jump to go see her!).  I thought this little image from the 2015 set You're Sublime was appropriate:

Her parents drove all her belongings out and I am betting that my sister was wishing for a little pink camper in which to rest her weary bones!  And I know yesterday's card used the same color combo....funny how that happened!  The Pop of Pink Specialty DSP just seemed like a cheerful background for this pink camper!  It was stamped in Stazon on Shimmery White cardstock and colored loosely with inks and an aquapainter.  I popped up the flag for fun and cut it out with a Stitched Shape framelit.  A piece of Strawberry Slush twine finished it off.

I bought some little wooden ornaments and Cassidy and I had fun painting them with some acrylic paints:

I used some SU Gold Glitter for the star....this girl loves her glitter!

I'll show you mine next!  Enjoy your day and thanks for popping in!

CYCI127 and SSC130 You're Sublime

Happy 4th, everyone!  I have a fun little card today using (again) You're Sublime and some fun colors from Can You Case It:
CYCI#127

along with the sketch from Sunday Stamps:

And here we go!

I started out with some watercolor paper that is really crappy...but I hate to waste anything so, I am striving to make the best of it!  SU's is really the best, I just wish in came in bigger pieces!  Anyway, I stamped my submarine in Stazon and used an aquatpainter and inks in Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Cool Cucumber to color my image:

You can see how the image bled, even after drying it with a heat tool!  I gave the fishies and the periscope a little highlight with my white gel pen and stamped some speckles with the current Paper Pumpkin set.  I rounded the top edges with a corner punch, tore the bottom edge, added a banner sentiment and some baker's twine to finish it off.  Oh, and I added some Candy Dots too!  I mounted it all on a Bermuda Bay panel that was embossed with the Decorative Dots EF.  It's corny but cute!   Hope your day is wonderful!

Missin' this little funny face!

Paper Players 301 Toadally Awesome

Happy Sunday, peeps....the days are just flying by!  How can it be almost July already!  And it's time for another Paper Players challenge!  Joanne is our creative hostess this week with a great sketch for us:

Hmmm, lots and lots of possibilities here!  I wanted to use some neglected stamps in my stash and I had never inked up this little toad from You're Sublime:

I stamped him in Stazon and watercolored him with Cucumber Crush and Bermuda Bay inks, then mounted him on two Swirly Scribbles diecuts, one in Bermuda Bay and the other in Emerald Envy:

They went on a panel of Soft Sky which was embossed with the Softly Falling EF and lightly sponged with Mint Macaron, then the whole shebang was mounted on some Moroccan DSP!  I did add a few green pearls from a past Paper Pumpkin kit for fun.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment again, masking off the image, and diecut it with a Nestability banner die.  Sort of a silly card, but it will be cute for a little boy's birthday, I think!  You can check out what the rest of the DT did by clicking here:

Grammy's (albeit dirty) garden card makes a fun ride!

Enjoy your day!

DSCF1213

Happy Friday, peeps!  Yay, it’s the weekend…do you have some fun stuff planned?  I hope to do some cleaning up…and stamping!  I have one more thank you card, this time using the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary:

CCMC367

and the new, uber-cute set, You’re Sublime:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings You're Sublime Stampin Up

This looks a tad bit busy, but I thought with all the colors of the flowers in the wheelbarrow, I could get away with the plaid from Farmers Market and the stripes from Sweet Lil’ Things!  I stamped the image in Black Stazon on our watercolor paper and colored them with an aquapainter:

I added a little sparkle to the centers; some “grass” to ground it, a couple of Watermelon Wonder banners and a little Pear Pizzazz bow!  It’s all on a Very Vanilla card base!  Thanks for visiting today!

This was on the other side of our porch….John put a conduit under the porch in which to hold the wiring….and yes, he had to uproot almost my entire flower bed.  It was mostly mint, because the builders chose that location to dump all the stones from when my house was built!!!  So it’s almost impossible to plant anything there.   But anyone who has had mint seed in the garden knows that it takes NO TIME at all for it to come back!  So I’m not concerned!  Anyway, Cassidy had fun for about three shovelsful, and then she was done!!!  But she “helped”!
