AYSI357 Happy Haunting

Hello,  stamping friends! Time for a new As You See It challenge and Heather has a spooky color palette for us this week--I love it!

Even though I love it, I did struggle a wee bit with it! I finally went with some really old stamps to highlight these fun new (and almost-new) colors!  Here we go:

I started with a base of Secret Sea, and originally I was going to do a top-fold card, but then changed directions, and now it's a side-fold card!  I stamped the row of trees and pumpkins in Secret Sea ink; this was actually an old jumbo wheel stamp--remember them?  I took it off the wheel and just used it as a stamp in my Stamparatus.  The cat on the broom was stamped on a piece of Cloud Cover and fussy cut, then mounted on a Timid Tiger moon, embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder, then sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink.  The sentiment is also stamped in Pumpkin Pie.

The final touch was an array of orange glimmer stars, sprinkled across the sky!  Here's the inside, using another real oldie:

I love getting my older stamps inky! I hope you'll find some inspiration at the As You See It blog using our colors this week!  Check out what the other team members did, then go play along!  Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

IC177 Boo!

Happy gray Monday, peeps! Tonight is Christmas card stamp camp, so this will be quick, as was my card!  The Inspire.Create challenge is to CASE the designer with this card:

What a fun sketch! I have several Halloween stamps that I like to use at least once during the season, and this little vintage cat on a broom is one of them:

The papers were a gift from one of my stamping girls; I looked through several catalogs and I honestly cannot remember these papers from SU but I am sure they are!  My eyes must be really getting bad because I thought for sure there was some gray in them, hence the Basic Gray base, but obviously, the dots are Old Olive.....but hopefully it still looks okay!  I stamped the cat on Basic Beige and partially cut out the broom, then used a Stitched Shape circle die to cut it out:

I lightly stamped the grunge image from the retired Label Me Bold to give him a spooky background!  The sentiment is an old stamp from Recollections, diecut with a banner die and matted with another Basic Gray banner and some old enamel dots:

On the inside, some more grunge and a sentiment from the retired Little Delights:

Such a fun and easy card to make!  And speaking of fun cards, my friend Beth sent me this one; the front is a bookmark that can be removed!  So cute:

Thanks, Beth!  And here are a couple more pictures from the fair; I didn't get many but I always like to see the giant pumpkins! I wonder how they transported them?

Charlie Brown would be proud of both of these "great pumpkins"!!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Vintage Halloween Cat

Happy Monday, peeps! Hope you had a good weekend!  We had a gorgous warm day on Saturday, then cool and rainy on Sunday! From one end of the spectrum to the other!  I have one last Halloween card for you, since I hadn't used one of my favorite images this year, and the JUGS challenge of CAS using just the center of your card, as well as the CAS on Sunday challenge to use an animal, reinforced my idea!

So here we go:

I had a piece of Crumb Cake that was a wee bit smaller than a standard-sized card, so I used that and stenciled a "moon" of Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.  I stamped my little vintage cat on a broom in Versafine Black and added an old Crafty Secrets sentiment:

I also embossed the outer edges wtith the Stitched with Whimsy dies....not sure if I should have done it or let it alone...but it is what it is!  I added a Rubbernecker sentiment on the inside:

This was quick and easy and still just one layer! Woohoo!  Thanks for popping in today!  And how about a couple more vintage Halloween postcards?

This one is from my great-uncle Hutch to his brother Bob...apparently he had a cold!  It strikes me funny that first he asked how his cold was, then he hoped everyone was well, LOL!  It's dated October 30, 1913!

This is one of my favorites, with those big pumpkin and moon faces!  I think the little boy's hair is standing straight up on end!

This is to my great-uncle Bruce from his Uncle John.  He tells Bruce he hopes he has all his pumpkins in by this time!  I remember Uncle Bruce and Uncle Bob, but Uncle Hutch and Uncle John were gone by the time I was born!  It's fun to have these remembrances though!

Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

CAS Saturday

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I had a lovely day yesterday, stamping a bunch of really simple cards, using some oldie but goodie stamps!  My first one is for the CAS on Sunday challenge, which is autumn; and you can't get much simpler than this....it's one stamp on one layer!! I am not even sure who makes the stamp; it might be an old Impression Obsession one, but I am not sure. I didn't even add a sentiment!  I did make two, one on Crumb Cake and one of Vanilla:

The top one used Cajun Craze ink; the bottom one, Cinnamon Cider.

I also made a Halloween card using an old Victorian Greetings stamp, which I love!  It uses the CAS(E) This Sketch sketch:

And here we go:

I layered some batty DSP from Authentique on a Crumb Cake card, then stamped my spooky kitty on some Very Vanilla cardstock. It looked a little too harsh, so I sponged some Cinnamon Cider and Smoky Slate and a little coloring, then some black glimmer paper to the edges:

Sentiment is from an old Crafty Secrets Halloween set!  Thanks for popping in today!

Karate girl!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!  Be sure to pop in tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge!

Flying By Halloween

Hi there everyone!  Can you handle one more Halloween card?  I am gradually giving a lot of my seasonal stamps some love and ink!  This little kitty is another of my favorites, he's so cute (or maybe it's a "she") on his little broom:

I love vintage Halloween images and this one fits the bill!  I stamped him in Memento ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, colored him with some Blends and die cut him:

I added a sentiment from a retired Rubbernecker Halloween set, and embellished it with some black and orange papers, stamped stitching and some black Glimmer paper banners and frames:

I even remembered to decorate the inside with a little leftover scrap:

I used the Just Add Ink sketch and the themes from Festive Friday:

#festivefridaychallenge, #FF0019, Stampin Up, Halloween, Black

I guess I'd better think about mailing some of these out....Halloween is coming up soon!

This photo might be more appropriate for Valentine's Day!!  Wayne is in Florida at a produce  grower's convention and came upon this HUGE display of roses....can you believe the size of this thing?  He told Dana he was going to bring it home for her, LOL!  What a guy!

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Yippee, it’s Wednesday…the week is almost half over!  I am squeaking in a card using the As You See It sketch; I turned it on its side:

After Sunday’s card, I was hankering for some more vintage stuff, and I have TONS of Halloween vintage stamps, so I pulled out this little cat on a broom from Victorian Greetings I got last year and some MME Happy Haunting DSP:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Spooky Cat on a Broom Halloween

Everything was stamped in Basic Black or Smoky Slate on Naturals White and Cajun Craze, and I also used Gorgeous Grunge and retired Rubbernecker and MFT Halloween sets as well.  There’s a bit of ribbon, twine, sponging and sequins…I loaded it up!

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I am squeaking in one more Halloween card this week, using an interesting challenge from As You See It:

AYSIChallenge059

Hmmmm….not sure if I have ever used a triangle on a card…..well, I guess I have but not one quite like this:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Halloween Cat

I am still on the fence (or maybe I should say “I’m on the broom”) about this card!!  I just got this cute little vintage cat stamp, and I just am not sure if he’s really that impressive in white ink on black cardstock!  But I wanted to get this in the mail, so onward I went, adding some panels from MME’s Frightful DSP line; a sentiment from Rubbernecker (retired); some glimmer paper and silver ribbon, and some black and orange sequins!  Maybe next year I can use this little guy again in a different color, LOL!!!  Thanks for visiting today!

Bubble wrap makes for great entertainment!
