Paper Players 164

DSCF8159

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Yay, it’s the first official day of autumn!   Sandy is our hostess today for the Paper Players and look at this awesome sketch she’s got for us:

I opened a stamp set I’ve had and not used yet---you don’t have any of them, do you?!!  LOL!  Zoo Babies is so cute, and I thought I’d make a bright, cheerful kid’s birthday card with the little rhino:

I used some retired products:  designer papers and pleated ribbon; along with some new products:  the Circle Thinlets card dies!  They are so much fun to play with!  I used the scallop circle, the chevrons and the “yay”!!!  I stamped my rhino in Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade (see his horns?) and popped him up, then added a couple of fun sentiments on the inside:

I love these cheerful colors together with the white sentiments!  This sketch is perfect for so many images….what will you use?  Share it with us at the Paper Players blog so we can see it too!  And check out the other designers’ creations as well:
Here are a few more fair pictures:

STB11 and Some Easter Cards

DSCF3584

Happy Saturday, peeps!  What a week!  I am trying to clean up layers of drywall dust as we do some updating to my craft room!  My mojo level has gone done in direct proportion to the increased amount of dust and cleaning I have to do!  But the end result will be worth it…I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!  Anyway, I had a few minutes to stamp yesterday and since I never have enough masculine birthday cards, I snapped up the chance to use the recent Seize the Birthday challenge:

I pulled out some cool Echo Park papers and used my new A Round Array stamp set, along with the Designer Typeset clear stamp set:

These papers are so fun, they do most of the work!  I did stamp and cut out the banners, stamped the “HB”, punched it out and adhered it to the little scallop.  Fun & easy!

I also wanted to share with you some pretty Easter cards I received!  This sweet one is from my friend and downline, Penny:

This one is from my talented friend, Linda, whose blog I dearly miss:

CTS20

DSCF3420
Wow, two posts in one day!!!  I was thrilled to earn an Honorable Mention at CAS(E) this Sketch for this card!  And how fun is this week’s sketch?
I had been itching to use some of this Fan Fair DP for a masculine card, so I went to work; not sure how CAS this is, plus I realized I didn't put the sentient in the right place, but I had fun making it:

And here is the tag inside:

And HEY!  I used the new polymer stamp set Designer Typeset….a fun little set!  The letters are tiny though…..I almost lost my “e” on my navy blue carpet!!! Yikes!  I stamped the banner on Crumb Cake with Not Quite Navy, cut it out and curved it a wee bit to fit on my little envelope.

I used some Sahara Sand to make my tag and stamped the sentiment from Delightful Dozen.  Fun little masculine get-well!
