Paper Players Blog Hop!!
Happy Saturday! Are you surprised to see a Paper Players post on a Saturday? It’s a special event—a Paper Players Blog Hop! All the PP designers are showing off some of their best creations….and some of them may even have blog candy! You’ll see ALL the Players at the bottom of this post. So be sure to stop and visit every blog! You’ll still be able to play along tomorrow at the Paper Players home blog too, so don’t miss it!
So, here’s my creation! I did not think of this myself; the main construction was all the brainchild of Sarah Miller, who is a very creative stamper! You can see her card here. I just added a little touch of my own:
CANDY!!! Woohoo, who doesn’t love candy? I used SU’s little cello bags (50 for $2.50—what a bargain!) and gave him some Reeses Pieces legs! I think he could run a mile with these! I will share more details about how he is constructed tomorrow—so be sure to stop back! Now, on to the Blog Hop! Here are all the players:
LeAnne Pugliese (You are here)
Check out any or all of the designers to see what they created….and see if they have blog candy! Here is mine:
I am offering up Playful Pieces, a retired hostess set….and I’ll throw in a few other (surprise) goodies too! Just leave me a comment with contact information and I’ll randomly pick a winner next week. PLEASE—if you do not leave me your contact info, I may not be able to tell you if you’re the winner!
Thanks for visiting…again, be sure to check out the other Players’ blogs for all their cool creations!

BLOG CANDY WINNER!
Thank you so much to all who participated in the blog candy giveaway. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed reading about your favorite memories. Not only did it help me get to know my readers better, but it was FUN! Many of you remembered spending time with your grandparents, which makes me even more glad to be babysitting my own grandchild! I hope she has pleasant memories when she gets older! Lots of you mentioned camping, playing outside, being with family, reading, cooking, eating, and going to the beach. Here are a few of my favorites:
- Marissa remembers going to the beach in a Cessna plane, but having to scare the cows away from the field before they could land!
- jaymack remembers when her sister ran after a rabbit she thought was the Easter bunny, ran into a fence and knocked herself out!
- Linda’s mom wrapped little goodies like a coin or a thimble in waxed paper and baked them inside a cake – what a joy to find that little treasure!
- Gina remembers the Easter bunny bringing her sand toys, and now he brings them to her son!
- Carol L remembers getting a dime from her Pop Pop for every A on her report card!
- and Deb Buckminster remembers getting a Chatty Cathy doll for Christmas! (Something I always wanted!!!)
What great memories! But I guess you’d like to know who won, right? Out of a hat, my husband chose America! Here is her memory:
“Some favorite Childhood memories are of how I loved staying back to spend my time around home with my two wonderful Great Grandmas while the rest of the kids were busy going places. As an adult, I loved spending time with my beautiful Grandparents who raised me. Sadly, they are not around anymore, but I hold on tightly to their loving memories and all the special moments. Thank you for asking. :)”
America has a wonderful blog, too….lots of beautiful House Mouse images on her cards! America, please get in touch with me and I’ll get your goodies out ASAP! Thanks again to all of you faithful followers and for your kind comments!

This & That and some Blog Candy
Hey everyone! I had an extremely busy weekend, so I haven’t had a chance to stamp a thing! I did go to the Heirloom Stamp Show in Allentown, PA and got to meet one of my blog friends, Doris, of The Stamping Tower:
Here we are with her friend Jackie:
and with my friend & downline, Lesley (marleygo on SCS) :
We saw lots of people we knew; I was absolutely thrilled that some people recognized me from my blog and graciously introduced themselves, and we just had a lot of fun!!!
I promised that once I hit 300 readers, I’d have some BLOG CANDY! So here we go! I seem to be caught up in a vintage theme lately…I just love to see children’s retro and vintage images and old-fashioned themes in cards and projects, and even though I know some of you are not “vintage”, I know you still have memories of your childhood!!! I grew up on a farm, and after we worked in our garden, we were allowed to go swimming in our pond!!! What a great time that was—we had a big wooden raft, a dock with a sliding board and my dad even put in a cement pad so that my mom could sit at the edge in her beach chair!!! So leave me a comment here about your favorite childhood memory….whether it be an Easter memory, another holiday celebration, summer vacation, whatever! I have three current Stampin’Up! hostess items (plus whatever else I might throw in the package) shown here to give to a random winner:
The sets are Silhouette Sentiments and Birthday Bakery, and a 6x6” In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper pack. (Sorry, I can only ship to US & Canada). You have until Friday midnight, April 15, to respond. Edited to add: you MUST include an email address in some way to be eligible....if I cannot contact you, I won't be able to mail you your goodies!
I went to my grand-nephew’s first birthday party yesterday….he was the popular man of the day, and so surrounded by his aunties that I wasn’t able to get a single picture of him! But of course, I did get a couple of Cassidy:
Hope you have a wonderful day! Can’t wait to hear from you!

CELEBRATE says it all! The CTD has been challenging all you stampers and crafters out there 100 times and that is cause to celebrate!! This is one blog hop that you will not want to miss!!! We’ve asked some of our past Guest Designers to participate this week and have over $1500 worth of donated goodies to give away! We are EXCITED! All the details of how to play can be found at the CTD blog and there are some deets at the end of this post. Okay, phew, let’s get to the good stuff!

AND I’ll throw in my projects for this week, along with some surprise goodies too; whatever I find lurking around my shelves or drawers that looks like it might be fun!! Here are a couple little peeks of just a few more items:
And what are my projects this week? Since everybody loves to celebrate with cupcakes, what better than to make some cupcakes---a couple of cupcake cards, that is, along with a little box to hold some of those goodies!
My first card uses some new SU sets, including Itty Bitty Bits, and a Level 2 Hostess set called Longfellows:
Can’t you just see this little guy “dreaming” about cupcakes? They’re all glittered up:
and I even put a couple on the inside:
FUN!
My second card uses the Mojo Monday sketch:
and uses SU’s Crazy for Cupcakes:
Some more glitter! The background is also from Itty Bitty Bits; sentiment is from Short & Sweet!
Next up is a card in the shape of a cupcake!!
This uses a template from SCS, some paper from Cosmo Cricket and a yummy cherry, punched from some Real Red cardstock with a little black hemp twine stem!!! Here’s the inside:
And last, a little pizza box (Jen DelMuro’s pattern is also on SCS) that will be holding a few little goodies:
The box is Baja Breeze cardstock, wheeled with the Cornelli Lace jumbo wheel; DP is from Basic Grey; cupcake and sentiment are from PTI. Check out that blingy cherry!!!
SO----we want you to play along with us! Check out the CTD blog for all the details! Then leave me some comments on my post and you’ll be entered to win my prizes---one comment per person, please! And please be sure to leave me your email address!!!! If you win, and I can’t contact you, I’ll choose another winner!!! But there are LOTS more prizes!!! Check out the list below, visit all the other CTD designers as well as some past Guest Designers, and leave comments on their posts for more chances to win!! GOOD STUFF! Can you tell I am excited? I am just bummed that I can’t win any of it! Here is the list – there is no particular order, you can visit any or all to leave your comments! You have until Monday, July 12 at 11:59 to play! CAS66
I am soooooo far behind in everything today….I feel like I cannot get anything accomplished! I did manage to stamp a few CAS Father’s Day cards, but still need to put some poems or sentiments or something inside. These will be for my Curves basket; the ladies really seem to like cards that are NOT blank on the inside, so I have to step it up a bit! Both cards use the CAS 66 sketch challenge on SCS today. My first one uses a set from H&M stamps, and I made a little “scene” by stamping and masking my images:
I realize that the Copics I used on this one don’t exactly match my SU DP!! Oh well! The next one uses a cabin scene from Stampscapes:
This was a fast card, but it looked a bit plain….but once I sponged on the Bashful Blue around the sky and lake, it looked better….tied it into the DP as well. I don’t like masculine cards to be too fussy, so I just added a little bit of linen thread on this one.
I also wanted to show you some more cards I received lately. This Easter beauty is from my friend Athena and her family:
And a clever punch-out owl card from Kathy:
And I was blessed by winning the Crafty Secrets Papercraft Planet blog candy, from Diane and Jan!!! Diane made my beautiful card, and decorated the gift tins; Jan sent some 3D shadowbox frames like the one I did here. THANK YOU SO MUCH, ladies!!!
As always, if you have any questions about anything I’ve used in my creations, just send me an email! Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day! Now I need to go CLEAN UP my stamp room! Edited to add: the vellum diecut on Diane's card is the Shapeabilities Lotus Pendant!

Long Post: Blog Candy Winner and a Rabbit Show
Over the past weekend, one of my projects at the retreat was to make a set of notecards to donate to my sister’s Rabbit Show. Now the girls that I was stamping with thought the term “Rabbit Show” was the most hysterical thing they ever heard of! Growing up in a farm/4H mentality, I was familiar with “shows”—but I guess they weren’t! Anyway, after her daughter began raising rabbits for 4H, my sister became actively involved with the Pennsylvania Rabbit Breeders Association as well as the 4H group, and during their convention this weekend (snow or not!), they will have a little fundraiser table, so that’s what my card set is for! Her rabbits are soooo cute and often win ribbons at her “shows”!! But before I show you that, I want to announce the winner of my blog candy from this post! All the ideas were great---most of them involved some bling, glitter and CANDY! It was hard to choose the best idea, so I just did a random pull and Sherry Bee was the winner!!! SO she will be getting the Cuddles & Hugs set!
On to the Rabbit Show stuff—here is the basket, not decorated yet, but I am running out of time:
Yes, the Love box is included, along with a post-it note holder and pen:
The newly-blinged up Love box (I did add a little tiny bit of bling in the form of some heart-shaped rhinestones I found and some flat hologram stickers and of course, candy!):
And the note cards, all made with Cosmo Cricket papers and the absolutely adorable PTI set, Tiny Treats: Valentine. Here are all ten, real quick:
And of course, a bunny!
That’s it for now…..I have a couple other things on deck. We are gearing up for a major snow storm this weekend—I am psyched!!! Have a great Friday, everyone!
