DSCF8406

Happy Saturday, everyone!  Just a quick little post today!  I snagged this wonderful tutorial for these little treat boxes from Pootles…she is a MASTER at using the Envelope Punch Board!  You can see it here!  This is a great way to use up some of the plethora of DSP I have, LOL!  For my project today, I used the Best Year Ever DSP from SAB, along with Four Frames, for an Easter treat:

DSCF8405

I stamped the frame (and sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes) in Soft Suede and colored it with a blender pen.  I stamped another one on scrap paper and cut out the inside to make a mask, then sponged some Soft Sky ink lightly inside.  I stamped a couple of flowers from Something to Say, although next time, I would probably stamp them in Soft Suede again and color them, as I feel they don’t quite match this way.  I punched out my image and flowers, and mounted them on a piece of burlap ribbon, glued it to the front, then punched a “handle” with the 3/4” circle punch and tied it with some Baked Brown Sugar baker’s twine.  Since the Little Red Wagon challenge this week is “birds”, I’m entering it there, too!

The huge tower of Legos made it into the living room, where it collapsed!  A new “line-up” began; she told me these were swimmers, getting ready to swim in the pool:

And, of course, I hung around with the camera a wee bit too long:

Paper Players 218

DSCF5706

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Time for another Paper Players challenge; Sandy is our hostess today and she has a clean and simple, gold or silver challenge!

I chose to pair my silver with Cherry Cobbler, I think it is a beautiful combination!  I just got this Blooming Borders set, after hankering it since the catalog came out;  I stamped it in Cherry Cobbler, then colored in some of the berries with a silver Zig Painty pen:

And although it’s a wee bit of a challenge to see, I heat embossed a sentiment from Good Greetings on Brushed Silver cardstock, then punched it out with an oval punch, and accented it with narrow silver ribbon:

For a final touch of silver, I heat embossed a label from Four Frames, punched it out and stamped the Christmas sentiment from Petite Pairs in Encore Silver ink:

I don’t think my photos do this card justice…it’s really pretty IRL!  Metallics are so hard to photograph!  I hope you’ll play along with us this week, and remember, it’s a CAS challenge!  Check out what the other designers did as well:

CCMC255

DSCF5612

Just a quick little post today and then off to do a myriad of errands and chores!  This is for Create with Connie & Mary’s sketch this week:

I let most of the work be done by the Gingham Garden papers:

DSCF5611

Just a wee bit of stamping—Delightful Dozen and Four Frames, then some ribbon and a punched flower!  Can’t get any easier than that!  And I have to admit:  I did not look at all the samples from CCMC before making this, and I see that I have almost CASEd one of them to a T!  Ooops!  You can see Margaret’s card here.   Oh dear…great minds think alike!    Have a marvelous day!

Stampin’ Just for Fun

DSCF1914

Today’s card is one I sent to an online friend….nothing spectacular, just for fun, a bright cheery card in one of my favorite color combos….blue & yellow!

DSCF1912

I did use the Needlework embossing folder again:

DSCF1915

with some Daffodil Delight stitched ribbon; an image from Four Frames, and a sentiment from Petite Pairs.  This is a little narrower than a normal card as I sent it in a business-size envelope!  Fun and easy….sometimes you just need to stamp something that way!

I did want to thank everyone who sent Christmas and New Year’s cards to me…it was so fun seeing everyone’s hand-created greetings from around the country!  And I am looking forward to creating “with” you all in 2013!  And this is my last Christmas picture for 2012!

Enjoy your day!  Back to “normal” for us today!

Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch #77

 DSCF5805

I haven’t done a Try Stampin on Tuesday challenge for a while, and I liked this sketch, even though I turned it on its side:

I had some pretty MME papers on my desk from another project, so I kept right on using them!

 DSCF5806

I used some already-shabbied-up ribbon and I realize that the darker blue looks a little odd here….don’t know why the ink did that!  But it sort of matches!  I know the recipient will like it anyway!  I added a pretty butterfly accent along with some lace from my stash:

DSCF5807

Both the frame and the butterfly are stamped with SU’s Four Frames; the sentiment is from PTI.  Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions!

