Hostess Party Projects

Hi peeps!  Happy Thursday to all!  This past weekend I had my Hostess Appreciation party!  We ate some lunch, played a game and did some stamping with products from the Occasions catalog:

This was my favorite project, a little tissue holder created by my sweet friend Vicki!  You can see her project here!  It is amazingly easy and so cute!  I used Blushing Bride cardstock and Birthday Bouquet DSP with Greatest Greetings and What I love Stamp sets in Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Watermelon Wonder inks:

This little 4 1/4" square card uses the same DSP, Mint Macaron cardstock and a little honeycomb embellishment with some baker's twine:

and Honeycomb Happiness for this inside:

The third project was a wee little coffee cup (from a restaurant supply store), covered with some papers from the Love Blossom 6x6 stack.  It featured a little banner diecut of Rose Red cardstock and  an"xoxo" from Blushing Bride glimmer paper (both from the Circle Card thinlits):

The top of the lid has a sweet sentiment from Suite Sayings (what a great set!) and a glimmer paper heart:

And we filled it up with some Valentine candy!  We also did a paper heart from January's Paper Pumpkin kit!

Here are Alison, Joan, Kathy and Robyn, hard at work!!!

As well as Linda, Debbie, Lesley and Sandy!

Have a great day!

Honeycomb Happiness New Baby Cards

Happy Friday peeps!  If you're in the northeastern portion of the States, you're probably waiting for the big snow/sleet/ice event that is barreling across the country!  I am ready to hunker down and watch some Netflix, do some knitting, cross-stitching and stamping!   But first, I have a couple of baby cards to show you, just in time for The Male Room challenge of babies and little boys:

One of the main reasons I got Suite Sayings was because of this adorable sentiment, and I thought it would be really cute with this little chick peeking out from somewhere!  This little dude was already stamped, sponged (Mint Macaron) and cut out, unused from another project, so I went searching for some suitable little boy paper and found these in the Sweet Lil' Things DSP line:

It's pretty straightforward....just some sponging and coloring with a marker; a couple of diecut circles and a few non-SU sequins.  This just happens to be for a customer who just became a grandmother for the first time!

While I had the sets on my desk, I made another for my stash, using the same papers but in a different color palette....this time I added a few Pool Party stars with the sequins, and sponged my Soft Suede-stamped chickie in Crushed Curry and Hello Honey:

And on the inside, a couple of sentiments from Greatest Greetings and Perfect Pairings, also in Soft Suede!

Thanks for stopping by today!

A little reading time with Grampy:

MTS107 Birthday

Hi peeps!  Happy Monday....after a wee bit of snow yesterday, we have bright sunshine and COLD temps!  Brrrr!  I did a wee bit of stamping this morning, playing with new SU goodies and the Match The Sketch sketch:

I used Perfect Pairings along with the balloon from Honeycomb Happiness and some Birthday Bouquet DSP paired with Blushing Bride glimmer paper:

I stamped the balloon on Mint Macaron Designer Series paper and cut it out, then stamped my sentiment in Basic Gray right on the DSP.  I know the darker dots on the paper are Mossy Meadow, but I felt a neutral would look better!

I did a little bit of dry embossing, added a Basic Gray scallop diecut and it was done!  Easy peasy!

On Saturday, Cassidy and Dominic went to the library where they listened to Miss Laura (Cassidy's favorite librarian), read some stories, then had lunch and made winter crafts!

THEN, Mommy treated Cassidy to a real haircut in a real salon!

And the final result:

Of course, we can't guarantee it will look like this EVERY day, but it is much neater and easier to comb...in fact, Cassidy can brush it herself!  No more screaming and crying every morning, LOL!  Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for popping by!

TSOT252

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  It's time for another Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch!  Check out this fun one:
Oooh, I love things in threes, but I don't normally attempt five!  But I gave it a go with the cute little balloon from the SAB set Honeycomb Happiness:

I paper pieced each balloon using Sweet Lil' Things and Schoolhouse DSP, then fussy-cut them out and mounted them on a star-embossed piece of Very Vanilla, on which I had stamped a sentiment from Perfect Pairings and some sprinkles and stars from Holly Jolly Greetings (which is carried over--yippee!).  I mounted the panel on a card of Pool Party.  I added some Wink of Stella shimmer to each balloon, although it's a wee bit of a challenge to see it:

I also added a couple of champagne glimmer stars to go with the embossed stars!  Fun!

The TSOT Design Team has come up with some fabulous creations as well!  Check them out at the blog, and submit your cards as well!  OR, you can add them to the TSOT Facebook page!  Can't wait to see them!

More Christmas goodies, exercising those brain cells!!!

PSC3 and SIP 28 Chickie Hello

Happy New Year's Eve!  I have the pleasure of having a root canal done today....wish me luck!  I think my celebrating will be limited this evening!  Maybe I can still stamp though!  I did get to play with Julie Davison's Pocket Sketch Challenge for this week along with some new SU goodies:

Pocket Sketch Challenge #3: Easy Card Layouts to Inspire You www.juliedavison.com -- enter for your chance to win a Free Card Layout Book!
 And here we go:

I just love this little chick from the new SAB set called Honeycomb Happiness!  There are little honeycomb accessories you can attach to his tummy, but I just stamped him on some Schoolhouse DSP, shaded him a little with a Daffodil Delight marker and popped him up with some dimensionals:

The rest of the card also features Schoolhouse DSP, a banner from the Circle Card thinlit and a sentiment from the Greetings thinlits...oh, and some new enamel dots!!!  I am also linking this up to Stamp Ink Paper's challenge of Anything but Christmas!!!  Thanks so much for visiting today!
