AYSI346 Perfect Polka Dots

Happy Friday, everyone! Time for a new As You See It challenge, and it's a Fill-in-the-Blank!

There are LOTS of tools that I won't get rid of, but this fun little dotted embossing folder is one that I'll never part with!  I used the sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday:

along with some pretty pastel cardstocks and a retired floral set called Shaded Summer to make a birthday card for my SIL:

I might add that the scalloped border die from the Be Mine dies is also another one I'll never part with!  I took panels of Purple Posy, Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky cardstocks (sadly, all retired) and embossed each one with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.  I added a couple of the scalloped border pieces, then my floral, stamped in Pink Pirouette and Mint Macaron (also retired).  I stamped the image twice, then fussy-cut the florals to adhere on top.

I added a sentiment from Waffle Flower and a few matching sequins, and it was finished!

What retired or retiring product is one you'll never part with? It's a hard question to answer, isn't it? So many fun things come and go, but we hope you'll be able to pin one thing down and share something you've made with it over at the As You See It blog! Can't wait to see what you create!

PP701 Beachy Collage

Happy Sunday, peeps! Time for a new Paper Players challenge with the awesome Stef as our hostess.  She chose a great theme, especially if you're in the northern hemisphere (although Jan probably doesn't mind!) and you're sweltering in this heat!  So here we go:

I just received this stencil and stamp set from Waffle Flower called Postage Collage Beach Days, and hadn't used it yet, so this was a perfect time to get it inked up! So here we go:

I used lots of different bright colors on the stencils and stamped the sentiments and postage images in Versafine Black and Smoky Slate.  I also used the regular Postage Collage stamp set:

That seagull just cracks me up...my favorite part of Finding Nemo is the seagull scene, LOL! I also added a few little sequins for sparkle!  The inside of my Crumb Cake card was stamped with a sentiment from Seaside Wishes:

No beach for us yet.....later this month, though!

A few more birthday photos! This refreshing image is from Robyn:

This pretty set of banners (and brad!) is from Fran:

And I admit that I am a wee bit jealous that my friend Kathy got this die set...how cute is THIS beachy scene?

Thanks so much for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP696 Sandy Toes

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Happy last day of June! Wow, how did that happen?!  The Paper Players hostess this week is Anne Marie, and I am filling in for her as she's a little under the weather!  But she did come up with this awesome tic-tac-toe grid, since it's the fifth Sunday of the month:

First, I have a confession to make....I have TOO many stamps!  Seriously! The stamp set I used on this card I have probably had for three or four years and NEVER INKED IT UP!  But I remedied that this week, so here we go:

I am sure that I was inspired by something my friend Michele made with this set and had to have it...and then it just sat! So anyway, I inked up this little boy, watercolored him in and paper-pieced his little boogie board and put him on a piece of Azure Afternoon striped DSP.  The edge of the DSP was diecut with a Penny Black die, and I added a sentiment from the same set; it's from Waffle Flower called Sandy Toes!  I only wish they had both the left and right flipflop stamps....it looks like this little guy has two left feet!

The tic-tac-toe row that I chose was across the top of stars and/or stripes, bling and blue.  Now you're going to have to trust me on the bling, because the only thing I could think of to bling up my card was some Wink of Stella on the sand....I know you can't see it here, but it is very sparkly in real life!

My final addition was some retired Wavy Trim.  The sketch I used is from FMS:

Such a fun sketch!  I added a sentiment from the Light the Candles kit---this set of sentiments is awesome!

I hope you'll have some fun with our Tic-Tac-Toe grid this week!  Share it with us over at the Paper Players blog and check out what the other designers came up with as well!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

AHSC581 To You

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you had a good weekend!  The new Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge is a beautiful one:

It gave me a chance to use some beautiful papers from Carta Bella called Gather at Home; a few snips, a few layers and here we go:

I guess I should have changed my background in my photobox, it all seems to blend together!  I cut some florals from the same black printed paper as the banner, and mounted them on a few diecut circles, then added a diecut sentiment from Waffleflower and a few sequins.  For fun, I added a Perfect Polka Dot embossed panel as well:

Easy peasy---the paper did most of the work!  I hope you'll play along with this pretty sketch this week! The multiple layers give you lots of opportunities to use up some of the many papers we all have!  Hope to see you in the gallery!

Dana and Wayne went to a cute little mini golf course over the weekend:

With scenery as pretty as this, it wouldn't matter if you couldn't hit your ball into the cup, LOL!  Thanks for visiting today, enjoy it and be blessed!

For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love; neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below--there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:37-39
