PP786 CAS Challenge from Ann

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Ann is our Paper Players hostess this week with a fun Clean and Simple challenge:

Yum!  There are a myriad of choices with this challenge! Just remember to keep it clean and simple--minimal layers, images and stamps!  I put my new Made With Sweetness dies to work, using the peach die along with the Mini Alphabet dies as well:

I used Crisp Cantaloupe and Pumpkin Pie cardstocks to create my peach slice, adding a little white craft ink to the Pumpkin Pie piece to soften it up a bit.  The tag was cut from some retired Crisp Cantaloupe DSP and a piece of vellum, tied with some Crisp Cantaloupe ribbon.  I shaded the alphabet letters with a Blend to give them a little depth.

I added a sentiment from the retired Sunny Sentiments set:

And I am going to enter this into the TGIF challenge, which is thank you cards:

We can't wait to see what food you will add to your clean and simple card!  Share it with us at the Paper Players blog!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TGIF576 Tool Time Birthday

Happy Saturday, peeps! I have a fun little card I made for our retired pastor, who is quite a handy man!  I pulled out some retired papers and stamps as well as some fun little diecuts to make this for him:

I used  Trusty Tool Box DSP papers and some little My Favorite Things Tool Charms dies for the embellishments:

The sentiment is from Perennial Birthday, and everything went on a Gray Granite card base.  I used the sketch from TGIF for this week as my layout:

Now it's winging its way to Indianapolis!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Christmas Wishes in White

Happy Tuesday, all! I am slowly working on my Christmas card stash and the sketch at TGIF worked with the all white challenge from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown:

I pulled out some Basic White cardstock, white glimmer paper, an embossing folder and a snowflake die and went to work:

I added a sweet little Spellbinders embossed banner for the sentiment as well as some adhesive sequins to the center of the snowflakes for a little extra sparkle:

You can't tell, but I stamped the inside sentiment with silver Encore ink for some more sparkle!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

"For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith.  It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it.  God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do."  Ephesians 2:8-10

AHSC643 New House Congrats

Happy Monday, peeps! Hope you had a good weekend! Time for a new Atlantic Hearts sketch:

Fun and easy! A great way to use up some scraps!  The TGIF challenge this week is to use DSP from the Country Woods group, which is one of my favorites! I love the rustic quality and lovely colors:

And since I needed a congratulations card for my nephew, who just closed on his new-to-him house on Friday, it all seemed to work together!  Here we go:

I cut the panels of the DSP and adhered them to a Basic Beige card base, then added a little Crumb Cake house diecut from PTI that I have had forever!  I cut the heart from one of the pink pieces of the DSP and added a Candy Dot:

The outside sentiment is from Label Me Bold, stamped in Misty Moonlight ink, and the inside is from Paper Sweeties; it's called Blessed:

Since Brad lives right behind me, and his dog Remy comes often to visit and get treats, I am going to miss them both! Luckily, they're only a few minutes away, but I guess I won't need to buy dog treats any more!

I hope you'll play along with our sketch this week...really, it's such a great way to use up some scraps that we all accumulate!  Share it with us at the Atlantic Hearts blog!

Cassidy loved her card and appreciated all the birthday wishes!

Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

TGIF537 With Love

Happy Wednesday, all! I recently got the Extraordinary Flora bundle, and although I have played with the matching washi tape, my card today simply uses the stamp set and die.  I was intrigued by the sketch at TGIF:

So here we go:

I do not have a hexagon die, but I do have a punch, so I punched out a hexagon from Garden Green  cardstock, then cut a 1/4" around the outer edge to create a window.  I stamped the florals in Stazon black ink, then watercolored and diecut them out.  I created my square with some Calypso Coral DSP, then layered some of the florals around the hexagon, and added a sentiment from the same set:

I mounted it on a panel of Basic White, embossed with the Exposed Brick embossing folder, which all went on a white card base.  I left the inside blank and will add a sentiment as I need it!

Here's my final array of b-day cards!  This beauty is from Peggy; the gold leaves and fun sentiment treatment really make this card stand out!

This fun lobster card is from my equally fun friend, Shawn! I love how she combined colors and patterns on this card as well as the SEQUINS!

