Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas

Happy Wednesday, peeps! Halfway through the week! I have a fun little Christmas card for you today; it uses the CAS Colours & Sketches sketch as well as the Color Hues palette of red and green:

And here we go:

I used images and the sentiment from the retired Little Treats, stamped in Real Red and Emerald Envy, then diecut and mounted on a scalloped frame.  The pine branch is from W+9.  I added an embossed layer of polka dots just for fun!

The inside was stamped with a sentiment from Wrapped in Christmas and another little ornament from the Little Treats set:

What a fun little sketch!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on hus throne at the right side of God.  Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth.  Colossians 3:1-2

Happy Thursday! I have a fun little Christmas card for you today; it uses the FMS sketch as well as the theme of "gift" from Christmas Kickstart:

Here we go:

I diecut some papers from Echo Park's Christmas Salutations, embossing a sentiment on a banner also cut from the papers.  Everything went on a Tim Holtz-embossed panel of Basic White on a Mossy Meadow card.  The little gift is from the retired Little Treats, as are the inside sentiments and images:

TTTC90 Gnome Tissue Holder

Hello again, stampers!  It's time for a new Tic Tac Toe challenge with Team X as on deck!  This board just happened to coincide with one of the projects that my stamp clubs made earlier in the week, so I thought I'd share it.  Here's the board; I chose Blue, Holiday and Sparkle/Shine, but I also have Plaid in there too!

And here we go:

This is an easy little tissue holder to keep in your purse or desk; it can be decorated for any season, but of course with this little gnome, he's for Christmas!!!  I will give the measurements below, it's as easy as pie!  The box itself is Seaside Spray and the gnome is from Gnome for the Holidays.  He's stamped in Memento ink and colored with Blends:

You can't see it here, but his beard and hat have been glittered up with some Wink of Stella!!  The sentiment on the front is from Itty Bitty Greetings, diecut with a little die from Smooth Sailing.  And if the girls wanted to give their little tissue holders away, they could add this to the back from Little Treats:

Such a cute little project!  Here are the measurements and quick directions:

  1. Cut cardstock to 6 ¾” x 5 ¼”
  2. Score on the longest side at 1”, 3 1/8”, 4 1/8” and 6 ¼”.
  3. Score on the shortest side at 1”.
  4. Fold and burnish all score lines.
  5. Cut out the smallest rectangle at the bottom corner.
  6. Cut v-shaped slits along the bottom, straddling the score lines, up to the horizontal score line.
  7. Decorate your box whatever way you want.  (Easier to do before adhering and assembling the box!)
  8. Apply Tear 'n Tape to the narrowest side piece and adhere box together.
  9. Fold in bottom pieces and adhere, making sure box is straight and even.
  10. Punch out a half-circle with circle punch at the front and slide in your tissues.
I hope you'll play along with our Tic Tac Toe board this week....LOTS of fun possibilities!  Share your creation with us at the TTT blog and check out the other amazing samples by the DT while you're there!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP513 Hey There Cupcake

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Time for a new Paper Players challenge!  Laurie is our hostess with this delicious CLEAN AND SIMPLE challenge:

I pulled out an old hostess set called The More The Merrier and stamped three of the cupcakes on some Shimmery White cardstock, cut them out with a Stitched So Sweetly die and lightly colored them with Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue Blends:

I added some chunky glitter to the frosting, then mounted them on a piece of Mint Macaron DSP and added a Papertrey sentiment from Cupcake Collection, stamped in Just Jade.  Simple and easy but so cute!

This will be a perfect birthday card for a child (or a child at heart)!  And since I can never seem to just make one card, I made another card with the same cupcakes, just a little more stepped up:

Bright, isn't it!?  Yikes!  I stamped these cupcakes with Stazon ink and colored them with various inks and an aquapainter.  The sentiment is from Little Treats and the border was diecut with a die from Spellbinders!

What will you create with cupcakes, cookies or cake for our CAS challenge?  Check out what the Design Team did at the Paper Players blog, and share yours with us too! Thanks for popping by....enjoy your day and be blessed!

IB142 Playful Patterns

Hi there, stampers!  Thursday brings a new Inspired By challenge...woohoo, I loved this one...those peachy hues are right up my alley!  Although these colors don't match my living room, I would still love to have pillows like these:

And here's our optional sketch!

