TSOT225 and CYCI76

DSCF0672

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Phew, the last day of swimming lessons is today and I will be happy to get back to our old routine!  Cassidy does enjoy it, though, and the lessons are necessary!  But my stamping time was severely cut short, LOL!  Found some time yesterday to make a thank you card using the Can You Case It challenge:

CYCI#76

along with the sketch challenge from Try Stampin’ On Tuesday:

I chose Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron for my colors, along with the neutral Very Vanilla:

I love the prints in the Pretty Petals DSP line, this one might be my favorite!  I added some “scallops” by punching out some VV 3/4” circles and lining them up along the bottom edge of the DSP.  I diecut a tag with the new Tags & Framelits, added a heart from the January Paper Pumpkin stamp set and a bird from Everything Eleanor.  The leaves are from Endless Thanks, as is the sentiment.  I also added some retired crochet trim and an organdy rose:

Thanks for popping by today!

Remember the sunflower post from here?  When I returned from visiting my college roomies this past weekend, I found one blossom had bloomed!  This shot up probably two feet in a week and a half!  Cassidy was not happy about posing with it, however:

She was more interested in trying to shoot a bee that was on top of it with her new Nerf gun:

DSCF0651

She didn’t hit the bee, but she did land it waaaaaay up on a leaf, LOL!

AYSI070 Sympathy

DSCF7418

Happy Monday, everyone!  We had a soggy weekend here in PA, and I got to do a wee bit of creating!  Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card, and I had some scraps already on my desk, so I searched for a challenge to get me started and found the As You See It challenge for this week:

070

Yikes!  But I was up for the challenge, and here is my card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Sympathy THoughts and Prayers Stampin Up

I had the embossed hearts already done but didn’t use it for the original intent, so I made a tag from it, grunged it up a bit and popped it up on the front; I did some stamping on my background DSP (a misc. piece from My Mind’s Eye, as are the others) with the Everything Eleanor set, then made a banner with the sentiment from Thoughts and Prayers:

DSCF7417

I used shades of Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Soft Sky for my background stamping, and Basic Gray for the sentiment….I guess technically that’s four colors, hope they don’t throw me out!  I also colored some rhinestones black and placed a few strategically around the card.

Thanks for visiting today!

DSCF4942

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  It’s been a while since I’ve done a vintage-style card, and when the Make It Monday challenge at The Kraft Journal featured “ruffles”, I knew what I wanted to do!  Here you go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Dictionary Everything Eleanor Stampin Up

I started with a card base of Lost Lagoon and stamped the Dictionary background stamp on it, sponging the edges for some depth.  I stamped the Dictionary stamp again, this time with Versamark ink,  within a little mask on a panel of Crumb Cake.  I sprinkled on Clear EP, heated it up, then sponged some craft white ink.  I added images from Kinda Eclectic and Everything Eleanor in Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand and Stazon Black.
For the “ru
ffle”, I punched a piece of Naturals Ivory with the eyelet punch, then distressed it with my bone folder and separated the fibers to create a thinner, more rustic piece of paper.  I crimped it, pleated it and then sewed it to my card.  I sewed a little piece of ribbon; added some Sweet Sadie washi tape, a couple of punched butterflies and finished it with a Very Vintage designer button.  The “So Thankful” sentiment is from Project Life’s Holiday Cheer.  I love these colors together!!!

I am also entering this in the Shopping Your Stash challenge this week, which is to use your crimper!

A cereal box gives you a different view of things:

And I thought you might like to see what greeted me the other morning when I went outside:

DSCF4885-001

I DO NOT like spiders, but I know they are good to have in the garden, so I just leave them alone!!!  This one caught some sort of bug right as I was taking the first photo, and a few hours later, this is what it looked like….all wrapped up!

Enjoy your day!

Paper Players 202

DSCF3888

Happy Sunday, peeps!  What a glorious weekend it is turning out to be in PA!  I am not sure if Mother Nature is rewarding us for having to suffer through such a difficult winter, but I am taking it gladly!!!  Sandy is our hostess today for the Paper Players, and she has a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us all:

I needed a thank you card, so I chose the middle horizontal line….but then I realized I didn’t have much green patterned paper!  Yikes, how can that be?  I searched some of my retired DP and found some SAB paper from a couple years ago, and went to work:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 202 Chalk Talk Thank You Stampin Up

This is definitely a combo of old and new!  The Baja Breeze elements are all retired, as is the little heart charm (some of these might still be available on the Clearance Rack!), but the stamps are all current:  Everything Eleanor, Chalk Talk and Blooming with Kindness.  I did a little sponging to mimic the colors on the DP, and shabbied up some of the seam binding for a vintage look!

