A Coupla Cards

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Another dreary day here in PA, I had only a couple of minutes to stamp yesterday and I needed a thank you card.  We allow an NA (Narcotics Anonymous) group to use our church for meetings, and they always set up chairs and tables for us when we have an event.  It is a BIG help for me, so I made them some cookies and wanted to give them a card as well.  This card should have taken about 5 minutes to make, although it took longer just to diecut the fox and scallop!  I was in a real hurry so it was definitely a rush job!  It's for the Stamp Ink Paper challenge, which is to use a large sentiment:

My sentiment is from an old SAB set called So Very Much, stamped directly on to some Photo Play paper called Autumn Day, with Early Espresso ink.  The fox was on the opposite side of the paper; I just diecut him with a circle die and added an Early Espresso scallop border:

In hindsight, I should have used a different color card base, but I already had this one cut and scored, and as I said, I was in a rush, LOL!

The next card is one I made a couple of days ago; at our latest club meetings, we played with embossing paste and stencils, so I made this little scene to show the clouds from our Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  I must be on a fox kick, 'cuz look....another fox!

I used Foxy Friends and the coordinating punch to make my little fox; the trees were cut with the matching die from a couple of years back, and I hand-cut the mushrooms and tree stump.  I added a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings just for fun:

And since Festive Friday's challenge this week features "clouds", I am entering it there!

JUGS New Stuff

Hi peeps!  I had a low-key weekend, only did a wee bit of stamping, and it was easy stamping as well!  I needed several thank you cards, so I did some assembly line-style stamping using the new SAB set, So Very Much and the new Occasions catalog set, Perfect Mix:

I love the little puns in the Perfect Mix set!  I stamped the graters with Basic Black ink on different colors of the Festive Birthday DSP, then stamped the "Thank You" in white craft ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I did add a little shading with some ink and an aquapainter on each one.  The Pumpkin Pie one got some enamel dots as an embellishment in the lower left corner:

And the Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise ones got a thin strip of Basic Black cardstock as their embellishment:

Fun, quick and easy to make!  And since these are new stamp sets, I am entering them in Just Us Girls' "New" challenge:

Thanks for popping in today!  Have a blessed day!

My little snow angel!

Stamp Ink Paper 79

Happy Tuesday again, peeps!  If you're looking for my TSOT post, it's here.  Today is my last challenge for the Stamp Ink Paper team, and Justin has a great one for us....forced me out of my Christmas card-making endless loop:

No automatic alt text available.

I just got some SAB goodies...yes, it's coming up to that time of the year!  In fact, I have a whole box of goodies that I haven't even delved into yet...too much Christmas going on!  But I did pull out Delicate Details and So Very Much, because I needed a thank-you card for a new customer.  Here we go:

Sweet Sugarplum is such a pretty shade, so I decided to create my card using it as my card base. I stamped the sentiment in white craft ink and embossed it with white embossing powder, then added some details from Awesomely Artistic, stamping right over top of the embossing:

and Delicate Details (LOVE this new set!):

And finally, I stamped a bird from Best Birds on thick white cardstock, diecut it out and added some very loose, light watercoloring with Sweet Sugarplum and Smoky Slate inks and an aquapainter:

I just love this little guy!  I hope you'll play with our challenge this week...I know it's a crazy time of the year but maybe you can squeeze in one more challenge!  Hope to see you at SIP!

We FINALLY got our tree up, although if this tree lasts until December 25, it will be a Christmas miracle.  It drops its needles if you just LOOK at it.  The dustbuster is a permanent fixture, plugged in and ready to use each & every day!  I am almost convinced to go artificial next year!

Of course, I had a helper!

Always clownin' around!

Enjoy your day!
