Christmas Joy in Kraft
Happy Thursday! Does anyone besides me get frustrated because there are so many great challenges out there and not enough time to participate in all of them? I combined four challenges today, something I don’t usually do, so bear with me! First, here’s my card:
And here are all the challenges:
- SCS WT333 Challenge – Altered Ribbon
- Little Red Wagon Challenge 91 – Heat Embossing
- Pals Paper Arts Challenge 104 – CAS Paper Piercing
- and The Kraft Journal’s Christmas in July
My simple sledding image was stamped with white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder, then mounted on a Very Vanilla panel and paper pierced all around it.
The sentiment was stamped on some off-white twill I got at a yard sale with Memento ink, and mounted over SU’s Simple Snowflake, also pierced and highlighted with a Jelly Roll pen.
I secured it with a Glimmer brad. Really easy and another Christmas card to add to my stash!
Okay, why does a bathroom seem like so much fun to an 11-month old?!
Thanks for visiting today, and thanks for all the birthday wishes!
Wee Details:
- Stamps: SU Simple Snowflake, Picture Show Stamps Sledders, Sweet & Sassy Holiday Greetings
- Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
- Ink: Craft White, Memento Brown
- Acc: Twill, Paper Piercer, Glimmer Brad, Jelly Roll Pen

Silly Card
My dad was a farmer when I was growing up, and even though he hasn’t farmed in years, he still has it in his blood! So when I saw this tractor and corn stamp set at a stamp show recently, I knew I had to get it! I made a very simple Father’s Day card because layers and doodads would not impress my dad too much:
I inked the tractor in Real Red, then rubbed off the ink from the wheels and markered them in Basic Black. After I stamped it, I masked it to stamp the corn in Wild Wasabi.
The sentiment was computer-generated, and I added some cut-outs from the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety DP:
I added a Father’s Day sentiment on the inside. This is also for the Little Red Wagon challenge this week—#85, for Dad!! Hope he likes it! Enjoy your day!

Mojo193, JB22 & CAS121
First, Happy Memorial Day to all! It is a beautiful, hot, sunny day here in PA, and although we are enjoying the weather, our hearts go out to the families of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can be free.
I had a little free time today to stamp a couple Christmas cards for my stash! The first one is for SCS’s CAS121, which was to use folded or scrunched ribbon:
I know it is difficult to see in this photo, but the ribbon ends are adhered at different points as they “frame” my little Scottie dog. I lightened this photo so you can see it a bit better:
The stamp is from Picture Show; DP is Max & Whiskers, BG; image is colored using ink & blender pen. Easy peasy.
The next one uses the Mojo Monday 193 sketch:
and also qualifies for the Jingle Belles “We Three Kings” challenge, which is to use three DPs in your card. So here we go:
There’s actually no stamping on this card, except for the sentiment inside!! Yikes! I altered the ribbon element to fit my picture a bit better. The images are from Crafty Secrets, DPs are Wassail from BG. Here’s a closer view:
The snowflake is from SU’s Northern Flurries diecut, covered in Versamark, Heat & Stick Powder and some MS vintage glitter.
I don’t have any pictures of Miss Cassidy today, but I do have a couple from the Memorial Day parade John & I were in! He marches with other servicemen; I march with my local Curves:
In our driveway, on the way to the parade;
One of the Curves girls, Barbara (not shown), brought three alpacas to march with us! Carol, the owner, got elected to help “walk” them! She, Barbara, her husband Jerry and I all went to school together. Who would think so many (many, many!) years later we’d be walking alpacas down the main street of our little town of West Grove, PA!!! LOL! They were quite a hit with everyone! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Fast Christmas Card
I am sneaking into my craft room to post a super-fast Christmas card before heading out to a church brunch this morning! You can’t get much cleaner or simpler than this:
Here’s a closeup of these sweet little bunnies with some glitter around the edges:
Another one for my stash! Email me if you have questions! Toodles!
