TSSC224 Vintage Vogue
Wow, what a gorgeous day it is today here in PA! I wanted to make a card with cheerful colors for Mary Jo’s TechnoStamper’s sketch:
I had originally been thinking about using Tangerine Tango, since I hadn’t used that color in a while, and mistakenly pulled out some Calypso Coral designer paper….oops! So I went with that, and paired it with Daffodil Delight for a friendly birthday card:
I stamped a background with the floral images from Vintage Vogue, then added the cut-out F atop a little scalloped square; the sentiment, from Teeny Tiny Wishes, was cut with the largest Itty Bitty Banner die. I wish now I had done something different with the left side of the banner….maybe I’ll add a flower to cover it up! I also added a little scalloped border on the top and bottom panels.
A cheerful card for a sunshiny day!
Playing is hard work!!!

PPA100 Delft Tile
I was excited to see the 100th challenge on the Pals Paper Arts blog---I have been following them regularly, and their design team is superb! I had this card made for another challenge, but never posted it, so I thought it would be fun to do for their “magnifique technique” challenge! I first saw the Delft tile technique on SCS here. I changed mine a tiny little bit by embossing the whole image that had been stamped with Vintage Vogue. Let me know what you think:
Here is a closeup of the “tiles” with the clear embossing:
Almost looks like real tile, doesn’t it? I didn’t want to detract from the image itself, so I left my Curly Cute sentiment and embellishments fairly simple. Thanks for visiting today!
Oh boy, Grammy’s craft room will never be the same again!
Wee Details:

Card Patterns 113
Just a quick post today, lots to do! Took the Card Patterns sketch 113:
to make a birthday card for a special friend:
I already had the Blushing Bride Patterns DP on my desk, so I went with another vintage theme, pulling out Vintage Vogue and the hostess set Just Because for my images. I never use Basic Gray, but I thought it would be a pretty complement for the Blush.
I used a doily for my scallop and some wide satin ribbon and an Antique Brad to corral it. Hope she likes it! Thanks for visiting today!
(Just in case you think she smiles all the time!)
- Stamps: Vintage Vogue
- Paper: WW, Basic Gray, Blushing Bride, Blushing Bride Patterns DP
- Ink: Pink Pirouette, Basic Gray
