PP630 Happy Easter

Hello, stamping friends!  Joanne is our Paper Players hostess this week and she has a fun theme for us; check out her little mood board:

I have a lot of stamps I could have used for this challenge, but I remembered this cute little lamb I had from a few years back, and even though there's no lamb in the theme board, I thought it would be okay!  So here we go:

I used the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches, which is also Joanne's:

I started with a Petal Pink card base and added a layer of Soft Seafoam to peek through the openings of my Dots & Spots Basic White diecut layer. The bottom layer is a Petal Pink plaid from Country Gingham DSP.  The little lamb was stamped in Smoky Slate, then colored with some Blends:

I stamped the sentiment from the same set inSoft Seafoam and diecut it too:

The inside sentiment is from a CTMH set from a few years ago:

I am sure you'll be able to find some inspiration from Joanne's challenge!  Please share your creation with us at the Paper Players and check out what the DT created while you're there!  Thanks for popping by---enjoy it and be blessed!

AYSI246 Happy Easter

Happy Friday, peeps!  Time for a new As You See It challenge...right on time for the Easter holiday!  You might want to do a fun card or a religious one!  I chose to do both!

My first one uses some current and retired products:

I used some Ornate Garden Specialty paper for my background, layering it on a Soft Seafoam card.  The cross from Cross of Hope die was cut from some Gold Foil, as was the back layer of the Nesting Labels die.  I heat-embossed a sentiment from the retired Easter Lamb set in gold embossing powder and diecut it with the banner die from the same die set:

I also added some Soft Seafoam leaves, diecut with the Pierced Blooms dies.  The inside sentiment was from an older SU set, God Bless II:

The second one is more whimsical; again, I used Easter Lamb with the same DSP line, and added some Pierced Bloom flowers and a Bumblebee Gingham ribbon:

I did a tiny bit of shading with some Blends, and added Pierced Bloom flowers as well:

And used the sentiment from the same set for the inside:

Finally, I used the sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday:

Oops, I forgot the little doodads at the top left!  Oh well!

We're open to any way you want to interpret our Easter-themed challenge this week, and we hope you'll play along!  Check out what the DT created at As You See It if you need some additional inspiration!  Thanks for popping by today!

Not an Easter lamb....but still cute!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Blessings

Happy Monday, everyone!  I have a quick CAS card today because it's CLUB day and I get to see my stamping friends!  I am squeezing this in at CAS Colours and Sketches too!

We had four lovely young ladies join our church yesterday; they went through the communicant's class, which is a challenging one, and so I wanted to make a card for each of them.  I found a package of scalloped-edge notecards that I had gotten at a yard sale a while back, and they were perfect for my sweet little lamb image

I stamped this cute little lamb in Memento Black and colored her ears in Petal Pink using ink and a blender pen, and then filled in some of her curls with the challenge colors.  I blended the Bermuda Bay and So Saffron together to make the grass:

I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay and added a little piece of gingham strip at the bottom to highlight the scallops.  I think it was actually Coastal Cabana, but hopefully it's close enough to the challenge colors they won't throw me out!  Thanks for popping in today!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

SSC122 Baby

Hi all!  Happy Wednesday!  Peeking in here today with a quick little one-layer baby card using SU's Easter Lamb:

And here's the sketch from Sunday Stamps that I used:

Little lamb is stamped in Basic Black, then colored with inks and an aquapainter; I used Watermelon Wonder, Crushed Curry and Pool Party, then Wild Wasabi for the grass and sentiment (Suite Sayings).  A few It's My Party enamel dots finished it off!

We made a little doll yesterday out of a clothespin, fabric, pipe cleaner and yarn....she loved drawing the face on, but what she really loved:

 was cutting its hair!!

Thanks for popping in today!
