CASC&S532 Thinking of You

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  The Clean and Simple Colours and Sketches challenge is a pretty color one this week:

And my sweet friend from over the pond, Joanne, is the hostess!  I loved her card SO MUCH that I am CASEing it, using a retired set called Pocket Silhouettes, along with another oldie, Teeny Tiny Wishes!  Here we go with my simple card:

I used markers to color each of the florals, then diecut them with a Stitched Shapes die.  They were mounted on an Azure Afternoon panel that was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, and I also added a strip of Balmy Blue under them.  The sentiment was also stamped in Balmy Blue and diecut with a banner die (although I am wishing I had stamped it in Old Olive!!):

A Stamp Simply sentiment went on the inside, along with a repeat of one of the silhouettes, stamped in Balmy Blue:

Sadly, I am going to need another sympathy card....two deaths in two days within our church family!  Thanks for visiting today!

Dana told me the pups got new beds....Eden's not hard to spot, but can you see Ginger?

She's so tiny, I guess she gets cold easily, so she burrows down under the covers, LOL!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP442 CAS Plants

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Hope you are having a good weekend so far...today it's Laurie's turn to be our Paper Players hostess, and for her clean-and-simple challenge, she's chosen plants!  What a great idea!

I didn't think I had any "plant" stamps, but I did remember this sweet little set from a few years back called Pocket Silhouettes...and I am so happy with the way this turned out!  I stamped three images in Call Me Clover and added a sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday:

Since the CAS on Sunday challenge this week is polka dots, I added a "planter" of Call Me Clover polka dotted DSP, diecut with a Stitched Rectangle die; I like how it mimics the dots in the plant image!

I had this retired stamp set, Sincere Salutations, in the same stamp case as the silhouette, so I went ahead and used it for my inside, stamping another little silhouette down at the bottom.  Everything went on a Call Me Clover card base.  And since I didn't get my birthday sentiment quite centered, I added a pearl (another polka dot, LOL!) that I colored with a Blend to create a more balanced sentiment!

I love this card, I am going to be hard-pressed to mail it out, LOL!  I hope you'll play along with our clean-and-simple challenge!  Can't wait to see what you create!  Be sure to check out the rules at the Paper Players blog and while you're there, see what the designers created as well!  Thanks for popping by today!

Scary girl!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

ColourQ217

Happy Monday, peeps!  Brrrr…..winter has made a cold, cold appearance around here the last few days!  I wish I could say I spent the entire weekend stamping, but other things got in the way!  I was able to make a cute little get-well card  using Arielle’s trendy inspiration colors today:

And here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings ColourQ217 Pocket Silhouettes Get Well Card Stampin Up

I used the retired Pocket Silhouettes stamp set and embossed them in white on each of my color panels, adding a sentiment from Delightful Dozen.  As a nod to the metallic elements on the handbag, I added a couple of glimmer brads, which also mimics the circle embossing.  For a little extra fun, I embossed the Needlepoint Border across the top.  I used the RetroSketches sketch from this week as well:

And here’s the inside:

And this card is already in the mail!!!   I hope this cool purse inspires you to be creative this week!  Share your card with us at the ColourQ blog and check out what the other designers made as well!

ColourQ134 and CAS187

DSCF0392

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Another exciting color challenge for the ColourQ today----Arielle really made me put on my creative thinking cap with this one:

cqc134

This definitely has an Asian theme to it, and I do not have anything evenly remotely Asian!  But I do have Pocket Silhouettes, which sadly is retiring at the end of May, so I pulled them out and followed the Clean and Simple Fall to Layout 187:

and here’s what I came up with:

CQC134-LeAnne

Although I had my doubts about these colors when I began, I ended up really liking this card!!!  That’s what challenges are for, right?  Each stamped circle was backed with a matching mat, and the two outer ones were embossed with the Elegant Lines embossing folder and enhanced with a little silver doohickey.  And don’t you just love that sentiment?  Sweet!  I hope you can find something fun, pretty and creative to do with these colors too!  Share your project with us over at the ColourQ blog and be sure to check out what the other designers did as well.  I am amazed each week at the different styles they come up with!  And as always, if you have any questions, shoot me an email!

Dana took these pictures of Cassidy trying to eat a dandelion puff:

Cassidy didn't like the dandelion-001No, she’s NOT laughing!!! LOL!  Good thing she had that water bottle to wash it down!

CQC89 & TESC140

DSCF8058

Happy Tuesday—which means it’s ColourQ time! I was sweating bullets when I saw this color combo:

cqc89

What in the world was I going to do with these? I already had my Father’s Day cards done, so I didn’t want to make another one. The colors had a subdued feel to me, so I opted to make a sympathy card, which although I hate having to make, are helpful to have on hand:

CQC89-LeAnne

The card base is Bravo Burgundy with a layer of Cajun Craze; I did some shadow stamping again (I love this effect) with the images from Pocket Silhouettes, stamping them first in Basic Gray, then again in Bordering Blue on textured Whisper White. I added a little embossed border:

and a layered sentiment, anchored with silver Glimmer brads:

Using Taylor’s Sketch #140 was helpful:

Hope this whets your appetite to play along with us! Check out all the other samples at the CQC blog and share your creativity with us!

SSC201

DSCF6007

I needed a Mother’s Day card for a special someone whose favorite color is purple!  Concord Crush is probably my least favorite In Color, but I did have some Patterns DP, so I combined it with Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum for my simple card:

The sketch is from Stamping 411:

I did some heat embossing with white craft ink and white embossing powder using Pocket Silhouettes; the butterfly is from Dreams duJoir; sentiment is from All Holidays.  I added some pearls (forgot the three under the sentiment panel) and a little faux “eyelet” to the left of the embossed image.