I searched through my vast supply of retired DSPs because I knew that I probably had some Grapefruit Grove or Crisp Cantaloupe in there somewhere!  When I found a few that I liked, I pulled out a really old Papertrey hexagon die and went to work:

The process of cutting, poking and replacing all those wee little pieces was a bit time-consuming, but it was fun and relaxing, watching the colors fill in the grad!  The die comes with a couple of templates that you can use, depending on how many different colors or patterns you are incorporating.  I only chose four:

To make adhering the pieces easier, I cut a piece of Adhesive Sheet and applied it to the front of my card, then laid down the outer grid, then the pieces to fill in.  I heat embossed a birthday sentiment on to some Basic Black cardstock, and added a couple of circular elements and another Papertrey die, this time a butterfly that I embossed with the Ornate Floral EF:

I have several birthdays coming up this month, so it's nice to have some cards on hand!  I hope you'll check out what our designers did at the IB blog, and I hope you'll play along with us!  Thanks for popping in!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

GDP254 Ho Ho Ho

Happy Friday, peeps!  The Global Design Project has a nice basic sketch challenge this week, and I was itching to use some new Tis the Season DSP from the holiday mini!  I paired it with some images from Little Treats; here we go:

And here's the sketch:

After choosing my DSPs, I diecut the layers with a Stitched Rectangle and Stitched So Sweetly dies, then stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce and the hats in Real Red, using the matching dies to cut them out:

You can't see it here, but the hats are embellished with some Wink of Stella for fun!  I love the traditional colors in this paper pack, I know I'll be using them a lot!  Thanks for popping in today!

It was just like the drive-in at Dana's house a few nights ago; Wayne set up a screen by the pool and the family snuggled into some pool floaties to watch:

That wouldn't have been MY choice of movie, but she liked it! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP503 Hello Beautiful

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Hope your weekend is going well so far!  Joanne is our fabulous hostess this week at the Paper Players, and she is really challenging us!  Check out this amazing color palette:

When I want to create a card with multiple colors like this, I usually choose small images in the same shape or size; but I went a wee bit different this time!  I used the butterflies from Butterfly Gala, stamping them in Night of Navy and using the other challenge colors to fill them in.  Here we go:

I began with the FMS sketch for this week:

I had a strip of  Pool Party DSP lying on my desk and I found a cool embossed cover plate panel that my sweet friend Michele gave me, so I combined the two, layering the cover plate over the polka dots with some dimensionals.  I stamped several butterflies and punched them out with the matching punch and adhered them along the opening:
The sentiment is from the same set, stamped on a Stitched Shape square, and I added a couple more butterflies and embellished it with some Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems:
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Little Treats and added a few more butterflies that I had left over!
This is such a fun, cheerful color combination! I hope you'll be able to find something to stamp with these colors!  Check out what all the other designers did at the Paper Players, then share yours with us too!  Thanks so much for popping in today!

Last weekend at my niece's surprise birthday party, Sawyer wanted to see her goats!  He said they tickled his hand!!!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Bright and Happy Birthday

Hi there, stampers!  Phew, what a day we had yesterday!  There was flooding everywhere!  We got lots of wind and tons of rain....blessedly, no damage but we spent the evening picking up lots of branches!  I snuck into my stamp room last night and made a quick, simple little birthday card using the TSOT sketch and the HSS colors:

I pulled out the new Little Treats set and some Coastal Cabana DSP, cutting it to fit the sketch.   So here we go:

I stamped the gift from set three times, once in each color, and fussy-cut them before I remembered that I actually have a DIE to cut them out, LOL!   I'll remember next time!

I mounted them on a stitched circle, and added a Magenta Madness border, diecut with an Ornate Borders die.  The sentiment on the front is from Many Mates, the inside sentiment is from Little Treats as well:

Thanks for stopping by today!  And here are the last of my birthday cards; this one is from Renita:

From Billie:

From Debbie:

From Elaine:

And from my Inspired By teammate, Michele:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Christmas Wishes

Happy Friday, everyone!  Hope you have something fun planned this weekend....other than mowing the yard, that's what I have planned!  I made a fun little Christmas card for you today, as there seem to be many Christmas in July challenges around!  First, let's get to my card:

I am in LOVE with this sketch; it's from Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of my sweet friend Jen, who is one stamper I really admire!

It also uses the colors from Fab Friday and the Christmas in July challenge from The Spot:

I started my card by diecutting a bunch of the little leafy diecuts from Forever Flourishing dies and adhering them to my card front, using a circle die as a guide.  Usually I draw a circle, but I just laid the die itself on my cardstock and adhered around it.  Worked great!  I used some little glue dots from a Paper Pumpkin set and curled them up around a piercing tool to adhere the diecuts without a gluey mess:

I stamped the ornament lineup from the new Little Treats set, once in each challenge color, and fussy-cut a few of them out to line up beneath the sentiment, which is from Banner Year.  The die is used is from Tasteful Labels, and I had to extend it a bit to fit the sentiment.  On the inside, after a disastrous attempt at stamping directly on to the inside (let's just say this stamp got a LOT of trimming after my initial attempt), I stamped this sentiment from Wrapped in Christmas on some white cardstock, added the little doodads at the top and bottom, and diecut it with a Stitched Rectangle die:

Everything got adhered to a pretty Bermuda Bay card!  I did also add some white epoxy dots to my wreath just to dress it up a bit!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

A little more painting of Cassidy's spooky house; we got a new bottle of green paint and she was happy with that color!  We need to add some embellishments...I'll keep you posted!
