FMS341 and MM294 Christmas Barn

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I've been falling behind on my Christmas cards, and I thought the Merry Monday challenge was a nice one, but I realized I only have ONE barn stamp...I have cabins, but no barns!  I paired it with the Freshly Made Sketches sketch as well:

So here we go!  My card is notecard-sized because my stamped elements are rather small; I think if I did this again, I might change the colors, but for now, it is what it is!

I embossed my notecard front with the Softly Falling embossing folder, and then added my stamped elements:  the barn from Papertrey's On the Farm in Night of Navy, along with some trees from Hearts Come Home in Shaded Spruce; and the "snow", also from Papertrey, stamped in Balmy Blue.  I added a few little stamped"snowflakes" and a sentiment from the new Itty Bitty Greetings.  The final touch was a little diecut snowflake, embellished with a rhinestone, also in Balmy Blue:

Another one to add to the stash!

Yesterday was the last day of school and a couple photos were in order!  Cassidy and our neighbor Lee posed together:

And we couldn't leave out Lee's sister Jackie!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!!

FF137 and MM290 I Heard the Bells

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I have a Christmas card for you today, using the Fab Friday sketch and the Merry Monday prompt of "bells":

This is one of those cards that seemed more attractive in my head; once I started to make it, it didn't quite match up to the image in my brain, LOL!  But I'd already started, so I pushed through:

My upper panel used a piece of sheet music I printed from an Olde Design Shop digital image; I  "aged" it a little, trimmimg it to fit my Crumb Cake mat.  I added diecuts of a gold bell (Lil'Inkers) and some greenery (Tim Holtz), and adhered them to the music:

The main portion of the card was stamped with a little cabin image from Altenew and the tree from Kaiser's Frosted Christmas Tree set...don't they go together nicely?

After sponging the edges, I mounted it on a piece of the new Merry Merlot....a nice maroon color....and finally, added a few of the little stars from the bell diecut around the greenery and a Cherry Cobbler baker's twine bow!  Another card for the stash!  Thanks for popping in today!

Miss Cookie Face:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!  Come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players' challenge too!

MM288 No Stamping Trio

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  And happy May Day!  Yikes, where did April go?  The Merry Monday challenge this week is to make a Christmas card with NO stamping!

Just one?  I have enough Christmas paper to make hundreds!!  Well, how about three? I have a 12x12 pad of Simple Stories' Handmade Holiday paper and it has tons of fun little country images just itching to be made into cards!  I still love country stuff, how about you?

The size of these cards is 3 1/2" x 4 1/2"...they will still fit into a notecard-sized envelope.  I trimmed each panel from its page and added some embellishments; on this one, I added a diecut sentiment from Concord and 9th, and a little star I punched from SU's Corrugated Elements:

This one features a few diecut buttons; the "joy" is printed right on the paper...sweet!

And on this one, I added a "ho ho ho" diecut from Peachy and Cheap, cut from some SU Color Theory DSP:

All the designs were just printed paper...so easy and quick!  What a great challenge!  Thanks for popping by to see my creations!

On Sunday, Dana, Cassidy and Wayne were visited by Dana's half-brother Kevin and his bride Kristy!  We usually only see them at Christmas; I didn't get to see them, but I was glad Dana's family did!  By the looks of it, I think they must have ridden up from Maryland on their motorcycle!!  And as you can tell, it was still cloudy and chilly...MAYBE today we'll have a warmup!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Hark The Herald Angels Sing

Hi peeps!  A little late today---I have a Christmas card for you using the Merry Monday challenge of a favorite Christmas verse as well as the CAS Christmas Card challenge, to use an ornament:

I pulled out an old Waltzingmouse stamp set, I am not even sure what it's called--maybe Stitched Christmas?--and stamped it on some patterned paper in Early Espresso, fussy-cut it out, then added a nativity die and a sentiment from Papertrey:

I popped up the nativity scene against the palm trees, then "hung" it on some Christmas Pines pine branches with some Tranquil Tide ribbon:

and stamped the pine branches again in the lower corner behind the sentiment:

I hope this is CAS enough!  I sure love these challenge themes!  Thanks for popping in today!

I forgot to post this before-the-bus "impromptu" stamping session...Cassidy made her teacher an Easter card:

and yes, there was snow on the ground...thankfully, it's all gone, but it's still way too cold for April!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Wee Little Snowman

Happy Monday, peeps!  Late today, and I only have a very quick CAS Christmas note card for you that fulfills three challenges:  the FMS sketch, the Merry Monday red and white challenge, and the Cards in Envy negative challenge!

For my "negative", I chose to punch out a little snowman from a very old retired SU punch, and I backed him with a scrap of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper, then diecut him with the Stitched Shapes circle framelit:

I added a scrap of polka dot paper from the retired Polka Dot Parade DSP, a little sentiment from Merry Crittermas, and on the inside, a Paper Pumpkin sentiment from November of 2017.  Oh, and I did do a bit of embossing on the front too!  Easy peasy!  Enjoy your day!

Catching Up on Christmas

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I had time to make two simple Christmas cards..both use CTMH's Be Jolly set as well as some Oh What Fun! papers from My Minds Eye!  The first one is for Merry Monday's challenge of pastel colors:

The image was stamped with Pool Party ink, and I added a Soft Sky panel and Soft Sky seam binding ribbon; I punched out a few glimmer snowflakes (one of which is waving to us, uh-oh!) and adhered them to the pink snowflake paper:

I colored in the image with a Blushing Bride marker:

and added a simple sentiment on the inside:

My next card is for the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge and the Jingle Belles:  Text Me challenge:

This "ho ho ho" paper was just begging to be used for the "text" challenge; I added a mat of Tranquil Tide and stamped the sentiment in the same color:

A little shading with a blender pen and Riding Hood Red ink:

and the inside sentiment from My Favorite Thing's Seasonal Sentiments:

Thanks for visiting today...be sure to come back tomorrow for our next Paper Players challenge, too!

Who's walking who?

FMS318 and MM270 Vintage Santa

Happy Friday, everyone!  I know most people are done making Christmas cards, but I am still in the swing of it....saving them for next year, LOL!  My friend Peggy showed me some cards she made using this Rubber Stampede vintage Santa, and she graciously allowed me to borrow him!  I had some already stamped and when I saw the Freshly Made Sketches sketch for this week, I thought one would work perfectly!  He fits the Merry Monday Tic-Tac-Toe challenge as well!

For the Tic-Tac-Toe, I chose the left column of stamping, diecut and red!  So here we go:

I used some Graphic 45 St Nicholas papers for my background and mat, which was diecut with a Lil Inker Stitched Rectangle die.  I also diecut some berries from Naturals Cream cardstock, then added some Antique Silver glitter from Martha Stewart.  The burlap ribbon came from a gift and was a perfect rustic match!  I also added some glitter around the edge of my Santa image, although it is a challenge to see it!

I love the details in this image!  Thanks for popping in!

Over the weekend, Dana's half-brother and his new wife stopped by for lunch on their way from Key West to New Jersey!  They surprised Cassidy with a ukelele!  She wanted to play guitar and they thought this would be a good way to get her started!  Unfortunately, I didn't get one single picture of them together!!!

We'll see how it goes...maybe she and Eden can have a duet, LOL!
