AYSI248 Polished Thank You

Happy Friday, peeps! It's time for a new As You See It challenge, and we have an awesome sketch:

I couldn't wait to play with one of the new In Colors, Polished Pink, so I pulled out some cardstock and ink, along with some True Love DSPs, and went to work:

The card base and sentiment from Ornate Thanks are Polished Pink; the butterflies from Butterfly Gala are colored with several different shades of pink, and the scalloped border is Melon Mambo:

I added some Wink of Stella to the butterfly, along with some Genial Gems, then stamped the sentiment (in Memento Black, but it certainly doesn't look like it!) and another butterfly on the inside:

I love this sketch....I need several thank you cards, so I will be making a few more of these!  I hope you'll play along with us this week and show us what you create with the sketch!  Share it with us at As You See It!  Thanks for popping in today!

TCC151 Brilliant Butterfly

Happy Wednesday, all!  Our Card Concept challenge for this week is a brilliant one:

I had a few ideas in my head, but since I usually don't tend to go for bright jewel colors, I thought I would use them, but in a minimal way!  So here we go:

My card base of Thick White cardstock was embossed with lines created with a stylus and my scoring board.  I added a panel of Magenta Madness and True Love DSP, then did a watercolor background on a piece Shimmery White cardstock with some Pacific Point ink.  I stamped the butterfly from Positive Thoughts and added some deeper shades of PP and Granny Apple Green.  I cut it out with some circular dies, and rhinestones added some sparkle.

Finally, a sentiment from Ornate Thanks, also stamped in Pacific Point and diecut with the same Stitched So Sweetly dies finished off my clean-and layered card:

I hope you'll play along with us; if you need to identify the different concepts we feature at The Card Concept, check out our blog, then play along!  Can't wait to see you there!

Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!

Butterflies for FMS475

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I have a couple of cards for Freshly Made Sketches for this week using the pretty Butterfly Bijou DSP!  Here's the sketch:

The Butterfly Brilliance Bundle is gorgeous, but I already had Butterfly Gala, so I only purchased the DSP.  For my cards today, I chose this pretty pattern, cut into three panels and backed with Highland Heather and adhered to a Basic White card stock embossing with the Stitched With Whimsy dies:

I stamped a simple butterfly on Coastal Cabana cardstock with Coastal Cabana and Highland Heather inks, added a jewel and a little sentiment and it was done!

My second card is basically the same, although I changed up the butterfly a week bit and added some retired ribbon:

and TWO rhinestones!

Such beautiful colors!!  Thanks for popping in today!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

AYSI234 Butterfly Birthday

Happy Friday, everyone!  Time for a new As You See It challenge, and we've got a recipe for you!  Here you go:

Image may contain: text that says 'Die Cut/ Punch Circles Siitiday lishes Birthday Butterfly Patterned Paper As Ypu See CHALLENGE #234'

These are such fun elements, aren't they?  I used the Fusion inspiration for my colors:

and the challenge at The Spot this week is Fun Folds:

So here's my card:

The fold on my card was inspired by a card my upline, Pennie McCallum, sent me (I'll show it below).  For my card, I used some So Saffron and Peony Garden DSPs with accents of Silver glimmer paper, and the Butterfly Gala stamp set along with the matching Butterfly Duet punch:

I heat-embossed a sentiment from Here's A Card in silver embossing powder and added some silvery sequins:

And here's what it looks like open...it's a bit challenging to photograph it!

I stamped a sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays on the inside:

And here's the card Pennie sent me, which is just the cutest:

So I hope you'll use our recipe to create a fun birthday card for a special someone!  Share it with us at As You See It and check out what the DT has created as well! Thanks for stopping by today!

PP503 Hello Beautiful

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Hope your weekend is going well so far!  Joanne is our fabulous hostess this week at the Paper Players, and she is really challenging us!  Check out this amazing color palette:

When I want to create a card with multiple colors like this, I usually choose small images in the same shape or size; but I went a wee bit different this time!  I used the butterflies from Butterfly Gala, stamping them in Night of Navy and using the other challenge colors to fill them in.  Here we go:

I began with the FMS sketch for this week:

I had a strip of  Pool Party DSP lying on my desk and I found a cool embossed cover plate panel that my sweet friend Michele gave me, so I combined the two, layering the cover plate over the polka dots with some dimensionals.  I stamped several butterflies and punched them out with the matching punch and adhered them along the opening:
The sentiment is from the same set, stamped on a Stitched Shape square, and I added a couple more butterflies and embellished it with some Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems:
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Little Treats and added a few more butterflies that I had left over!
This is such a fun, cheerful color combination! I hope you'll be able to find something to stamp with these colors!  Check out what all the other designers did at the Paper Players, then share yours with us too!  Thanks so much for popping in today!

Last weekend at my niece's surprise birthday party, Sawyer wanted to see her goats!  He said they tickled his hand!!!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

FMS and Fusion Butterfly

Hello peeps! Well, yesterday was a lost day....I realized mid-morning that I had never made a card for Inspired By, and then when I did finally check my blog, my Tic-Tac-Toe post was still in draft mode and had never posted.  Trying to keep Cassidy busy and on track really got me OFF track.  We had a really busy day to boot, although a really good one that ended with lots of kids making lots of noise and having lots of fun in our backyard....and that really, really made me happy!

Anyway, enough rambling...I managed to squeak out a little stamping time late last night, and after seeing my friend Linda's gorgeous butterfly card here, I knew I wanted to make one for myself; hers is for the Fusion challenge, and I incorporated the FMS sketch for mine:

So here we go:

I had just received Butterfly Gala last week, so I stamped one of the butterflies in Memento and colored it with various blends, then punched it out with the coordinating punch.  I adhered it to a Whisper White square that was embossed with one of the new Greenery embossing folders.  My background papers are Pacific Point and Coastal Cabana DSPs, and the sentiment is also from Butterfly Gala.  My final additions were a couple of retired Noble Peacock gems:

Thanks for popping in today...Cassidy goes home this evening so I will spend the weekend working on my upcoming stamp club!  My craft room looks like a bomb hit it!!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
