DD73 & Halloween Candy Holder Tutorial
I promised I would share with you the directions for the little Ghiradelli candy holders from this post on Sunday! But first, let me share my Dynamic Duos card that I am barely squeaking in for this week! Here’s the color challenge:
And here’s my card:
LOL, I know this looks like a baby congrats card, but it’s actually a card I made for the top sellers in my downline!!! I really wanted to use this color combo, as it is not one I would have chosen myself, and I really wanted to use that Zoo Babies set…..so hopefully they’ll get a chuckle from it as well as being congratulated on a job well done! It’s really simple, as I have to mass-produce them, but hopefully there are enough elements to still make it interesting!
Now, on to the the Ghiradelli candy holders; here they are:
And here are the directions….these are very basic but easy!
A couple of tips I will share….when you trim the diagonal edges to tuck inside, use the opening from the Word Window punch to give you an idea of how much to trim off…..that way it will fit inside the punched opening easily! Also, make sure you use some good adhesive….Sticky Strip or Tombow Multipurpose glue, so your candy won’t fall out. Now you can decorate your Ghiradelli candy holder in any way you like! Have fun!
I told you before that Cassidy was giving me a hard time when I wanted to take her picture….here she is, helping me by emptying the silverware bin from the dishwasher, but she did NOT want that camera in her face!!!
Hopefully when she comes back today, she will be in a more photogenic mood! Enjoy your day!

STS1, DD64 & CCCB171
Happy Thursday, peeps! I have two cards today for three challenges. Both cards use the Seize the Sketch sketch #1….that amazing Lesley has started another sketch challenge! Here’s the first one:
Unfortunately, I need a sympathy card, so I found some beautiful MME papers, cut off a triangular panel from one piece and adhered it to a pretty polka-dotted background:
I did some stitching, stamped a label image, made a little banner and attached it all with a glimmer brad, some shabby ribbon in Soft Sky and some loopy gold thread:
And isn’t this vintage sewing machine image the sweetest?
This card also qualifies for the City Crafter Challenge, which is to use polka dots!
The next one uses the Dynamic Duos color challenge 64:
My heart wasn’t quite in this one as much as the first one, but I needed a thank you card RIGHT AWAY, so this one had to do:
I just feel like it’s missing something, but it is long gone! I used the heart from Kind & Cozy to make a little “flower” center. I also used Gingham Garden washi tape to make the center for my build-a-brad…I love that!
Dana shared these photos with me…..Cassidy has a little etch-a-sketch type toy, and she drew a self portrait….pretty good, for an almost 3YO:
She even got the ponytails in the right place (although she might tell you that they are arms, LOL!). Enjoy your day! And since I am in a wee bit of a hurry today, I’m not sharing recipes….if you need to know anything about either of these cards, shoot me an email!

DD59 & CCMC
I have a couple of little bird figurines on my porch, along with a candle lantern. Cassidy thought it would be fun to give the birds a new home!
That girl is always thinking!!!