Finally, this beauty (featuring some of my favorite colors!) from the creative Wendy! I just love this woodgrain pattern!

Again, thanks ladies! You helped me celebrate my birthday a wee bit longer!  And thank you for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Merry Christmas Bells

Happy Saturday, peeps! A quick card today, a Christmas one that basically has almost no stamping!  The Jingle Belles want to see bells, and I've used the sketch from TGIF Challenges:

I found this star and bell cutout in my scrap bin while rummaging around on my desk and thought it would fit the bell challenge nicely!  I pulled out some DSPs from my stash and put them all together:

The star and pink snowflake papers are from Mintay (Merry Little Christmas), and the background paper is from Divinity Designs (Christmas Paper Collection 2014).  The little diecut is from Gummiapan:

I added some pink sequins, and before adhering the pink paper, I diecut out a panel from the background and used it to stamp the sentiment for the inside; it's from SU's Greetings of the Season:

Another Christmas card to add to my stash!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TGIF512 Serene Love Friend

Happy Wednesday, peeps! I have a quick card using some very pretty Serene Love DSP that was on sale, along with the sketch from TGIF Challenges:

To be honest, on SU's webpage, these papers looked much brighter and lighter than they do in real life! In fact, I thought I had gotten a different DSP in error!  This pattern happens to be Night of Navy and I think I was expecting Blueberry Bushel.  Anyway, I decided to put it to use with this fun little sketch.  It's a little more busy than my usual style:

The card itself is 4 /14" square; I diecut a white square and used the outer edge as a frame for the inside embossed piece.  The large floral was fussy-cut from one of the papers, and the sentiment is from the Everyday Greetings set.  I used another piece of the DSP to pop behind it and added a pearl to dot the "i":

A simple sentiment on the inside from the same set!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TGIF498 Fragrant Forest

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I am squeaking in a card for the TGIF498 sketch challenge:

At our club meeting on Monday, we used the Fragrant Forest background stamp.  I think background stamps can be a bit intimidating, but with a little practice, a stamp positioner and maybe a sticky mat, you can create some pretty awesome backgrounds!  Here's the card we made:

We used Lost Lagoon ink and the Peaceful Season stamp set.  I had another blank panel stamped, but not adhered to a card, so I decided to cut out part of it with a circle die and use it for the TGIF sketch:

I used some retired Soft Glimmer papers in Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock for the horizontal pieces and the scalloped mat, then added another sentiment from Peaceful Season.  I also added an embossed panel (Snowflake Sky).

Here's the inside:

These trees are so pretty!  Thanks for popping in today!

My brother sent me this photo from my dad's field:

Pretty awesome!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TGIF494 Spectacolar Birthday

Happy Saturday, peeps! Just a fun little card today for the TGIF sketch challenge:

I needed a birthday card for a friend from church who loves Mexican food; my mind immediately went to the retired Taco Fiesta set!  I turned the sketch on its side and here's what I came up with:

I stamped all the images in Memento black ink and colored them with Blends, then fussy-cut them and mounted them on white panels matted with Poppy Parade.  A retired piece of Granny Apple Green DSP worked for the background, and the sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade as well!

I love this sketch and I hope he loves his card!  Thanks so much for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TCH92 Feel Better Soon

Hello, everyone!  I haven't gotten my Country Flowers set inky for a while, and the Color Hues challenge of pink and brown got me to thinking!

So here we go:

I also used the TGIF Challenge sketch:

I began with some Pretty in Pink striped DSP, then added my Pecan Pie teapot and my pink and tan flowers:

The flowers were stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon ink so I could watercolor them in; the pot was stamped in Craft White ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  For fun, I adhered the layers of the pink DSP to a piece of white scrap paper, then ran it through the Eyelet embossing folder before adhering it to a mat of Crumb Cake. I also added some Crumb Cake leaves behind the flowers.  A sentiment from Unbounded Love and a few sequins finished it off.  This color combination kind of reminds me of Neopolitan ice cream, LOL!

The kids went to King's Dominion in Virginia over the weekend for Cassidy's birthday and did a spooky escape room:

The next day, they got stuck on a roller coaster!!! They were only a short distance from the end, but I guess they had to be rescued!  Yikes!

This is why I just watch from the sidelines, LOL! Thanks so much for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!
