SSC156 Foil Birthday

Happy Friday, peeps!  Another birthday card today....I need lots this month!  The Sunday Stamps sketch was challenging--a tall and skinny one:

When I first saw the Foil Frenzy DSP in the catalog, I wasn't too impressed, but when I saw it in real life, it knocked my socks off!  I decided to use a piece of it for my card base; I cut and folded it to make a 3" x 7" card, then added a layer of Whisper White and my embellishments:

I stamped the balloons from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and punched them out with the Balloon punch, then layered them on the panel.  The larger Berry Burst balloon was stamped with some flowers from the same set.  I added a Strawberry Slush baker's twine bow and some scalloped trim as well:

I had punched a few extra balloons, so I put them on the inside for extra fun!

And since this is an odd-shaped card, I also made a custom envelope using some DSP from the Fresh Florals stack!  Thanks for popping in today!

It was a rainy day yesterday, so Cassidy decided she wanted to do a little crafting!

And despite the silly face, she did an awesome job on her little purple wagon!

Be blessed and have an awesome day!

Happy Saturday, everyone!  Just a quick little post today!  I snagged this wonderful tutorial for these little treat boxes from Pootles…she is a MASTER at using the Envelope Punch Board!  You can see it here!  This is a great way to use up some of the plethora of DSP I have, LOL!  For my project today, I used the Best Year Ever DSP from SAB, along with Four Frames, for an Easter treat:

I stamped the frame (and sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes) in Soft Suede and colored it with a blender pen.  I stamped another one on scrap paper and cut out the inside to make a mask, then sponged some Soft Sky ink lightly inside.  I stamped a couple of flowers from Something to Say, although next time, I would probably stamp them in Soft Suede again and color them, as I feel they don’t quite match this way.  I punched out my image and flowers, and mounted them on a piece of burlap ribbon, glued it to the front, then punched a “handle” with the 3/4” circle punch and tied it with some Baked Brown Sugar baker’s twine.  Since the Little Red Wagon challenge this week is “birds”, I’m entering it there, too!

The huge tower of Legos made it into the living room, where it collapsed!  A new “line-up” began; she told me these were swimmers, getting ready to swim in the pool:

And, of course, I hung around with the camera a wee bit too long:

Enjoy your day!

A Plethora of Projects

DSCF0396-001
Happy Wednesday peeps! Wow, did we get hit with some snow yesterday…thank goodness for 4-wheel drive vehicles!!  I spent some time stamping, although these I had made over the weekend to show at my downline meeting.  I promise that I do have some cards made with other than Retro Fresh, but for now, you’ll have to see these!  This is a little birthday gift set, using the Circle Card Thinlits, the Let’s Celebrate stamp set, and the new Sale-a-Bration set, See Ya Later:

The card uses that pretty stretch ruffled ribbon from SU, which keeps the card together nicely:

and here’s the inside:

I wanted to show my downline some cool things made with the Envelope Punch Board, and I found this video showing how to make a 4x4 gift box;  I resized my cardstock to 6x6” and scored it at 2 3/4” and 3 1/4” to make a smaller box, which I decorated with a panel stamped with See Ya Later and topped with a Scallop Tag Topper punch and that cool twine that’s also available during SAB:

And inside, I made 4 little note cards and included envelopes as well:

The sentiment is from the photopolymer set, Another Thank You, and the flower is from the SAB set, Banner Blast.  I gave a lot of my sets some lovin’ with this project!  Thanks for visiting today!
Another jammie pic!
