Paper Players 152
Happy Sunday, peeps! Wow, can you believe today is the last day of June?!! The year is zipping by! Today I am the hostess at the Paper Players, and I have a tic-tac-toe challenge for everyone:
Since I already had the Soho Subway papers on my desk, I decided to use them again! I chose the left down column for my tic-tac-toe, because I love birds and I always need get-well cards! I used the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch:
and I flipped the sketch so my little bird wouldn’t be looking off into outer space:
I love this card so much, I don’t want to part with it! I used a Chalk Talk diecut, cutting off the bottom point, for my tag, running it through the Big Shot with the Needlepoint Border cross-stitch folder for some “stitching”, which also qualifies this for the Let’s Get Trendy Now 3 stitching challenge! I highlighted the stitching with my white gel pen to make it stand out a bit more. All the stamped elements except the sentiment are from Everything Eleanor, including the element behind the tag, which is a little hard to see:
The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen---what a great set!
So---what can you do with this tac-tac-toe challenge? I hope you have fun with it---maybe create more than one project??!!! Share them with us at the Paper Players blog where you’ll see ALL the amazing designers’ samples as well!
Life is cool!

IHS021 & SFF053113
Happy Wednesday, everyone! You know how you have that “letdown” after a big event….Christmas, wedding, birth….that’s sort of how I felt yesterday after saying goodbye to my college roommates! I had some photos printed for them and thought I would make a couple of cards to go with them, using some current sketches. The first one is the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch:
I recently got some new papers, so I did some random stamping with some sentiment stamps on this plaid background, then added my focal image, stamped in Melon Mambo:
A little embossed mat and some organdy flowers finished off this simple card.
The next one (I made two of these) uses the I {heart} sketches sketch:
I flipped this sketch on its side and made it a standard A4 size:
I used the same images and sentiments, but different colors and papers! It’s fun to see how different a card can be when you change the elements!
I miss my friends already! I hope they enjoy these cards! If you have any questions about them, please be sure to send me an email!

ColourQ189
Wheeee! Happy Tuesday, peeps! Are you ready for a windy inspiration photo for today’s ColourQ challenge?
Isn’t this a cool kite? I am not too good at kite-flying, but I sure would like to give this one a try! I felt the bold graphics in this image were a great segue to sneak-peek the upcoming Mosaic Madness set that will be in the new catalog:
I wish this photo did this card justice….it’s really vibrant and bold IRL! I also used the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch from this week, which is a great basic sketch, simple enough to carry these elements:
I started by embossing my white panel with the new Modern Mosaic EF, then using my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the images on the embossing. The new mosaic punch makes it a snap to punch out the larger images….the smaller Calypso Coral ones I cut out with my snips:
I added some strategically-placed rhinestones and a cute little sentiment stamped on top of one of the borders that comes with the set:
My mind is spinning with more ideas with this set! Meanwhile, I hope your mind is spinning with ideas on how to use these cool colors together, and I hope you’ll share them with us at the ColourQ blog! As usual, the courtiers have stamped some marvelous projects, and be sure to check out our new member, Melissa!
A rite of spring:

Happy Saturday, peeps! Just a quick little post today, both cards using the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch:
I love this sketch because it lets you use up some of those scraps from the Print Poetry pack!!! First, a feminine one:
This uses a resin flower in Primrose Petals, some diecut buttons, and an Apothecary Accents Framelit along with a sentiment from Delightful Dozen.
The second one is more masculine; in fact this is going out in the mail tomorrow for a forgotten birthday! The image and sentiment are from last year’s Ronald McDonald stamp set, Turtle & Co:
My little snail is paper pieced, too:
Thanks for looking today!
A little homemade clay fun!

Paper Players 128
Happy Sunday, everyone! I am looking forward to celebrating today with all my hostesses! So this will be QUICK! It’s Anne Marie’s turn to be the hostess at the Paper Players, and she has chosen this contemporary color combo for us:
I thought that little whale in the new set Oh, Whale! would be perfect for these colors:
The background paper is from the new DP, Sunshine and Sprinkles; sentiment is from Word Play; the sketch is from Sketch Frenzy Friday:
I couldn’t help giving my little whale a couple of little eyelashes too:
Hope you can play along with us! Wiggle on over to the Paper Players blog to see what the other designers came up with using these fun colors! We can’t wait to see what you create!

A fun little card today for a couple of challenges: Sketch Frenzy Friday had a nice sketch this week:
And Papercraft Star had a pretty color combo of yellow and gray:
And here we go:
I mixed some MME papers and images from PTI’s On the Farm and I was done….although the wheat is from Artistic Outpost! I love this color combo!
Thanks for visiting…any questions, pop me a line, and be sure to stop back tomorrow with a fun challenge from Anne Marie at the Paper Players!
