Happy Friday, everyone! Yippee, the weekend is upon us! I am looking forward to stamping with my club girls tonight! So this will be quick! My card today combines the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:
with the Kraft Journal’s challenge for “blessings”! So here we go:
I pulled out a couple of old favorites for this card; the image is from a retired SU set called Harvest Home, stamped in Cajun Craze; the background is a leafy backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms, stamped in Craft White on Crumb Cake. I added a diecut “blessed” from PTI in Early Espresso and a stitched leaf from Lawn Fawn in Very Vanilla:
I used the sentiment from the same stamp set, along with a Thanksgiving sentiment from last year’s Paper Pumpkin, along with another stitched leaf:
A last chance for eating a Halloween cookie outside….these past few days have been warm and breezy, but I think our lucky streak is going to break!
Thanks for popping in!

Kraft Journal 246
Happy Wednesday, everyone! I hadn’t played too much with my Curvy Keepsake die lately, and when I saw this adorable creation by Rachel Tessman, I knew I had to make one of my own! The Kraft Journal has a scarecrow challenge this week and since I don’t have any scarecrow stamps, I thought this would be perfect!
Mine’s a wee bit different from Rachel’s; I used Crumb Cake for my box, stamping the line image from Gorgeous Grunge in Sahara Sand (stamped off) in both directions on each portion of it, shading the edges as well. I used a few punches for the eyes, cut out the nose freehand, and drew on the mouth and added a wee bit of “rouge” with Watermelon Wonder and a sponge dauber!
His “hair” was created by using a crimper on Hello Honey, Crumb Cake and So Saffron scraps, then cutting them into strips, gathering them together and tying them with some linen thread and adhering them to the top of the box with Sticky Strip. I diecut a black crow from an old Sizzlet (Birds & Blooms, I believe) and created a tag with the acorn from September’s Paper Pumpkin kit; I used a Cajun Craze marker to ink up a portion of a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes:
Hmmmm…..I might just fill him up with some candy and give him away as a door prize tonight at my Halloween treat class! What do you think?
Cassidy wanted to make some Halloween cards for her friends on the bus…I’ll just show you one today! She was fascinated by this black spiderweb paper, but I told her she could only stamp with white on it, so we picked out a little ghost stamp and I helped her stamp them all around the edge. She then insisted on giving them smiles:
All of them….I guess she doesn’t realize ghosts are supposed to be spooky! Lots of little Caspers here!
Don’t they make YOU want to smile? Enjoy your day!

KJ245 & LRW311
Happy Thursday, peeps! This card was sort of thrown together…it started out one way, then ended up totally different than I imagined. So anyway, now it’s a Thanksgiving card and it qualifies for the Kraft Journal’s challenge this week:
as well as Little Red Wagon’s tag challenge! So here we go:
I chose baker’s twine, stamped, and diecuts for my trio! The image is from My Creative Time called Just For You…a sweet bunch of seasonal sentiments perfect for a tag! The little acorn border is from Impression Obsession; the leaves are from SU’s Among the Branches; and the diecut leaves are from Lawn Fawn. I punched the tag with SU’s Scalloped Tag Topper and added some Cherry Cobbler thick baker’s twine:
The background is Unity’s Gurnsey Gingham, stamped in Versamark and touched up a bit with some chalk. I added a few sequins for a little sparkle! Thanks for checking it out!
A little raspberry delight!
Enjoy your day!

KJ244 Spooky Witch
Happy Friday, peeps! Thank GOODNESS the weekend is upon us! I snagged this cool digital image from the Graphics Fairy, and I just had to put it to use on a Halloween card for the Kraft Journal’s Halloween or Harvest Festival challenge:
It’s hard to tell, but I used Crumb Cake as a base for my card, and added some grungy polka-dot paper for a mat. The image was printed on Crumb Cake as well, then sponged with black ink and the moon was colored with Copics. I finally cut into my hoarded Tim Holtz holiday papers, choosing a little “Halloween Greetings” image:
The panel with the verse was more of an orange-pink color, so I colored it with a yellow Copic too…..it helped bring the color closer to my moon! Finally, I added a shabby seam binding bow and some black glimmer paper stars:
And for the inside, an oldie but goodie sentiment and a few well-placed bats!
Thanks for flying by today!
The little mama, soothing AJ!

I pulled out an older SU stamp called Harvest Home and did some watercoloring:

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I strayed from my SU goodies to make a seasonal card today, using the sketch from Match The Sketch:
and the Kraft Journal’s challenge of Anything Goes-Pumpkin, and the City Crafter Challenge of “Fall”!! I jump at any chance to use this little W+9 Pumpkin, so I put it to use with some Simple Stories Harvest Lane DSP, a Darice embossing folder and a Lil Inker’s Stitched Circles die:
I did use a strip of SU DSP from Farmer’s Market, along with some Linen Thread; card base is Delightful Dijon, circle is Crumb Cake, and I’ve used mats of Tip Top Taupe, Old Olive and Tangelo Twist. Ink colors are Tangelo Twist, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler. My sentiment is from Mixed Holiday Sentiments by My Creative Time! I plan to put a birthday sentiment on the inside for a special fall b-day!
And speaking of pumpkins, we picked our first one yesterday….we only have 8 more, and they’re small, but we’re thrilled to have some that actually grew!
Enjoy your day!

KJ241 Sympathy
Just a quick card today; unfortunately, I need a couple of sympathy cards this week, so I used the Kraft Journal’s Take Your Pick challenge for one of them:
I chose patterned paper (some really old Basic Grey stuff in my stash); leaves and die cuts (my favorite Lawn Fawn stitched leaves) for my card:
The base is Crumb Cake, and I used last month’s Paper Pumpkin stamp set for the sentiment. I had a few extra leaves cut out, so I added them, plus sentiments from Petite Pairs, on the inside:
Thanks for visiting today!
Waiting for the bus with another “baby”:
