AYSI354 Basket of Wishes

Happy Friday, everyone! Time for a new As You See It challenge and what a fun one it is:

I don't think we've ever done a picnic challenge, but I JUST got the perfect papers for it, and I pulled out a perfect stamp as well!  Here we go:

Papertrey had a fun set full of picnic baskets and coordinating sayings, so I pulled one out, inked it up with some Versafine ink and watercolored in my design.  I then diecut it with an Everyday Arches die and added a banner sentiment and a baker's twine bow:

I just receivevd some of these fun plaid papers from Scrapbook.com, so I put that layer on a Basic Beige card base and it's ready for my birthday stash!

I hope you'll play along with our picnic challenge this week too! Truthfully, there are lots of things you could stamp that are picnic related! Put on your thinking cap and come play along! You can see all the DT creations at the AYSI blog!

A few more birthday cards; this boatful of critters, which made both John and me laugh out loud, is from Sally:

No one beats Michele for florals....this is a stunner for sure:

And this one from my upline, Pennie, combines so many fun little elements into her CAS card:

Thanks, ladies, I love them all! Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

IC177 Boo!

Happy gray Monday, peeps! Tonight is Christmas card stamp camp, so this will be quick, as was my card!  The Inspire.Create challenge is to CASE the designer with this card:

What a fun sketch! I have several Halloween stamps that I like to use at least once during the season, and this little vintage cat on a broom is one of them:

The papers were a gift from one of my stamping girls; I looked through several catalogs and I honestly cannot remember these papers from SU but I am sure they are!  My eyes must be really getting bad because I thought for sure there was some gray in them, hence the Basic Gray base, but obviously, the dots are Old Olive.....but hopefully it still looks okay!  I stamped the cat on Basic Beige and partially cut out the broom, then used a Stitched Shape circle die to cut it out:

I lightly stamped the grunge image from the retired Label Me Bold to give him a spooky background!  The sentiment is an old stamp from Recollections, diecut with a banner die and matted with another Basic Gray banner and some old enamel dots:

On the inside, some more grunge and a sentiment from the retired Little Delights:

Such a fun and easy card to make!  And speaking of fun cards, my friend Beth sent me this one; the front is a bookmark that can be removed!  So cute:

Thanks, Beth!  And here are a couple more pictures from the fair; I didn't get many but I always like to see the giant pumpkins! I wonder how they transported them?

Charlie Brown would be proud of both of these "great pumpkins"!!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS647 Just a Note

Happy Thursday, everyone! And happy August!  I had a chance to stamp between shredding zucchini and blanching tomatoes yesterday, and the FMS sketch by Karren was a fun one:

I pulled out a bunch of retired products and this is what I came up with:

These papers from the retired Fitting Florets are so pretty! It was hard to choose just three!  I finally decided on the ones I wanted, then added a sentiment from Simply Said, diecut with a Stitched Shapes square and matted with a Layering Squares mat:

My simple embellishment was a Pierced Blooms flower!  I left the inside blank and I'll stamp it when I decide the occasion!  I really like this sketch, I can see it being used again, maybe with some Christmas papers!  Thanks for popping in today!

Here are a few of the birthday cards I received!  This beauty is from my friend Shawn:

And this fun fold with its gorgeous papers is from Wendy:

And this is from my friend Sandy, who always remembers my birthday and gives me great goodies even when it's not my birthday!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Warmest Holiday Wishes

Hi peeps! Happy Monday, Happy August!  I have a quick, simple little Christmas card for you today; it fulfills two challenges:  the Jingle Belles want a blue Christmas, and Inspire.Create has a sketch:

I pulled out some blue-toned wintery printed paper and a new little stamp set I got recently from Impression Obsession and went to work:

The papers are from Carta Bella's Welcome Winter; the stamps are Impression Obsession's Warmest Holiday Wishes.  I stamped them in Misty Moonlight on a scrap of Basic White, then diecut them with a Tailor Made Tag die, fussy-cutting the hat, and adding some Linen Braided Trim.  I also added a little snowflake from a scrap of the printed paper from the same Winter pad:

I added a Christmas sentiment to the inside (which I forgot to photograph)! and it was done! And here are a couple more birthday cards from my friends:

This one is from my friend Debby, who attends my church; she used some bold, bright beautiful fabric to create the front panel for this one:

And this fun card is from my friend Mollie:

I squealed wtih delight when I saw this cute summery card from my friend Sally:

And Michele's watercolored florals with that fabulous background brought a birthday smile to my face!

Thank you everyone!  Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

A Special Halloween Card Plus Cards from Friends

Happy Wednesday, peeps! I have a fun card to share with you and it is a CASE from my special friend Karen! She sent me this neat Halloween card with a cool fun fold inside:

Aren't those papers cute?  And here's the inside; I love it!

I CASEd her fun fold (it's very similar to the diamond-fold cards I recently made) for a very special someone; I used a bunch of retired Halloween sets and dies from my stash:

And here's my inside:

Karen used a velcro dot to hold hers together but since I couldn't find mine, I used a couple of little magnets!  Now, on to some more goodies from my friends!  My stamping buddy Sandy, who is always SO generous to me, gave me a couple gifts in this ADORABLE bag she made herself!  The postcard image is printed on clear acetate...it's amazing!!  I can't stop looking at it!

Oh my gosh, so cute!

And this stunning card is from my friend Doris; the leaf is red foil and it moves back & forth!

My Paper Players teammate Nancy sent me this gorgeous fall beauty: I need to do one of those raised sentiments like she did:

And when my sweet friend paid me a surprise visit from Michigan, she brought this cutie with her:

I am so blessed to have crafty friends!  Enjoy your day and be blessed too!
