Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Just a quick little card today, using the beautiful colors from Tammy’s Color Throwdown challenge today:

These vintage pyrex dishes look so cool all stacked up together!  Love them!  I couldn’t come up with a sketch that I liked for these colors and patterns, so I just did some random circles, stamped and embossed with floral images.  I added a couple of flowers and some piercing for interest:

This also works for the Colour Me…! challenge this week, which is Anything Goes….you can choose up to five colors!

Hey, peeps!  Happy Tuesday----at least Monday was a nice day!  Mother Nature is so fickle this spring!  I have to enjoy my flowers inside today, gazing at this beautiful dress Arielle chose for the ColourQ challenge today:

 

And here is my skinny little CAS card:

I used an older Verve floral set, embossing each flower in white embossing powder, then adding button centers, sewn on with matching floss.  The sketch is an almost-exact case of the Clean and Simple sketch 290 from this week:

I used an older There She Goes stamp for the center:

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Arielle has a fun inspiration photo for us today:

Love this cool jungle design!  In fact, it reminded me a wee bit of a gift bag my DD just gave me from Bath & Body Works:

I had been wanted to make something based on these cool images, so I sort of “combined” the inspiration photos, using the colors from Arielle and the owls and flowers from my bag:

With all I seem to have going on this week, I really wanted to search my stash for some larger flowers, but I just ended up using the first set I could find!  I made my own DP using the challenge colors, added a very simple punched owl since I didn’t have an owl stamp (he kinda looks like he is floating on that tree branch, doesn’t he?), and blinged everything up a wee bit with some rhinestones:

The eyes are Candy Dots; everything else is pretty simple!  Now….what you can you create with these colors?  Or maybe those primitive frog and leaf images will inspire you?!  Can’t wait to see what you make…share it with us at the ColourQ blog so we ALL can see it!  And be sure to check out what the other designers came up with as well….we’ve got a new Courtier this week—check it out!

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  It’s ColourQ time!  Here’s today’s bold color palette:

And here’s my card, using a pretty silhouette image from There She Goes:

I stamped each image in the challenge colors and added a scalloped border and an embossed background.  And can you see my little bird hiding among the leaves??  I added a sweet little flower to my PTI sentiment:

and since it’s a thank you card, added a nice sentiment on the inside as well:

Two Sketches

I was lamenting to Robin Merriman this morning that there are so many sketches and challenges, and not enough time!  In between my cleaning today, I managed to make two cards using two challenges!  I already had the DP and the cards laying on my table, so I just went forward from there.  The first one is a new one for me, Unscripted Sketches.  Here’s the sketch:

The inside says “Happy Birthday”; I was too lazy to retake the bad photo of it!  And here’s Mercy’s sketch for this week:

I used a various assortment of stamp images, some Nesties, bling, punches and ribbon.  Hope you enjoy them! 

It is about 90 degrees here today---more like Florida in the spring than Pennsylvania!  I am not quite ready to bring out the shorts, but I am considering it!!  A side note, also; I have having issues opening anyone’s blog who uses Typepad (among a few others).  My techie guy is going to look into it over the weekend, but I was wondering if anyone else was having problems.  It is the same with DH’s computer, so I am thinking it is something on the server’s end.  Unfortunately, I am not computer-savvy!!!  So, forgive me for not commenting if I am a regular visitor, but I can’t get to your blog to comment!

Happy Wednesday and welcome back to another CTD challenge!  Today, Broni is our hostess and here are her colors:

As soon as I saw these colors, the BG Marrakesh DP popped into my mind!  I also wanted to play with the Clean & Simple sketch #82  shown here:

My stamps are from Verve, stamped in black and colored with a blender pen and reinkers.  I added some twill and some embossed butterflies from SU’s Beautiful Wings embosslit…sooo pretty!  And since this card is a thank-you for one of my friends who served during Dana’s reception, I added this to the inside:

These are from a lovely set by There She Goes, stamped in Taken with Teal and Soft Sky.
