Happy Friday, all!  A quick card today incorporating three challenges  Color Throwdown:
Little Red Wagon wants clean and simple, and Stampin’ Royalty wants us to use circles!  I need a birthday card for my nephew who is a senior in high school this year (how did THAT happen?) and he was a lifeguard this summer, so this retired SU Surfer image seemed appropriate!  I used some circle dies, the spatter from Gorgeous Grunge, and the circles were inked with various bottles on my desk…I just dipped them into the Daffodil Delight ink pad!  Fun, huh?!  The sentiment is from the retired Hi There:

And my inside sentiment is courtesy of a Paper Pumpkin kit from a couple months ago!

Thanks for popping by!
Cassidy went “mining” while she was camping (the gems are placed on little outcroppings of rock, so they’re easy to find)….this is her stash!  She’s looking a little tired….I think it was the end of a long, fun-filled day!

Howdy peeps!  Oops, this post was supposed to be for Thursday morning!  Oh well!   Boy, this week is zipping by, isn’t it?  Today was just glorious here in southeastern PA!  I spent a wee bit of time stamping and a lot of time outside!  My nephew’s birthday is coming up and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was just what I needed:
Since he lives along the SC coast, I chose the retired Surfer for his card, stamped on a Sahara Sand panel diecut from the Chalk Talk set of dies.  I matched it up with some Soho Subway papers and a Pistachio Pudding card base:

I added some Gorgeous Grunge “water” and the birthday sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners:

I hope he likes it!

We spent a lot of time in the sand box today!

She was so intent on what she was making, I could hardly get her to look up for a photo!  She had a blast!  Enjoy your day!

Paper Players 146 Old Meets New

DSCF4929-001
Cowabunga, peeps!  Ann has a nice CAS masculine challenge for us today at the Paper Players:
I mixed some “old” retired sets and embellishments with a “new” In Color, Coastal Cabana!!!  This is such a wonderful summery, beachy color, I just had to use the surfer dude image, also stamped in Coastal Cabana on a piece of Comfort CafĂ© DP:

I used my Nesties to cut him out, then continued the circular theme with a round sentiment, some circular piercing and some jumbo silver brads!  And since he is stamped on DP, this qualifies for the CAS-ual Friday challenge this week!

I stamped the Sanded background stamp in white craft ink, which adds to the “organic” feel to this card!  Easy peasy!  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me!
I hope you’ll find time to play with us this week—we all can use more masculine cards, and CAS means quick and simple!  Be sure to check out the Paper Players blog to see what the fabulously creative designers have made to inspire you!  Can’t wait to see yours as well!
Cassidy thought it was hysterical to blow a dandelion into Grampy’s face!
