Halloween Overload

Hi peeps!  Happy Tuesday!  I got a lot of stamping time in yesterday and bulked up my Halloween card supply!  I have so many Halloween stamps, I can never use them all but I put a dent in some of them!  My first card is for Fab Friday's color challenge and In(k)Spire Me's sketch challenge, since yesterday's was not really up to par---I totally forgot the sentiment!!:

So here we go:

I started with an older cat and jack stamp (I don't know the maker) and stamped it on a diecut circle of Pumpkin Pie and added some Poppy Parade shading.  It's backed with a Gorgeous Grape scallop and embellished with some purple bats (!!!!), and accented with some enamel dots.  I diecut the sentiment and adhered it, then ran it through the Big Shot with a retired Spiderweb embossing folder.  In hindsight, I should have made this card with thick white cardstock, I always forget how embossing folders make a card so wobbly!!

Bright colors, but fun!  My second one used the outer edge of the circle that I cut from the above card (Lil' Inker Stitched Circles have stitching on both edges!)  I know the photo makes it look much lighter, but it is the same cardstock!  I can't resist this cute little trick-or-treater in her pumpkin costume...I stamped her in Memento ink and used SU blends to color her in:

I used some retired Urban Underground DSP for the background and mounted it on a Pear Pizzazz card that was stamped with some stars!  I added a banner, a little star embellishment and some enamel dots.  Isn't she cute?

And since this week's City Crafter Challenge is Halloween, I am playing along with it!

And speaking of cute, can you believe at National Harbor, there is a PEEPS store?!  There are only two in the US...one there and another in Allentown, PA.  I wish I had gotten a picture of the store, there were peeps everywhere!  I love to look at peeps but I do NOT like them....not a fan of marshmallows too much!  And I usually don't buy Cassidy souvenirs when I go somewhere, but I had to get her a peeps shirt:

She actually took off her Minecraft shirt and wore this one to school!  Me?  I wanted the little peeps bag!  So cute!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Joyful Trees

Ah, Saturday and the weekend!  So happy to see it!  Can you handle another Christmas card?  I found several challenges that I could combine, starting with the Fab Friday sketch:

as well as the Jingle Belles Blog Banner Inspired Challenge:

and the City Crafter Challenge is Christmas CAS:

I stamped the tree images from Rooted in Nature in Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz, diecut them out and mounted them on a panel embossed with the Softly Falling EF:

I added a strip of gold glimmer paper and some retired Pear Pizzazz ribbon and finally, a little fussy-cut sentiment.  A little Dazzling Diamond glitter was used to "frost" the trees:

I mounted everything on a Coastal Cabana card!  Another one to add to the stash!

And a few more birthday cards!  This pretty one is from Robyn:

This clever one is from Doris:

and Sandy always sends me fun ones!

Thanks, ladies!

Cassidy made a birthday card for my great-niece using the same thumbprint set, In Print, as I used on Thursday.  This time, she used the fish image and we stamped the "Best Fishes" from Jar of Love:

It's only a wee little thing, 2 1/2" x 4", and she added her own bubbles, water and seaweed with glimmer pens:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Poinsettia CAS Christmas

Happy Friday, peeps!  Loll and Bonnie have a nice CAS Christmas challenge going on this month, TGIF166 has a glitter challenge:

and the City Crafter Challenge is Christmas in July with silver!  I have had this Deck the Halls Christmas paper pad from Melissa Frances for a long, long time, and I was thrilled to be able to use it:

There is NO stamping on the outside of the card, all the designs are from the paper itself!  I used a Concord and 9th die (Season of Cheer) to cut out my sentiment in silver glimmer paper, and I used an adhesive sheet on the back so it was easier to adhere:

I mounted it on a Mossy Meadow card, added a sentiment on the inside, and it was done!  That IS easy peasy!  Thanks for popping in today!

A sweet little Sawyer from the July 4th bash!

