JAI779 Simple Birthday

Happy Tuesday, all!  Yesterday was Dana's birthday,so I made a very simple card for her using the Just Add Ink sketch:

I've not used the Perennial Lavender papers for a while, and she likes purple, so that's what I went with:

I added a little charm from my stash, tied to a white grosgrain ribbon; the sentiment below is from Prayers & Promises:

The inside sentiments are from Pinkfresh and Waffle Flower:

Addicted to CAS Pretty Little Bird

Happy Monday, peeps, and happy Labor Day if you're in the states!  I am slowly getting back into my stamping groove, I think I am mostly still in vacation mode!  The challenge at Addicted to CAS this week is "birds", and since I love birds, I thought I'd give it a go:

This challenge is pretty strict about their CAS requirements, so I kept it to one layer and one color:

This Inky Antics set is one I've had for a while and I love the pointillism effect!  I stamped everything in Starry Sky:

And stamped a big "Thank You" from Pinkfresh on the inside:

A very sweet friend from church handed me a card yesterday; I was a little puzzled because my birthday had come and gone, so imagine my surprise when I opened it up and it was a sweet thank you for making and sending cards to our church members! And even better, she included some postage stamps inside the card!  I was so encouraged by her sweet, generous gesture!  So this card is going to her! Any excuse to make another card, right?!

IB150 Vintage Santa Cheater Card

 Hello peeps, and happy Thursday!  Oh boy, do I LOVE today's Inspired By challenge!  Check out this sweet prompt:

As some of my stamping friends know, this is right up my vintage-Santa-lovin' alley!  These images just remind me of Christmas from when I was a wee one!  But I have to admit that I "cheated" a wee little bit in making my card today!  I happened to be hoarding some scrapbook papers from Authentique and I decided to break them out!  So the only stamping I did were the sentiments on the front and inside!  Here ya go:

Isn't he a jolly fellow?  And that reindeer is just too cute!  SO....here's the stamped sentiment on the front, from Pink Fresh's December Days:

And I did add some sparkle to Santa's beard and hat with some Martha Stewart and Dazzling Diamonds glitter:

 

And I found a simple sentiment from Close to My Heart for the inside; the card base is Mossy Meadow, so that's the ink I used, stamped on a Naturals White mat:
