ColourQ 225

DSCF0382

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  We are supposed to get a significant snowfall today, so I am hoping to stay inside and stamp!  Not really…I have a ton of errands to do….but maybe they can wait!  Arielle really threw me for a loop with these colors she chose today:

I made two other cards before finally deciding on this one, which still doesn’t really float my boat, but I decided to quit while I was ahead!!!

I used the (CAS)e This Sketch sketch #60:

although I am not sure it’s really CAS…..maybe a little bit!  Anyway, I used dies from MFT and W+9 and the sentiment is from SU’s Pennant Parade:

Here is my second card…I'm not even going to post the very first one!!!

A more traditional image and sentiment….I am sure I’ll find a good use for it!  I can’t wait to see what you create with these colors….I find when the colors are challenging to me, I am anxious to see how other stampers interpret them!  Check out what we all did at the ColourQ blog!

Cassidy has started coming to our house in the morning in her jammies!  Here she is waving goodbye to mommy as she goes out the driveway!

The Shabby Tea Room 191

DSCF8900-001

Happy Monday, peeps!  I was honored for this card again at the Shabby Tea Room, and so today, I am pleased as punch to be the guest designer for this challenge:

Photo Inspiration #191

‘Shabby Fall Party’ – create a card/project inspired by the photo and include a banner, cupcake, orange and yellow.

I searched my stash and came up with some papers that complemented each other and fit the challenge, along with my Circle Card Thinlits to make this card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings The Shabby Tea Room 191

I find sometimes these flip cards do not stay closed, so I made a belly band to fit on my card, embellishing it with some orange ribbon and a Vintage Faceted Designer button.  My cupcake is paper pieced and glittered up with some Dazzling Diamonds and accented with a little banner from Pennant Parade and an orange toothpick!   Here is the card partially open:

I extended the right side panel of the card and gave it another fold so that there would be more room to write a sentiment.  It shows on the front of the card as the polka-dotted one.

And here is the inside:

I love the fun colors from the inspiration photo, and I hope you’ll play along this week as well at the Shabby Tea Room!  Be sure to check out all the designers’ awesome creations! And I'll be along later with my Merry Monday challenge as well!

The rallying cry in our household these days is “I’ll do it myself”!  Here, she moved my wreath and holder, got her stool from the bathroom and was jumping on it, trying to insert a DVD into our flat screen TV (the DVD player is part of the TV)!!!!!  Needless to say, she couldn’t jump quite that high, but she gave it a good try!

Paper Players 156

DSCF6798-001

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It’s my turn to be the hostess at the Paper Players, and I have a sketch for you:

I had this sketch made up a few weeks ago, but imagine how happy I was when I got my new Holiday Mini goodies and O Holy Night was in that box:

PP155 LeAnne Pugliese O Holy Night

It works perfectly for the sketch!  I love the “subway art” style this image uses, and for ease, I stamped the image twice, once in Coastal Cabana and again in Bermuda Bay.  I cut out sections and adhered them to the Coastal Cabana panel and then stamped the star section and mounted them all on a Bermuda Bay mat.  It’s hard to see, but the designer paper has some shimmery silver on it…sooooo pretty!  So I stamped the stars in Encore Silver ink on to my Smoky Slate card to complement the silver, and rhinestones add some nice sparkle as well!   Here’s a closeup of the panel itself:

I hope you’ll play with us this week, and you can share your creation over at the Paper Players blog, so we all can gaze at your creativity!  Can’t wait to see what you come up with!  And be sure to check out the other designers creations as well!

Just goofin’ around!

Embossed Love

DSCF2549

Just felt like stamping for fun yesterday, found a few challenges and combined them for a shabby chic card:

DSCF2547

This card began when I took a few embossed pieces of our new Core-dinations paper, cut them into squares and mounted them on a scallop which was diecut from a page from an old house plant book.  I added some hearts, a piece of lace, a text pennant, and a sweet little sentiment from Pennant Parade:

DSCF2548

The image behind the “Love” is from Collage Curios, which I just need to play with some more!!!  So many cute little images in that set!  The background was stamped with Distressed Dots, and the vertical panel is a piece of vellum embossed with the Vine Street EF from the SAB catalog.

Here are the challenges:

Stampin’ Royalty #160, polka dots; Little Red Wagon, text; and Freshly Made Sketches #70:

Thanks for visiting…if you have any questions, shoot me an email….my address is on the top right!

DSCF1467

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Just a real quick card today….that’s all I am able to make these days with so many Christmas goings-on!  I used the RetroSketches sketch #41:

and made a sweet little Christmas card:

DSCF1464

I used the mistletoe image from Easy Events, masking off the sentiment and stamping it in Basic Gray.  I then colored it with ink and a blender pen, and added a little highlight with my white gel pen.  Some Be of Good Cheer DP gave it a festive look, and a little stitched ribbon and resin flower finished it off!  Any questions?  Give me a holler!

Rock star!

Paper Players 116

DSCF8773-001

Happy Sunday everyone!  Brrrr….we certainly went from warm to wild weather in a hurry this weekend!  I know some of my blogging friends had snow this week!  Oh my!  Well, I am the hostess this week at the Paper Players, and I have a nice warm challenge for you:  Cup of Joy!

We want to see a cup of some sort on your card….and you won’t want to miss what the designers at the Paper Players came up with this week…you’ll love them!  Personally, I cannot start my day  without a cup of coffee!!!  Or two or three!   In the winter, I love chai tea in the afternoon with a splash of French vanilla creamer—yum!  How about you?  What’s your favorite cup? For my card,  I started my creation with the sketch from the PaperCraft Crew this week:

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch

and pulled out my Scentsational Season set:

PP116-LeAnne

There were a couple of very cute cards in the Paper Players gallery last week using this paper, so I whipped mine out too!  The mug is stamped in Riding Hood Red, with the “steam” heat embossed with Iridescent Ice on vellum.  It’s really hard to see but looks cool IRL!

DSCF8772

I added some punched stars from the Merry Minis punch pack, and tacked on a couple of tags fastened with a glimmer brad and some baker’s twine!  The whole shebang is atop a Labels Framelit that was embossed with the oval Designer Frame EF….I love how it fits so nicely in that framelit!  I added a pretty sentiment from More Merry Messages on the inside, along with a few more stars!

Now, remember to go check out what the team has created, and share your creation with us too!

Squeaking in a RetroSketches card for this week…..you know when you have an idea in your head, but it doesn’t quite translate to the card!  Oh well!  I had fun making it anyway.  Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my birthday card:

DSCF6095

Decorate a Daisy in Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple, along with some leaves of Lucky Limeade.  Sentiment is from Pennant Parade.  (I think the rhinestones were a mistake….. they just don’t “jive” with the feel of the daisy, as well as the fact that they don’t quite match.)

Well, have a great day!  My budding crafter:
