Inkspire Me #529 Easter Bunny

Hi there, everyone! Happy Friday! I have a fun little Easter card today using the sketch from In(k)spire Me:

I can't let Easter go by without using my Tim Holtz Carrot Bunny die:

He was created with Basic White, Basic Black, Bubble Bath, Pumpkin Pie, Pale Papaya, Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist cardstocks, mounted on a Very Vanilla diecut circle and embellished with some Crisp Cantaloupe twine:

The sentiment is from a very old Purple Onion set, and the background paper is from Carta Bella's Home Again line, which matches the Soft Succulent card base perfectly!  Isn't he a cutie!? Although I will admit that those teeeeeeeny tiny pieces are a bit fiddly! Next time I am using a marker to make his eyes, LOL!   Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

CTD714 Trick or Treat

Happy Saturday, all!  I have a fun card for you featuring the colors from Color Throwdown, which I never seem to get to play with!  So I made an effort, and although these were a wee bit out of my comfort zone I kinda like how it turned out!  First, here are the colors (great photo inspiration, isn't it?):

And here we go:

I stamped the Purple Onion pumpkins on Thick White cardstock in Cajun Craze ink and used Dark & Light Cajun Craze Blends to color them in....my blending skills are not as good as I'd like, unfortunately!  I colored the stems with Crumb Cake, then very carefully cut them out and adhered them to a Misty Moonlight card base.  I sponged Misty Moonlight ink around the edges so that the jacks were highlighted a bit:

Then I added some Tim Holtz stickers for my sentiment.  I colored in the little star on the middle punkin stem with a Gold Wink of Stella pen, so I added a few more "stars" around the sentiment; hopefully you can see them; they look really cool IRL!:

Finally, a sentiment for the inside, stamped in Night of Navy:

Thanks for popping in today!

And speaking of pumpkins, our neighbor has a wonderful garden and after his family picks as many pumpkins as they want, he lets us come and get some too!

I recently saw that a teacher grew a pumpkin that weighed 2650 pounds!  This one doesn't weigh that much but it was plenty heavy!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TCC150 Happy St Patrick's Day

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  It's time for a new Card Concept challenge, where we describe our stamping style!  This is one I hope you'll find seasonal and fun:

I love the fresh colors in this inspiration photo, but the little hat is what inspired me to create my Clean and Layered card, using the Gift Givers stamp which I already had on my desk!

I stamped this little guy in Memento ink, colored him with Blends, then diecut him out and added a Gold Foil scallop layer.  The sentiment is from a really, really old set from Purple Onion, stamped in Shaded Spruce, and the layers are Bumblebee and Felicity DSP from Bo Bunny:

I also added a glimmer bow from Pretty Pines for some extra fun!  The sketch that I used is from Sketch Saturday:

I am also entering this at Always Fun Challenges; they're looking for "good luck" cards!

I hope you'll play along with our Card Concept challenge this week...even if you don't celebrate St Patrick's Day, I am sure you'll find something to inspire you!  Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy came over Sunday afternoon and decided to make a card for her friend Avery.  She wanted to try some splatter art, so we got some craft ink, a paint brush and went to work! She had an idea to create a mask with the letters of Avery's name, then splatter paint over it.  We used the Little Letters dies and some repositionable tape to create the mask, then she splattered various colors of paint on top.  She learned how to splatter the paint by watching a YouTube video:

She even added some glitter paint!  If you look closely, you can see the letters; we dried it with my heat gun and then she peeled off the letters.  More to come this week!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Three Fall Cards

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I have three cards to share today, all with a fall (or Halloween) theme!  Here we go:

The first one uses the sketch from FMS for this week:

I used the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP, along with matching cardstocks and inks, and the Forever Fern stamp set to create my card:

It also features one of the Greenery embossing folders, some vellum, some Metallic Ribbon and some bronze Brushed Metallic DSP:

These colors are so pretty together!  The next one features the sketch from In(k)spire Me:

I used some DSP from the Flowers for All Seasons DSP, and an Indian corn image from Purple Onion, stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon:

I used some vellum for the sentiment (My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments), added some Ornate Borders, and because it looked a little plain, I added some gold Glimmer paper too!

Finally, a silly little card I made using the CAS(E) This Sketch sketch:

I thought about using one of the Triangle Dies to create a witch hat (while in bed one night, sleepless!) and this is what I came up with:

This one won't win any beauty contests, but it did make me laugh!  (Maybe I'll send it to Cassidy!) I used the elf image from the retired Jolly Friends set, stamping it on Soft Seafoam cardstock and adding some shading with Pear Pizzazz.  Her hair is Smoky Slate cardstock; the panels are from Authentique's Nightfall paper pad, and her hat is from black and orange Glimmer cardstock:

I added a "trick or treat" diecut and mounted everything on a Soft Seafoam card embossing with a retired Cobweb embossing folder!

Phew!  Thanks for hanging in there with me....enjoy your day and be blessed! And be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge!

More Punkins

Hey, everyone!  I seem to be on a pumpkin roll this week, no pun intended!  I got this uber-cute little trio of pumpkins recently and couldn't wait to ink it up:

I stamped it on some Crumb Cake with Memento ink and colored them in with some Blends.  I stamped them again on some scrap paper, creating a mask, and overstamped it with a retired background stamp, Sanded.  I just love that sweet little star...I added some Wink of Stella to it for sparkle!  I stamped a few little sparkly stars on the background as well:

I added a sentiment and a wonky-stitched die, and mounted it on a Cajun Craze base!

Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I am into Christmas prep up to my eyeballs, so if you don’t see me around, you’ll know why!  LOTS of cookie-making going on here!  I did squeak in a really easy card yesterday, though!  Merry Monday has a candy cane-themed challenge:

and I just happened to get myself a couple of new Christmas gifts, one being a little pack of October Afternoon vintage cutouts!  This one features a couple of little critters on a candy-cane powered sled!  I fooled around with a fun fold so that they would be “sledding” off the edge:

I love these images even more because they’re printed on both sides!  I added an assortment of some fun new papers and a couple of sentiments from Purple Onion and Close to My Heart:

Cassidy helped me pick out the papers….the red snowflake one is her favorite!  All my cards are sent out, so this will be for next year!

We made mint chocolate chip cookies today, and despite my warnings, Cassidy just HAD to try a taste of unsweetened cocoa….she had to wash the taste down with some milk, LOL!

ColourQ234

DSCF1640
Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Arielle has a sweet inspiration photo for us today at the ColourQ:

I wish I had hair long enough to use this comb…isn’t it pretty?  I settled for some popsicles!  Purple Onion is having a birthday challenge, and the only stamps I have from them, besides Christmas, are little seasonal ones.  So I picked out an image that I thought would look good in these colors, which sort of remind me of ice cream, and came up with this little notecard:

I stamped the base of my card with the retired Distressed Dots background stamp in Smoky Slate (instead of Going Gray!) and stamped my popsicles in the same shade, coloring each one with a blender pen and ink:

I wish you could see how cute these are IRL!  The photo doesn’t do it justice!  I added “celebrate” along the bottom of my panel, some speckles with Apricot Appeal and lavished it up with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter!  I mounted it on a diecut tag from MFT, added a MFT diecut button and some scallops from the SU Scallop Border punch.  Finally, some silver ribbon to finish it off!  And the inside, just a simple birthday greeting:

Makes me long for summer…heck, I wish spring would just get here!!  But hey!  I saw  BLUEBIRD out my window yesterday, so I know it is really on its way!!!  Yahoo!!!  So what will you create with these luscious colors?  Share your creation with us at the ColourQ challenge too!

We have a serious tea party going on here!!!

Merry Monday 96

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 96 Christmas Card -001

Hi everyone!  It’s another Monday---did you have a good weekend!  We did!  The challenge for Merry Monday this week is to use holly!  What a beautiful seasonal image, right?

I found some pretty holly paper in my stash as well as a cute little scene embellished with holly, so I paired them up:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 96 Christmas Card

I stamped each image twice on Sahara Sand; once in Wild Wasabi ink and again in Riding Hood Red ink, then colored each one with a blender pen and did some fussy cutting and layering.  I also stamped a separate holly image and did the same thing, layering it under a Riding Hood Red bow:

Actually, the children in the image are hanging mistletoe, but the holly is in the corners, LOL!  This sweet set is retired from Cornish Heritage Farm.  The whole thing is mounted on a gingham-stamped scalloped panel as well.  I had a little scrap of designer paper that I used on the inside too:

And while I was at it, I figured I would go ahead and use another scrap I had to make a second card!  Usually I show you a second card because I didn’t like it and I made another, but this one is not too bad….just using up scraps!!!

Although I do think the sentiment is a little too whimsical for the paper, I liked the words, LOL!

SO…..now it’s your turn to show us your holly cards!  Be sure to check out the Merry Monday blog where you’ll be able to see all the creations put out by the Design Team!  They always come up with the most amazing things!

Mommy “shared” her birthday candles with Cassidy (just ignore the horrible-looking frosting job—it was really quite tasty!) and she did a great job of blowing them out!