So what tic-tac-toe series will tempt you to create something this week?  Be sure to check out all the designers’ samples here:

and share yours with us as well!  We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Have you EVER seen raspberries this big?  Humongous!

Paper Players 197

DSCF3033

Hi everyone!  Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!  Today, it’s my turn to be the hostess at the Paper Players, and I have a sketch for you!  I hope you will play along with us and share your creation made with my sketch!  Here it is:

PP197

I used a couple current stamp sets, a retiring stamp set and some new papers for my Father’s Day card today!

I used some papers from the new Moonlight pad; the label image is from Everything Eleanor, stamped in Lost Lagoon (stamped off once); the stamp is from Postage Due, also stamped in Lost Lagoon; and the sentiment is from the retiring Delightful Dozen, stamped in Basic Gray.  I filled in the lettering with a Smoky Slate marker:

DSCF3034

I used some Lost Lagoon stitched ribbon as an embellishment, along with a couple of candy dots.  This was a fun, easy card and I hope my dad likes it!!  Be sure to check out what the other designers came up with:

Cassidy figured out how to turn on the hose and wasted no time in playing with the water:

ColourQ 242

DSCF3065

Hi everyone!  It’s Tuesday, and you know what that means….another ColourQ challenge!  Today’s bright, cheerful palette will give everyone a boost of energy…what do you think?

A pair of sneaks like these would give anyone a kick-start!  I went with a clean, simple design because I wanted to use this cute little birdhouse die:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings ColourQ242 Sweet Birthday Wish

I paired it up with some other dies and the little bird from Everything Eleanor, and some little  punched-out flowers in Daffodil Delight:

DSCF3066

The Catered Crop has a Sweet Home challenge this week, so my little birdhouse is my little “home”, and another challenge had to use a clothespin, but alas, I was too late for that one, but I thought it was still a fun way to add some interest to my CAS card!  And I always need birthday cards, so I added a Unity sentiment to finish it off!

What do these colors “say” to you?  I hope you share your creation with us at the ColourQ blog so we can see it too!  Enjoy your day!

ColourQ 240

DSCF2618-001

Hi everyone!  It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s ColourQ time!  Look at this delightfully delicate color palette Arielle has for us this week:

I just happened to have this image from Fabulous Florets already stamped and colored with Strawberry Slush ink, so I cut it out and added it to some MME DP stamped with the flourish from Everything Eleanor, mounted on a Sage Shadow card base:

I diecut some leaves from Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and added some color with an aquapainter and some PP ink:

DSCF2620

I added a sentiment from Bring on the Cake on some Shimmery White paper, diecut with an Apothecary Accents die.  I left the die on the cutout and sponged it with some Pink Pirouette ink, which is a bit difficult to see here:

DSCF2623

I also colored some pearls with a Copic and added to the right side for a little extra femininity!  I hope you’ll play along with us this week…these colors are perfect for Mother’s Day or any feminine creation!

Cassidy was disobedient (besides being messy) and wrote on the table with a pencil:

DSCF2534

So I made her clean it up with some Fantastik and a paper towel:

DSCF2540

She loved it and wanted to clean everything! I hope I can keep her enthusiasm going!

HSS182 Sympathy

DSCF1644

Believe it or not, I needed three sympathy cards yesterday!  I used the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch for two of them:

I used a piece of Quatrefancy Specialty DP for the main panel; Betsy Blossoms and Petite Pairs for the stamped pieces, and diecuts from Beautiful Wings for my embellishment:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Sympathy Petite Pairs Butterfly Stampin Up

And here’s the inside; I inked the flower in Pool Party, stamped it once on my scrap, then again on the inside, stamping the sentiment in Island Indigo over top:

DSCF1645

I like how it ties it all together!

For my second one, I used some MME papers, a retired Cornish Heritage Farm Bible verse and the flowers and swirl from Everything Eleanor:

After stamping the flowers in Primrose Petals, I cut apart some of the petals, sponged everything and popped up the top layer:

DSCF1649

My sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray and cut out with an Apothecary Accent die.  I am also submitting this to the Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!   Thanks for visiting today!

More play-doh fun!  I think this was a plate of “mashed potatoes” for Grampy!

Enjoy your day!
