AHSC583 Joy & Peace

Happy Monday, everyone! Time for a new Atlantic Hearts sketch!  Here we go:

What a lovely sketch! On Saturday, two demos in my downline gathered together for a SU event where we got to play with the new Winterly Tree Tops bundle!  It's not available yet, except to demonstrators! Before we met, I decided to play with it myself and I used these pretty swags to make a Christmas card:

I stamped them in Old Olive and used a blender pen and Old Olive and Mossy Meadow inks to fill in the greenery, and Real Red for the berries.  I used a sentiment from the retired Night Divine on a Very Vanilla Oval, and matted it with a Real Red scalloped oval. The background paper is from Traditions of St Nick DSP:

I mounted everything on a Basic Beige card, added a little satin ribbon and stamped this sentiment from the retired Peaceful Pines on the inside:

This is going to be a fun bundle to play with!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Christmas Wisdom Tree

Happy Saturday, everyone! I have another Christmas card to share today and it's for three challenges: the Color Throwdown challenge this week is red, white and kraft; the Jingle Belles want to see text, and the As You See It challenge has a recipe:

So here we go:

I began by diecutting the Wisdom Tree from Real Red cardstock, adhering a piece of adhesive sheet on the back.  This die is a bit fussy and I didn't want to try to glue everything down, so the adhesive sheet was helpful.  I adhered it to a piece of Crumb Cake that had been embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder that says "merry & bright', then put everything on a Basic White card base.  I suppose I should describe this as "over the top" again, what with that big gingham bow, but I wanted to get the "plaid" in there for the AYSI challenge and that's all I had, LOL. I finished it off with a red rhinestone on the star:

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment and tree image from Peaceful Pines; I love this effect:

Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Christmas Spirit

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  My card today is a Christmas card using the retired set, Peaceful Pines, and the sketch from Hand-Stamped Sentiments:

And here we go:

I stamped the tree in Soft Succulent ink, diecut it out and layered it on some papers from Violet Studio Designs called Home for Christmas along with some Soft Succulent panels as well:

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the same set, along with some leftover strips of DSP:

I am also entering this at Krafty Chicks, where it's "Christmas week"!

Thanks so much for visiting today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

AHSC Tis the Season

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Hope your week is going well so far.  We've had some clouds and rain here but I don't mind since the beginning of the week was so lovely!  I decided to do some Christmas card stamping, using some of the new DSP that will be coming on July 1; it's called Lights Aglow...so fun and pretty!  I used the Atlantic Hearts Sketch:

and pulled out an older SU stamp called Peaceful Pines that just seemed to coordinate with this fun pattern!  Here we go:

Aren't those little dots cute?  I added some gold strips to the sides of the DSP because there are actually little gold dots on the DSP too!  I diecut a tree from Evening Evergreen and backed it with some gold foil, then added a Cherry Cobbler glimmer paper star and horizontal panel:

This cute little sentiment was included in the set, so I stamped it in Cherry Cobbler and diecut it with Stylish Shapes; the label on the DSP package says the DSP is Very Vanilla, but I think next time I'll stick with Basic White!  My final addition were a few sequins from my stash!

I actually made two cards....my next card has very little stamping, but uses some gorgeous vintage papers from Simple Stories:

I originally tried to make this fit the Atlantic Hearts sketch but it just wasn't working!  The side panels are all actually one piece, part of the paper; I just trimmed Santa a bit to fit the front of my card.  I added a Scrapbook.com sentiment in Old Oliive on top of some burlap trim to add to the vintage feel:

And a wee bit of stamping on the inside too:

And since the Jingle Belles want to see cards with "The Man with the Bag", I am entering it there, as well as 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, which wants a vintage Christmas!

So happy you stopped in today! We've been so busy I haven't had time to take any pictures, but hopefully I'll get some tomorrow....it's pool day again!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

RRCB164 Prince of Peace

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  It's time for a new Retro Rubber challenge, where we give some love to those older (at least a year) stamps!  This week is an Anything Goes week...use anything you want, just make sure your stamps are at least a year old and tell us the approximate age!

I have a very simple card today; this was a remake of a card we did recently at my Christmas card stamp camp!  I like to make them simple but pretty, as I have all levels of stampers attending.  This one is a gate-fold card using the Peaceful Pines set from the 2015 Holiday Mini catalog:

\

I scored my Basic White card at 2 1/8" from each side to create the gate fold, then stamped the tree in Garden Green and the pot in Cinnamon Cider, using the dies from Perfect Pines to cut them out. I added a little gold glimmer star, also cut with a Perfect Pines die, then mounted everything on a Stitched So Sweetly diecut:

Before adhering to the front of my card, I embossed two Bumblebee panels with a retired Star embossing folder, then assembled everything!  You just need to remember to only adhere ONE SIDE of the stamped panel to the gate fold front....otherwise you won't be able to open your card!  I also stamped the sentiment from the same set on the inside:

I sure hope you'll play along with our Anything Goes challenge at Retro Rubber this week!  Be sure to pop by the blog to see what the other designers created, and share your with us too!  Thanks for visiting today!

A few more birthday cards:

This cutie is from Donna....she knows my crafty side so well!

And another fun one from Shawn:

And this gorgeous fun fold is from Darlene; I tried to make one of these myself but failed miserably!  Hers has given me inspiration to maybe try again!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Tis the Season

Happy Friday, peeps!  Yay, the weekend is upon us!  I have a fun little Christmas card today which uses some old and new products...lots of new stuff, actually!  It began with a few little scraps I had lying on my craft desk and here's what evolved:

It all started with the Christmas tree!  Each time I use a shaped die, I cut it out first from kraft cardstock to create a template.  That way I can line up the opening in the kraft cardstock with my stamped image, pop in the die into the opening like a puzzle piece, and then run it through the Big Shot.  Usually it ends up lining up perfectly.  And then I have a little kraft piece left over!  Mostly I chuck them but I thought this one would look nice embossed in white.  It comes from a retired set called Peaceful Pines with a matching die called Perfect Pines.  I stamped and embossed the tree branches in white ink and embossing powder.  I also had lying on my desk a white wreath, diecut with the new Seasonal Swirls die.  It was just made with some scrap Basic White cardstock and I was going to chuck it as well, when I thought the two diecuts looked nice together!  I layered them on a panel of some Tidings of Christmas DSP that had been diecut with a Basic Borders die.  Before adhering it, I embossed the bottom portion of a Basic White card with one of the Wintery embossing folders; you can just barely see the snowflakes in the photo, but they are very pretty!

To finish it off, I stamped a sentiment from Christmas to Remember in Real Red and used a Tasteful Labels die to cut it out; then I diecut three Cherry Cobbler stars using the Messages die, layered and glued them together and finished it off with some Shimmery Crystal Effects:

There are really a lot of gorgeous new products in the Holiday mini and I can't wait to use them!  Thanks for popping in today!  And here are a few more birthday cards:

This beauty is from Renita:

And this cutie is from Robyn; we share an office in our church (the inside says "just a note to say, you're awesome, woohoo!")

And this sweet one is from Peggy and it has a very cool fun fold!

Thanks, ladies!

And how about a sand crab?  A REAL sand crab?

What a clever guy Wayne is!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

FMS306 and MM257 Lemon Lime Christmas

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I have a Christmas card today, using Lemon Lime Twist!!!  I used the FMS sketch and the intriguing Merry Monday challenge of using a tag with texture, bling and die cuts!

The thing that intrigued me the most about the MM challenge though, was the photo....loved that fresh green!  I gulped and got out my Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and went to work:

I heat embossed a tree image from the retired Peaceful Pines set with white ink and embossing powder, then diecut it.  I also used two embossing folders, a big Dazzling Diamonds glimmer tag and some silver accessories!  I hope it's blingy enough!  The photos don't really do it justice, it's really pretty IRL!

And the inside:

And here's my growing-up-too-fast DGD, wearing a dress to school---I have to admit, I probably wore something very similar back in the 60s!!  Love those daisies!

Have a wonderful day and be blessed!
