SSC230 I Miss Your Face

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope you all had a good weekend.  I have a quick card to share today for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge:

I have seen lots of cute cards featuring the piggy stamp from SU wearing a mask, and after seeing Anne Marie's cute card from yesterday's Paper Players, I thought I could do the same thing for the cow from Over the Moon!  So here we go:

My mask is just from a little piece of paper towel, folded and adhered with glue dots.  I did thread some white floss behiind her ears to make it a bit more realistic!  And of course, a sentiment from the Share Sunshine PDF was a perfect addition!  I have been pushing these papers around on my desk for a few days, so I thought they would make a cheerful background

This is being popped into the mail today; can you guess whose little face I miss so much?  And here she is, our little tomboy, playing with some of her daddy's trucks over the weekend:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Hostess Party Projects

I had my Hostess Appreciation party yesterday, and of course, I was so intent on socializing, feeding my friends and stamping, that I got NO pictures!  I am just so bad at that!  But I did photograph our projects!  I wanted to highlight some SAB things, so everyone got to make a Kerchief Card from the Paper Pumpkin-style kit:

And in December my friend Sally sent me this lovely Christmas card, with this cute little "corner tuck" feature, and I loved it so much, I wanted to make one of my own:

So we made a card using the gorgeous florals from Best Dressed; this one happens to be on a  Blackberry Bliss card base, but some of the girls also did a Pear Pizzaz one with a different floral:

I chose to put another diecut right on top of the triangle piece, stamped with a sentiment from Beautiful Day and embellished with a sequin:

We used a new set, So Sentimental, for the inside panel!  Everyone really like this style of fold!

Finally, we did a Valentine candy treat using the Printed Cello bags from the mini catalog and the Over the Moon set:

A heart was diecut from Rose Glimmer Paper and a little topper from Rococo Rose; the stamped panel was diecut with a die from Stitched So Sweetly, then colored with Blends.  To make the moon, they stamped the image on the back of a piece of Sparkle Glimmer paper, then hand-cut it out:

We also had cheeseburger soup, along with salad, snacks and desserts!  Delish!  Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy, Dana and Wayne enjoyed the 76ers game.....although Cass fell asleep before they even got there:

It's good to get a nap before a big game!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

GDP220 Party Cow

Happy Monday, peeps!  My birthday card stash is about non-existent, and I need to replenish it, so when I saw the GDP challenge, I went right to work!

I CASEd Shawn's sketch, using Over the Moon and Bird Ballad papers for my card today:

After stamping and coloring my little cow with some Blends, I stamped the hat from Crab and Company (remember that set?) and popped it up on her head!!  I added some Tufted embossing on the background:

A little pop of Basic Black scallop to give some contrast (Be Mine dies), and I recycled some silver cord from a gift package to match the rhinestone on her party hat!!

And finally a sentiment from Rustic Retreat along with a couple more hats, stamped in Calypso Coral:

And this one is already out in the mail for its recipient!  Thanks for popping in!

So, my sister Gail, who lives in SC, turns 60 next week and she and her husband were in the area over the weekend for the Army Navy game on Saturday (her son attends West Point).  I thought it would be fun to have the whole family over for a "sort-of" surprise party for her!  She arrived first, but when she saw the table set, she was surprised!  Everyone pitched in with the food and we chowed down:

She and my other sister caught up on some photos from the game:

Of course, we had to have cake; my niece Kelly contributed a beautiful Boston Creme pie/birthday cake (that's my brother next to her), which is one of Gail's favorites:

AND, Kelly also created these stunning cupcakes:

She is so talented!  It was a great evening, and I'll share more photos later!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP452 Cow's It Going?

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It's time for another fun Paper Players challenge, and Anne Marie has a moo-velous sketch for us today---sorry, I couldn't resist!  So here's the sketch:

And here's my super-easy (because I can't seem to come up with anything but simple these days) card using Over the Moon:

My card features Rococo Rose and Basic Black; the card base was embossed with the Subtle embossing folder, then layered with two patterns.  I stamped my little bossy in Memento Black and used Blends to color her in, and added some sweet little felt embellishments from the Follow Your Art embellishment kit:

After adding the sentiment, I was done....easy peasy!!  I just love this sketch, I am saving it for future reference, because it's a GREAT one!  Hope you'll play with us at the Paper Players this week!!  Check out what the DT did---you can see them all HERE.

A day at the beach is HARD work:

Thanks for popping in---enjoy your day and be blessed!

Over the Moon Birthdays

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I had a little free stamping time yesterday after Day One of our yardsale, so I made a couple of cards using the CAS on Sunday color palette as well as the Time Out challenge:

I rarely make funny cards, and I don't know why....but the Over the Moon set with its cute little cows (and the fact that I grew up on a farm!) appealed to me, so this is my first card using it:

I went very CAS on this one, using one layer only of thick white cardstock so my Blends wouldn't bleed through so much.  I stamped little bossy in Memento black and using the challenge colors to color her in.  I also stamped the flower on some gingham DSP, and added a Blend-colored rhinestone to the center:

I made another card with the same colors because I LOVED them together, and this one was a little more stepped up, using some DSPs in Pool Party and So Saffron, and stamping the cow and another birthday sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet on a piece of regular white cardstock, then diecutting it out with a Stitched Rectangle die.

The die didn't quite reach around the flower, so I stamped it again on a scrap and colored it with a marker and added some Wink of Stella to the center, as well as to her boots:

I didn't add quite as much shading and detail with the Blends, but I did add some sequins and a ribbon, so it qualifies for the Just Add Ink challenge:

Thanks for popping in for a visit today!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge!

Here are some of the flowers on my patio this summer:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