CCCB412 and MTS229 BeeUtiful

Happy Monday, peeps!  It is a gorgeous morning, no rain in sight and my grass is a foot high, so I guess I know what I'll be doing later today!  For my card today, I am squeaking in the City Crafter Challenge of "Honey, I'm Home" (use bees),  as well as the Match the Sketch:

I have LOTS of bee stamps, because I just love bees and what they do for the garden!  The sets I used here are from Darcie's Heart and Home, along with some miscellaneous papers floating around on my desk:

I did some random collage-style stamping on the honeycomb background paper:

then I stamped the beehive on some pale yellow DSP , fussy-cut it out and added some shading (and some ink blotches from a messy Hello Honey inkpad 🙁🙁):

then stamped and colored in the frame and sentiment, fussy-cut it and popped it up:

I also added some sequins and a diecut border embellishment, then finished the inside:

I mounted it on a Crumb Cake base and it's all ready for someone's "Bee-day"

I also wanted to share with you a little favor my sweet friend Linda made for her stamp club girls; it's a little beach bag filled with an umbrella and some other goodies:

It is so sweet!!  Thanks Linda, and thank you for popping in today!  Be sure to stop back tomorrow for a new Retro Rubber challenge!!

IM339 and CCC400 Feel Better Soon

Happy Monday, peeps!  I hope you had a good weekend....we had a very relaxing one....well, I did!  John worked on our remodeled bedroom upstairs above the new kitchen....the painter is done, John's working on his new closet; soon we'll have the carpet chosen and installed and then we can move out of the tiny spare bedroom!!!  Anyway, I really didn't get much stamping done, but I did make one card for the In(k)spire Me sketch challenge and the City Crafter Challenge to use polka dots:

I had this little Altenew image stamped, colored with SU Blends, and diecut, just sitting on my desk, so I pulled out some Cantaloupe Crisp polka-dotted DSP and went to work:

I diecut the edges of the DSP with Pretty Pink Posh's Scalloped Borders dies.  The image was stamped on Shimmery White cardstock, colored with Blends and SU's White Chalk Marker for the highlight.  I added an embossed sentiment from Papertrey, stamped in Craft White ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder.  A little snippet of doily added a sweet touch:

I never seem to have enough get-well cards, so this will go in my stash!

Cassidy was with her daddy this weekend, so no pix, but Dana did send me a picture of the other "child" in the family:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

CCCB286 Oh Deer

DSCF2660-001

Hi, everyone!  Hope you’re having a good week so far!  The City Crafter Challenge blog is encouraging us to get ready for Christmas with this fun inspiration photo:

The last couple of weeks have been spent making some items for a little craft show at my local Curves, and a couple of items had a deer theme, so I thought I’d share those.  The first is a card using a Tim Holtz diecut deer in Baja Breeze, mounted on some old, old Christmas paper I’ve had in my stash:

I am smitten with the sentiments from Papertrey’s new set called O Holy Night; such lovely snippets from verses and carols, I just love them!  It was stamped directly on the DSP with some Early Espresso ink.

I also had a couple of these small jar candles from another project, so I pulled out some seasonal DSP, again featuring deer silhouettes, added a banner greeting, some twill ribbon and a tiny star-embellished tag, tied with some linen thread!  I love the country look of this one too…I think country and Christmas go together so well!

We had some unseasonably warm temps yesterday, and Cassidy had no school, so I took her out for a long walk in the afternoon to collect acorns and hazelnuts; she likes to toss them in the creek that runs behind our house!

KJ242, CCCB280 and MTS090

DSCF2037

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  I strayed from my SU goodies to make a seasonal card today, using the sketch from Match The Sketch:

and the Kraft Journal’s challenge of Anything Goes-Pumpkin, and the City Crafter Challenge of “Fall”!!  I jump at any chance to use this little W+9 Pumpkin, so I put it to use with some Simple Stories Harvest Lane DSP,  a Darice embossing folder and a Lil Inker’s Stitched Circles die:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Happy Fall Pumpkin

I did use a strip of SU DSP from Farmer’s Market, along with some Linen Thread; card base is Delightful Dijon, circle is Crumb Cake, and I’ve used mats of Tip Top Taupe, Old Olive and Tangelo Twist.  Ink colors are Tangelo Twist, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.  My sentiment is from Mixed Holiday Sentiments by My Creative Time!  I plan to put a birthday sentiment on the inside for a special fall b-day!

And speaking of pumpkins, we picked our first one yesterday….we only have 8 more, and they’re small, but we’re thrilled to have some that actually grew!
