Christmas Cookie Greetings

Hello, peeps! I am squeaking in this Christmas card for the Jingle Belles sketch in the nick of time, as well as the color challenge from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown:

Those colors remind me of the beautiful papers I got recently from Mintay, so I pulled some of them out and went to work:

All the papers and the image are from the Christmas Blessings pad; I diecut a Basic Beige and Basic White circle for the cookies, which were fussy-cut.

It's hard to see, but there's a wee brown glimmer star on the center of the cookie (but you can see the dab of glue I used, LOL), which coordinates with the stars on each end of the sentiment banner, which is Crumb Cake, stamped in Cinnamon Cider.  It's from the retired Trees for Sale.

To go with the cookie theme, I stamped this heart and sentiment from Nothing Sweeter, also retired:

I love how realistic these papers look!  And now I have another Christmas card for my stash!  Thanks for visiting today!

A few more birthday cards:

The above card is from my Long Island friend Sandy....love the stenciling on it!  The next card is a fun fold from my friend Robyn...what a cool opening on her card!

Finally, my friend Kathy made a cool card with the Notes & Totes die!  Adorable!

Thanks, ladies! Enjoy your day and be blessed

TSOT 585 Christmas Camper

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I got these Tree Lot dies during SAB to match the Trees for Sale set and have barely used them, so I thought I'd remedy that today!  My sister and BIL have a camper (not like this one though---much bigger!) and so I thought it would be fun to use the camper die to create a card for them.  Here we go:

I used the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday:

I cut the elements from Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Shaded Spruce and retired Brushed Silver cardstocks and assembled my little camper, coloring in the tire with black and silver markers.  I used some retired Classic Christmas DSP from a couple years back and added a few Shaded Spruce trees in the background:

The sentiment from the same set was stamped in Real Red and accented with some tiny die-cut stars...aren't they the cutest?  Just so much to love about these dies and stamps!  Thanks for popping by today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS563 Sympathy

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope you had a great weekend!  It's never fun to make sympathy cards but having to make them during holidays is extra-challenging. Our friend's father passed away after many years of illness and blindness, so although they will miss him here on earth, they rejoice in knowing he's with his Saviour!  I made them a simple sympathy card using the sketch from FMS:

I recently got some lovely plaid DSPs with masculine colors so I started wtih a mossy green one:

Although this tree stamp and diecut is from the Trees for Sale set, I thought it would still be appropriate for a masculine sympathy card.  I stamped and diecut the bottom tree layer with Mellow Moss, then diecut the upper layer with Mossy Meadow.  I mounted it on a Very Vanilla circle with a mat of Evening Evergreen.  The sentiment, from Hero Arts, was also stamped on Mossy Meadow cardstock in  Evening Evergreen ink:

On the inside of my Very Vanilla card, I stamped an older Our Daily Bread Designs stamp in Evening Evergreen:

And it's ready to go in the mail!

On Saturday, we decorated the church for Advent, and Dana brought Cassidy along to help. I put her in charge of the little Nativity set we put in the entryway:

I really love the camel she had peeking out of the stable!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." Ephesians 1:3

AHSC497 Christmas Greetings

Happy November, everyone!  Down come the Halloween decorations and up go the Thanksgiving ones!  I did squeeze in a little stamping time yesterday and played with the Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge:

The Global Design Project's theme this week is trees:

so of course, I used the little twiggy trees from  the Snowman dies, along with some Painted Christmas and Evening Evergreen DSPs to create my little scene:

I used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut out some of the patterned paper, and a circle die to cut out the sprig paper; the trees looked a little lost on it, so I added a layer of vellum to soften it a bit:

A sentiment from Trees for Sale went on a Stylish Shapes banner, and although it's hard to see, I used White Glimmer paper to make the side banners and little "snowballs" as embellishments.  I used the retired Softly Falling embossing folder to add some interest to the front of the card.

Since Dana didn't get any Halloween pictures of Cassidy (she went trick-or-treating with her friend Ben!), and we don't ever get any trick-or-treaters, I thought I would show you the only piece of Halloween candy corn in my own home:

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!
