Happy Thursday, peeps! I have one more Christmas card…can you believe it? I still am thinking of people I’ve missed! This one is for a couple from my church who are celebrating their first Christmas as newlyweds! She was a music major in college, so I thought she would enjoy this card. I used some leftover digital musical paper I had printed for another project, and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:
and here we go:
I used some other scraps of DSP from my plethora of 6x6 pads; the vertical piece is stamped with a Unity single stamp called Rejoice for our Silent Night; the circular panel is stamped with the words from The Sounding Joy (ret. SU) and the “joy” diecut is from Lil’Inker:
I added some gold glimmer stars and a little bit of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon to complete my card! Thanks for visiting today!
We attempted to make gingerbread cookies yesterday; Cassidy quickly got bored with the rolling and cutting part, which is the part I thought she would like, and she couldn’t handle the piping, but she definitely got into the sprinkles:
and the eating!
They weren’t the most beautiful cookies, but she had fun!
Phew, I finally got a chance to stamp some challenges!! I made a card using a color combo a bit unusual for Christmas!
Inspired By 97:
I also used the CASology Cue Card, which was Bell; and the cool sketch from CAS(e) This Sketch:
Of course, I was working from memory and didn’t put the sentiment in quite the right spot, but I still love this:
After seeing Sandy’s sweet card here, I followed her example and masked off an area onto which I wheeled my music in Soft Sky, then added the sentiment from The Sounding Joy in Midnight Muse:
Lastly, I added a diecut bell in gold, some Soft Sky branches and a little shabby bow from my stash of dyed seam binding…I actually had the perfect color! Another Christmas card for my supply!
Cassidy found a plastic model house from the 60s that my grandmother used for a Christmas display…it’s actually for a train set….and insisted that Grampy help her assemble it:
Here, she is telling Grampy that when she gets older, she will put it together without his help! And yes, she is wearing a Halloween shirt…she likes it.
The finished product!
My little engineer! Enjoy your day, and be sure to come back tomorrow for a really cool challenge from Jaydee for the Paper Players!
A quick card today for Lesley’s Merry Monday Sketch#4:
Another Christmas card for my stash:
These colors are neutral, but I love the effect. Thanks for visiting today!