Anyone ever play with clothespins when they were a kid?  Dropping them into a soda bottle or a jar?

 DSCF5781

Of course, it was only a matter of minutes before the floor looked like this:

She was very good about picking them up, though!!!  Training her early!

RCC53

 DSCF0777

Just a quick little post today; I have been following the Ribbon Carousel challenges for a while, but never participated!  This is my first one, and it’s a sketch:

A while back, I always sent card to my top sellers in my downline, and I have dropped the ball lately, so this will be an attempt to get back on track:

DSCF0778

This is really quite a simple card, monochromatic in Blissful Blue; I used some Beau Chateau DP and Four Frames, Friendly Phrases and Kindness Matters stamp sets.  I made a scrunchy Very Vanilla seam binding bow and attached it to some crochet trim.  I did tap my sentiment stamp lightly in Pacific Point to give it a little darker tone.  Thanks for looking!

DSCF0779

While having lunch on Mother’s Day, Cassidy kept asking for pickles…..we didn’t even know she knew what a pickle was, let alone to say it!  She tried a bread and butter one, and then gave it back to me!  Gee, thanks!

Freshly Made Sketch Challenge 4

DSCF8253

My sweet friend Lesley invited me to be a GD at her new challenge blog, Freshly Made Sketches!  Thanks, Lesley!  Here’s the sketch:

FMS4

Lots of possibilities here!  Since the challenge theme is clean lines (no shabby chic here!) I went with the pretty and bold colors found in the Domestic Goddess DP:  Poppy Parade and Baja Breeze!!  Delightful!

FMS4

Lots of fun dotty stuff going on here!  I used the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder on my tag and big flower:

DSCF8254

CCMC161 & F4A76

DSCF4137

Just a quick post today—my card for a couple of challenges; first the color challenge at Create with Connie & Mary:

ccmc161

and the Free For All challenge 76 today at SCS is to use itty bitty flowers.  So here we go:

DSCF4136

I pulled out a piece of retired Brides specialty paper, wheeled the Music Notes across it (it smudged, of course), then stamped my image from  Four Frames and added my flowers from the floral punch included in the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  I was in a hurry to get this out in the mail and despite the “CAS-ness” of it, and the fact that I used my stamp-a-ma-jig, I still managed to stamp my sentiment off-kilter.  I stamped it again on a scrap and used my Word Window punch to punch it out and glued it over top.  Sigh.

DSCF4137-1

I still think it’s pretty and I hope the recipient will too!  That’s it for today!

DSCF4109-1

Wee Details:

  • Stamps:  Four Frames, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Music Notes Wheel
  • Paper:  Old Olive, Basic Black, Brides Specialty Paper, Daffodil Delight
  • Ink:  Basic Black, Stazon, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight

Kitty Birthday

DSCF6540

Happy Thursday!  What  a glorious day it is here in PA---all that humidity blown away, and a cool refreshing temperature has replaced it!  Delightful!  Today’s card is for a man in our church, which fits the Pals Paper Arts masculine color challenge:

PPA96

I also used the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary:

CCMC153

And here’s my card:

DSCF6541

John is our small group leader, a very wise man, lots of fun, and is known throughout the community for his kitty rescues!!!  He has taken in hundreds of stray cats that people drop off by his house; he feeds them, takes them to the vet for shots & neutering, and then finds homes for them.  If he can’t find a home, he has a “Cat House” in his back yard with lots of nooks and crannies, food and soft blankets for the kitties to cuddle up on!  What a soft heart he has!  So this card is for him!

DSCF6542

It is also for today’s SCS WT 325 challenge, which is to use Diecuts.  I didn’t actually use a die; I used a punch, so I hope they don’t throw me out!

Miss Cassidy, although not crawling yet, finds ways to get into Grammie’s stuff:
