AYSI345 Happy Easter

Happy Friday, peeps! I am thrilled to be asked to return to the design team of one of my favorite  challenges, As You See It!  This week we have a fun color challenge for you:

I have been wanting to try my hand at a shaped card, using the Every Day Arches dies.  I combined it with the You Are Remarkable stamp set and came up with this:

I embossed the top panel with the Starstuck embossing folder, then stamped the flower on a smaller arch and added some ribbon and sequins:

I made a little "hinge" with another piece of cardstock to attach the back layer to the front, and added a white panel with my sentiment and another flower:

I can't wait to try another one of these cards, now that I have the first on eunder my belt!  I hope you'll play along with our colors this week, and share your creation with us at As You See It!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS632 With Pets & More

Happy Thursday, peeps! I recently got the Latte Love bundle, and the first thing I make with the DSP is a Halloween card, LOL!  I have also been playing with the two-step stamp, Pets & More, and wondered what I could do with the owl! When I saw one of the patterns in the A Little Latte line, it made me think of a spooky woods, so I went with it! Here we go:

I used the FMS sketch for my 4 1/4" card:

and along with the DSP, I embossed a piece of Early Espresso with a Timber embossing folder.  Throughout the Year has a Halloween sentiment in it, so I stamped that along with the owl on a piece of Very Vanilla:

Some Neutral adhesives added a little bit of interest, and I used a retired stamp from Banner Year to stamp on the inside of my card:

I also needed a thank you card, so I used the puppy stamp along with some Pretty Peacock gingham papers and an Eyelet embossing folder:

Another sentiment from Throughout the year and a few faceted gems finished it off.  Isn't his little bowl cute?

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

GDP438 Inked & Tiled Easter

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I have an easy card today using the Inked & Tiled stamp set along with the Inked Botanicals DSP, and a wee bit of embossing!  Here's the sketch I used from Global Design Project:

I used both sides of one piece of the DSP, and did some heat embossing on the Crushed Curry side with the floral stamp and some Craft White ink and embossing powder:

To make the florals stand out a bit more, I added some loose watercoloring in Crushed Curry around the edges of the flowers and stems:

I heat embossed an Easter sentiment on a piece of Calypso Coral, again in white ink and embossing powder, then overstamped it with the word stamps from Quiet Meadow in Versamark ink, for a very faint background; hope you can see it here:

Two Iridescent Gems and it was on its way!

We'll go with some coral-hued flowers from Longwood today!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

AHSC563 Lots of Hearts

Happy Tuesday, all! I am in full-on Valentine-making mode!  Today's card features the sketch from Atlantic Hearts:

I missed these papers in the Most Adored package, so I decided to put them to use on my card today, along with some other current goodies:

My small embossed hearts are from the Adoring Hearts Hybrid die and embossing folder as well as the Radiating Stitches dies, and the larger heart is from the Hooray for Surprises die.  The banner is embossed with the retired Dotty Hearts embossing folder.  The "love" is from the Love For You dies.  The only stamping on the outside are the wee little hearts from the Hooray for Surprises die, and they're accented with some red rhinestones:

I stamped the same little hearts around the Valentine sentiment from Throughout The Year:

Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade were my featured colors!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Such a Lazy Stamper

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I have been a lazy stamper the last couple of days....plus it snowed overnight (first in over 700 days, LOL) so I have been in that "snow day" kind of mood. So the cards I am sharing are ones I made last week....no challenges, just some fun stamping in my craft room!

Today is Wayne's birthday, and I know that he is chomping at the bit (or the pole, or the lure, or whatever it is that fishermen chomp at) to go fishing! He got lots of fishing goodies for Christmas, so I decided to make him a fishing-themed card for his birthday, using the Gone Fishing bundle:

It's all just stamping, diecutting and layering on a Mossy Meadow card base; the sentiments are from Biggest Wish and the retired Endless Birthday Wishes.  I went a little overboard on the inside:

I used some more of the Let's Go Fishing DSP as well as sentiments from the Trusty Tools and Best Family Ever sets.

My next card is a CASE from Lori Heiling...hers is much cuter; you can see it HERE.  I made mine a bit simpler, and used different stamps and paper.  Who remembers the Etch-a-Sketch?  Lori is so clever!

I added an acetate "window" on my Etch-a-Sketch (wouldn't a shaker card with gray glitter be fun too??) and put it on a wobbler mechanism so you can really SHAKE it!!!

My sentiment is from Super Cool and the stars are cut using the Give It A Whirl dies....a hidden gem that I don't use enough!  On the inside, I added a few more stars, a sentiment from Throughout the Year and the soda image from Super Cool as well:

So fun, I can't wait to mail this out to someone of a certain age, LOL!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

CAS On Sunday Just For You

Happy Tuesday, peeps! My card today is for CAS On Sunday's Just for You challenge! I needed a simple birthday card for an elderly lady in our church, so this fit the bill!  Not sure if this is CAS enough for this challenge...it does have several layers, so it may not qualify!  But here we go::

A while back, I stamped and colored several of these cupcakes from Circle Saying, and as I needed a birthday card, I just fussy-cut one out and plopped it on a card! This is my last one; I put it on a Bubble Bath polka-dotted DSP, added a little pink gem and put it on a panel that was embossed with the Stitched With Whimsy die.  The sentiment is from an old Verve set.

A birthday sentiment from Throughout The Year went on the inside of the Bubble Bath card:

I also added some Wink of Stella...I wish it would show up in photos...such a pretty layer of shine!  Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!

Critter Valentine

Happy Saturday, peeps!  Squeaking in here with a cute little Valentine using some new goodies, paired with stuff from the regular catalog as well!  Jumping right in:

The background paper is from the new Most Adored DSP from the SAB catalog, and it's paired with a new outline die called Everyday Details.  I used the Zany Zoo bundle to cut out my little pals, and colored them with some Blends:

The sentiment is from Thoughout The Year, stamped in Real Red, and the Balmy Blue embossed hearts come from the Adoring Hearts Hybrid embossing folder:

It's accented with some black and white gingham ribbon!  I added a sentiment from Country Bouquet on the inside (which I forgot to photograph) that says "I love that we are friends"!  I am trying to use more supplies from the current catalog along with the mini, so I think this is a good combination!

Thanks so much for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Inkspirational 306 Happy New Year

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I trust you had a good New Year's day....I traditionally spend it "undecorating", and that's exactly what I did! I turned on the Mummer's Day parade - a Philadelphia-only tradition - and went to work!  So now all is back to normal, but I do miss the pretty holiday decor!

I did have a wee bit of time to stamp a New Year's card, something I don't think I've ever done! I send out lots of Christmas cards, but I wasn't able to send one to my dad's cousin, as he and his wife had moved and I didn't have their new address.  On Christmas eve, we got a card from them, with their new address, so I decided to participate in the Inkspirational's Mood Board and make them a Christmas/New Year's card.  Here's the board:

I was inspired by the chevron stripes of black and gold, so I pulled out some Basic Black and Gold Foil cardstock, my Basic Borders dies, and diecut two chevrons.  I remembered some black and white Christmas tree paper from last year's hostess set, and since I wanted to convey belated Christmas wishes as well as New Year's, I paired the paper with the chevrons:

I filled in the stars with a gold Painty pen, and added a few gold sequins for pizzazz!  I gold-embossed this sentiment from Country Bouquet:

and stamped a sentiment from Throughout the Year on the inside:

And it's winging its way to its recipients!  I do admit that I feel a bit rusty in the crafting department, though!  I can't wait to dig into some new goodies!  Thanks for popping in today!

I only got a few pictures from Christmas.....Eden and Ginger in their sweaters lasted about five minutes, LOL!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

SS322 Sailing Birthday

Happy Friday, peeps! Happy to see the weekend arrive!  Yesterday was John's birthday, so we'll be going out with friends and family tonight to celebrate. One of the first things he said yesterday was "I wish I was going sailing today!"  He hasn't had a sailboat for several years, so I did the next best thing for him, even though it was made a few days earlier, LOL!

I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps:

as well as papers from Come Sail Away and the sailboat from Sailing Home.  Because some of the paper had a linen print on it, I over-stamped the sailboat with the Linen background stamp, then colored it with a marker:

I also used a scribbly stamp from Label Me Bold for the background circular diecut, then added some Brushed Metallic embellishments.  The largest mat also was embossed with Stitched With Whimsy.  On the inside, I added a sentiment from Label Me Bold as well as Throughout the Year:

He loved it!  Thanks so much for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.  Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion.  The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet!  Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.  He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this?  Even the wind and the waves obey him!"  Mark 4:37-41

AHSC551 Lots of Pink

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Hope your week is going well so far!  I just adore the sketch from Atlantic Hearts this week!  I love things in threes and it just seems like such a fun sketch:

I had a myriad of ideas rolling around in my head, and I am sure my Christmas card stamp camp girls will be seeing this one!  But today, I am in a pink mood, so I am doing Christmas but it's a Berry Burst Christmas:

While searching through my stash for some DSP, I found this pretty flocked poinsettia paper from a few years ago; isn't it pretty against the bright berry shade?  I've also had this Lovely Letters set for a long time and haven't used it much, so I thought it would be a good time to get it inky!  I stamped each letter in Berry Burst then used a 1 1/4" square punch to punch them out.  A 1 3/8" square punch made punching out the Soft Shimmer DSP a piece of cake, and I combined them all together with a sentiment from For Unto Us:

Another sentiment from the same set went inside.

And since I was in a pink mood, I made another one; this one is a Valentine, since the Throughout the Year set will be carrying over into the spring catalog, I combined it with some hearts from Country Bouquet, stamped in Melon Mambo, and popped on top of some Melon Mambo DSP:

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TCC200 Birthday Bookshelf

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I have a quick card today, in a "clean and layered" style, for the Card Concept challenge:

I used some All About Autumn DSP for my background to mimic the book and sweater in the inspiration photo, and added a sentiment and a diecut leaf from the same DSP in a maroon hue:

I tied it with a bit of Copper Clay twine that I separated (to get a thinner strand) and it was done, and it is in the mail already!  Thanks for popping in on this fall day!

My "little" sister stopped in on her way from SC to a Penn State football game; you can see I am now "embracing" the gray....a hard pill to swallow, but it's easier to maintain, LOL!  (Sorry the photo is not the best!)

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
