Blue Christmas

Hello, stamping friends! Happy November!  I have a cute little Christmas card today that was sort of a happy mistake!  I had stamped a piece of Azure Afternoon cardstock with the retired Buffalo Check stamp for a previous project, but decided it wasn't going to work.  I saved it, though, and later on, brought it out and decided to try embossing it with a snowflake folder.  I liked it!  I added a bit of stamping on a scalloped panel, and came up with this:

The stamp set is used is an old, old one from Cosmo Cricket--remember that company? I don't think I ever got it inky before this!  I stamped the lights and snowflake across the white panel, then stamped and cut out the ornament separately.  No frills or doodads, but I think with the plaid embossed background, it's enough:

Thanks for visiting today!

PP710 Harvest Love

Happy Sunday, all!  Jan is our Paper Players hostess and she's asking for a "love" theme this week...always a good choice!

I went in a different direction with my card, choosing a fall theme, but I still got some "love" in there!  Here we go:

I stamped and diecut these little My Favorite Things Harvest Mice, then colored them in with inks and an aquapainter and put them on a Real Red panel that I embossed with the retired Cable Knit embossing folder:

I added a sentiment, stamped in Pecan Pie, and added a Pecan Pie mat to my embossed panel.  Finally, on the Crumb Cake card base, I stamped the Buffalo Check stamp in white craft ink to add to the warm country feel!

Please be sure to check out what the Design Team created over at the Paper Player blog...they're beautiful!  You'll get lots of inspiration so you can play along too!

Another Christmas Tree Card

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I am sharing another Christmas card today! I've been playing with this tree stamp again and already had stamped it in red, and after seeing that the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown was looking for red, white and kraft, I decided to whip up another quick card!

So here we go:

I mounted my tree diecut on a piece of Real Red that I sponged with some craft white ink, then mounted it on a Real Red postage diecut.  I stamped a piece of Crumb Cake with the retired Buffalo Check background stamp and diecut it with the Radiating Stitches die. My final addition were a few red enamel dots!  Easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Thank You Kindly

Happy Friday, everyone!  I had some fun yesterday, between mowing and making roasted peppers, doing some stamping and watercoloring!  I pulled out an old stamp from 2010 called Countryside, along with the also-retired Buffalo Check from 2018, and this is what I made:

I was inspired by three challenges: the photo and sketch at  Inspired By, Vicky's Tic Tac Toe board, and the Retro Rubber Anything Goes:

Since my truck has apples instead of pumpkins, I chose to make it red!  I stamped it in Black Stazon ink and watercolored it with reinkers.  I did a bit of selective cutting to get my stitched square to work properly!  The Buffalo Check was stamped in Real Red on Very Vanilla and diecut with the Deckle Edge Rectangle dies.  The little apple, from the same set, was also diecut and the sentiment, from Poppy Stamp's Whittle Sayings, has some red and tan twine to make it into a tag.  It fits with the diagonal on the Tic Tac Toe board of  twine, diecut and plaid.

I always thought it would be fun to drive a truck like this, now that I know how to drive a stick shift.  However, I doubt it would have power steering or power brakes, so I think I'll just admire it from my stamp room!

John visited his sister Mimi a few days ago and she gave him some bounty from her garden:

She said she planted three mounds with three or four seeds in each mound and got ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY EIGHT gourds...so far!  Wowza!  Not sure what kind of fertilizer she's using, but it's working!   Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Be Merry

Happy Friday, peeps!  Just a quick card for two challenges today!  The Color Hues challenge wants red and aqua, which is a favorite of mine, and the Christmas Craft Creations wants only two colors!

I pulled out a favorite Stamp Market set and here we go:

I looked through my stash of DSP but didn't have any Coastal Cabana gingham, so I made my own plaid with the retired Buffalo Check.  The sentiment, candy cane and bow are from The Stamp Market's Candy Cane Christmas set; they were all stamped and adhered to a Stylish Shapes square diecut and layered with a Real Red scalloped mat.  I also added a little rhinestone for some bling!

An Impression Obsession stamp finished the inside:

I know it's pretty unadorned, but sometimes that's okay!  Thanks for visiting today...enjoy it and be blessed!

TMS643 Welcoming Window

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  I had some time yesterday to play with the Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch as well as the mood board from Double D Challenges:

I pulled out Welcoming Window and the retired Buffalo Check background stamp and here's what I came up with:

Everything is pretty self-explanatory; I used the Window Flower Box dies, along with a little heart punch, to create my little scene:

I added a sentiment from Special Moments at the top, and the background panel was stamped with the Buffalo Check.  I love the freshness that bright red and white have together!  And since Darlene clued me in to one of their new challenges, Colorful Options, I am entering this there as well!

 Thanks for popping in today!

And here's a shameless plug for Dana's new Poshmark shop!  This is one of her latest creations, and the artwork was done by one of Cassidy's friends!  So much talent!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

RRCB170 Fall Flowers

Hi there!  Time for a new Retro Rubber challenge, where we give our older stamps some love!  Here's the photo prompt Jane has for us today....lots of possibilities on this one:

Since I just made a couple of pumpkin cards, I thought I'd concentrate on that bucket of flowers; I pulled out Basket of Wishes (2016) and Buffalo Check (2018) to make a sweet country-themed birthday card:

I stamped the basket on some Very Vanilla cardstock (which I should have known better to do, as my image warped a lot!) and stamped the design twice behind it, making it a wee bit higher because I wanted to stamp a third image and place it in front to give it some dimension.  All the flowers were colored with inks and an aquapainter. I fussy-cut the third image and popped it up to make the basket look nice and full:

I stamped a panel of Very Vanilla with Buffalo Check in Old Olive, added a piece of Cinnamon Cider DSP and a panel of Old Olive, diecut with a Stitched Shapes square die, then cut in half to make it into a rectangle!  I stamped a sentiment for the front:

and another for the inside, and my card was finished!

I am also going to enter this at the Double D Challenge this week, as their theme is sunflowers, and the Shopping Our Stash challenge, which is flowers!!

I am sure you'll be able to find some inspiration from our prompt this week...just be sure that your stamps are at least a year old, and be sure to tell us their age!  Can't wait to see what you create!  Check out what the other team members did over at Retro Rubber!

FMS501 Trick or Treat

Hey there, everyone!  Happy Labor Day!  A lazy day here in the Pugliese household, but I did manage to squeak in a card using the fun FMS sketch for this week:

Those Cute Halloween DSPs were calling my name!

I started by stamping a plaid piece from the retired Buffalo Check stamp in Pumpkin Pie, then added layers of Basic Black and Cute Halloween.  These little faces just crack me up, and they're easy to fussy-cut!

I stamped the "trick or treat" from Little Delights and wonky-snipped them out and layered them on a banner I created from two diecut banners (Tasteful Labels) glued together at the center:

Quick and easy!  My Halloween stash is pretty low, so this will be a great start to building it up!

Dana and Wayne are doing some remodeling in their family room and Cassidy helped Wayne with the new flooring....even with her boot on!

Can't wait to see the finished product!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TTTC106 Easter Blessings

Hello again, stampers!  Time for a new Tic Tac Toe challenge...I am the hostess this week and here is the grid I've chosen:

I am just obsessed with the sentiment from W+9's Spring Blessings set....I love the font, it is just so pretty!  And here is how I incorporated it today, using the right column of Leaves, Green and Die Cut:

I found this pretty wreath embossing folder in my stash and thought it would be fun to make an Easter egg wreath, but that was an epic fail, LOL!  So I cut an oval out of the center and backed it with a panel stamped with the Buffalo Check stamp in Soft Seafoam and added the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz to match the embossed panel:

I went to my Pierced Blooms die, cut out several flowers and leaves and placed them around the edge of the opening to create a pretty floral ensemble:

For some extra sparkle, I diecut some Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper for the centers and added some Old Olive Linen thread as a ribbon.  This is just about it for my Easter card stamping....although I still have lots more ideas, so I am not promising anything, LOL!  But I do hope you'll come over to the Tic Tac Toe challenge blog and play with my grid this week!  Can't wait to see what you create!

IB167 Spring into Color

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Look at today's lovely spring confection from Inspired By:

And here's the optional sketch:

I am a wee bit embarrassed to admit that I have NO tulip stamps or dies!!!  But I did find this gorgeous DSP from the Flower for All Seasons that featured similar colors, so I went full speed ahead with it:

For my layout, I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I began by stamping a sentiment from one of SU's very first photopolymer stamps, Endless Birthday Wishes, in Magenta Madness and matted it on a piece of Magenta Madness cardstock that had been embossed with the Stitched With Whimsy die that I fussy-cut around the stitching.  I also added a few little flower sprigs from the DSP as well:

The scalloped portion at the bottom is Mint Macaron, stamped with the Buffalo Check stamp and diecut with the retired Seasonal Layers die; a little Mint Macaron ribbon adds some sheen:

It's a bit bold, but so is our inspiration photo!  It's fun to go out of one's comfort zone occasionally!  I hope you'll be inspired by our spring tulips this week and play along with us!  Check out what the DT did at the Inspired By blog as well!  Thanks for popping in today!
