Uber-CAS Snowflake Christmas

Happy Monday, peeps! This is probably one of the clean-and-simplest cards I have ever made, LOL! The challenge at CAS On Sunday is to use a corner of your card, and the Hand Stamped Sentiments has a pretty mood board:

All three of the pictures are pretty, but I just happened to have a snowflake stamp already out on my desk, so I went with that:

I used thick Basic White cardstock and embossed the snowflake in white embossing powder, then blended Pretty in Pink ink on top.  A simple sentiment and a few more snowflakes were stamped in Memento's London Fog ink and I added a pearl in the center:

An older Paper Pumpkin sentiment was stamped on the inside; not sure if it was the ink or my poor old stamp, but this was the best impression I could get!

Another Christmas card added to my stash!

This weekend we attended a "sprinkle" (instead of a shower) for my niece Paige, who is expecting her third child in January and it's a girl! After two boys, we're so excited!  She will have three under the age of three though....that's why God gives us children when we're YOUNG!  My other niece, her sister Kelly, did all the food and decorating.  She is our family's Martha Stewart for sure.  Check out these lemon cupcakes (and they were DELICIOUS):

The whole table was lined with arrangements like this:

Cassidy was in her glory, because Maven was there too!

Here we are with the happy momma-to-be!

Thanks for indulging me with pix of the family!  And thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Tis the Season

Happy Wednesday, peeps! It is a crazy week for me and I feel like I haven't had much time to stamp!  So I thought I'd post one of the cards we made at our stamp camp on Monday night; this little guy is so cute, I had to  share him:

This set is from Unity and it's called Tinsel Antics!  He was stamped in Versafine black ink, then watercolored with Pecan Pie ink and Real Red and Garden Green markers.  We added some sequins for sparkle:

and some swirly stamping around the outside of the card.  The Iconic Imagery dies were used for both sentiments, outside and in:

And speaking of a cutie, check out my 8-month-old great niece Maven; you may be able to tell that she is Jameson and Sawyer's little sister, maybe by the ginger hair?? The face?  The grin?

I could just eat her up!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Shake, Shake, Shake Your Shaker Card

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  At our clubs this month, one of our projects was to create an easy shaker card using a cello sheet to create a pocket for the shaker elements.  For our card, we used a SU clear envelope, but you certainly recycle any of the clear acetate pockets that most of our craft supplies are packaged in!  This is what we made using the Merry Snowflakes bundle and lots of sequins and glitter:

We stamped the snowflakes randomly on a piece of Basic White, then cut apart a clear envelope and adhered the edges to the back of the stamped piece with Sticky Strip on three sides to create a pocket.  After filling the pocket up with sequins and glitter, we adhered the open edge with a final strip of Sticky Strip. Just look at all those fun sequins!  We added a sentiment from Christmas to Remember as well as a diecut snowflake from the Stitched Snowflakes dies.

Here's another one I made as a sample; the pocket is a little smaller and I used a piece of Painted Christmas DSP as the background, filling it with gold, silver, maroon, green and white sequins.  The Evening Evergreen card base was embossed with the Wintry embossing folder and sponged with matching ink, and the gold-embossed sentiment from For Unto Us was diecut with a Tasteful Labels die:

Of course, it's difficult to see all the sequins when it's propped up!  But I love this color combination of Evening Evergreen and Merry Merlot....so elegant!  Thanks so much for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Warm Knit Hat

Happy Monday, peeps!  I am running very late today!  I have a quick card to share with you, no challenges, just trying to make a few samples for my stamp clubs today!  I was on the fence about the background stamp Knit Together, but I did end up getting it and honestly, it makes me smile every time I use it!  Here's a fun way to use it:

My first step was to stamp a panel of Balmy Blue cardstock with Balmy Blue ink.  I diecut a partial oval from the Layering Oval dies and a partial panel from the Scalloped Contour dies from the panel, sponged around the edges and adhered them together in the shape of a hat.  I stamped a diecut a snowflake from Merry Snowflakes for the pompom, then layered it on a Basic White panel that was embossed three times with the snowflake border die from  Stitched Snowflake dies.

A sentiment from the same set was stamped in Fresh Freesia and diecut with the Stitched Rectangle die. Everything went on a Fresh Freesia card base.

I added a Blue Adhesive-Backed gem in the center of the pompom for fun!  So happy you popped in today!

I don't have any pictures to share today, but now that Wayne is home safe and sound, I can tell you why he was stuck in Bermuda!  He went there on a business trip and got Covid!  So he had to stay quarantined for ten days while the rest of his coworkers got to come home!  Blessedly, he had very few symptoms and was able to work the whole time he was there.  But we are VERY glad he is home and he had lots of people praying for him!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP558 Crazy Snowflakes for Ann's Color Challenge

Hi peeps, happy Sunday!  Time for a new Paper Players challenge, with Ann as our fabulous hostess, and she has a fabulous color palette for us:

These are gorgeous colors together, but.....you may know me and PURPLE.  Blackberry and Razzleberry are two very-unused colors in my craft stash!  But that's why this is a challenge, right?  I needed a couple little gift bags, and I spied the Ombre Gift Bags I had just received, and thought I would decorate the the Polished Pink one.  I also wanted to use some new products from the mini, and for some reason, my mind went to snowflakes!!  Crazy, right?  But here we go:

I used the Merry Snowflakes bundle and Christmas to Remember; I used Rich Razzleberry to stamp a sentiment on the bag and Polished Pink to stamp the swirls:

I cut four different snowflakes from each of the challenge colors plus our new Pearlescent paper, then
scattered them on the front of the gift bag, and embellished each one with a rhinestone:

I added a little brad and tag to hold the top together, then just tied on some Polished Pink ribbon for fun:

All filled up and ready to gift!

Here are both of them using the same snowflakes, just in different colors! I've never seen snowflakes these colors, but I took artistic license!!!  Anyway, I hope you'll find some inspiration from our lovely color challenge this week!  Come play along at the Players and be sure to check out what the DT created as well!  Thanks for popping in!

The first Eagles game is today, so the family went to do some Eagles "shopping" and came upon their mascot Swoop and a few cheerleaders:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IB186 Ombre Christmas

Hey there everyone!  Time for a new Inspired By challenge, and again, we have two photo prompts for you; one for "everyday" and one for Christmas, along with a fun sketch!  Here they are:

And here we go!  You can see that I was inspired by that gorgeous tree skirt and pretty white Christmas tree, and I sort-of used the sketch:

I created four scalloped panels in Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and the retired Soft Sky and embossed each one with one of the Wintery embossing folders:

The tree was diecut from Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper with the retired In the Woods die, the star is from the Stockings die:

I used sentiments from Christmas to Remember on the outside as well as the inside, adding a few snowflakes from Merry Snowflakes:

This really got me in the Christmas spirit!  I hope you'll find something to inspire you as well!  Please share it with us at Inspired By and check out the lovely samples the DT created as well!  Thanks for visiting today!
