Happy Thursday, everyone! How can it be Thursday already?! I had a few free minutes to stamp yesterday, so I made a thank-you card for a customer using Rita’s Freshly Made Sketches sketch:
Rita always has wonderful sketches! I just love this new Strawberry Slush color featured on this particular Quatrefancy DP:
I mixed it with a couple of the other new In Colors, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe, to make my 4 1/4” square card. The banners were stamped with images from Mosaic Madness, and the circular element is from A Round Array and Mosaic Madness. The bird image is from Animal Talk! And of course, the inside features the corresponding sentiment:
A perfect sentiment for a sweet customer!
We are all suffering from spring colds and allergies, Cassidy included. Plus, we are all trying to “encourage” her to potty train! After a particularly trying morning, and a little 15-minute meltdown, I took her out for a swing because it was just too nice of a day to stay inside. We didn’t make it too long:
I took her out, rocked her on the porch rocker for about two minutes and she was out like a light!

Paper Players 138
Hi there, peeps! Happy Palm Sunday to you all! Anne Marie has an awesome sketch for the Paper Players today…this one just made me smile, it has great opportunity for lots of papers and/or images!
Since Anne Marie is such a pet lover, I couldn’t help but use a little image from Animal Talk, along with some much-neglected Comfort CafĂ© DP:
I cut apart the dog image from the main sentiment, which made it a bit easier to stamp and paper piece!!! He is stamped on a piece of Cajun Craze Patterns DP and I added white highlights with a white gel pen. For the banner sentiment, I just masked off the part I didn’t want, and stamped it in Midnight Muse, adding some periods……
and just finished the sentence on the inside, along with some additional embellishments:
You can see I used some zig zag diecuts from the Tasteful Trim die, and perhaps you can see the zig zag embossing on the right front of the card, done with the Borders Scoring Plate! My woodgrain panel is from the Natural Composition Specialty paper line, which qualifies my card for the City Crafter Challenge 151 this week, which is woodgrain! And I also used a little woodgrain button from the mini catalog, along with some denim ribbon.
I hope you find this sketch enticing and hope you’ll play along with us this week! You can find all the other samples as well at the Paper Players blog!
We are great fans of Inner Child Fun after seeing Valerie on one of my local news programs one morning….she has lots of fun crafts that are easy to do. I decided to make a sponge bomb from this video but when I banded it together, Cassidy got upset….she just wanted to play with the sponges! So I took it apart and she used them like blocks!
She is just so proud of herself!!!! Thanks for visiting today!

ColourQ 177
Happy Tuesday, peeps! Arielle has an adorable inspiration for her ColourQ today:
Just makes me grin all over! I immediately thought of the little dog in Animal Talk, and I remembered some plaid DP I had in a Christmas stack:
I stamped the image and sentiment in Cherry Cobbler, then again on a scrap in Stazon, then colored it with markers, cut it out and popped it up:
I added a fun ribbon and jumbo eyelet embellishment, and finished it with the matching sentiment on the inside:
What can you create with these fun colors? Jump on over to the ColourQ blog where you’ll see the other amazing creations from the Courtiers!! And be sure to share yours with us as well!
My friend Martha sent me a cute little moustache card, which Cassidy found fascinating:
She put it on the floor and told me it was a tent!!!
Smart kid!
Enjoy your week….I will be taking a blogging vacation for several days, so I’ll see you back here at the beginning of March!!!

Cards For Fun
Happy Saturday, peeps! I am on my new computer, which is wonderful, but there is definitely a learning curve and it is taking me a while to figure out all the bells and whistles. Today I am just sharing a couple of cards I made lately, no challenges, just for friends and family.
This first one is a thank you for a friend who gave me a lovely birthday present. Again I used some of those yummy MME papers I had laying on my desk; I made a cool chipboard element with some cardboard from my DP package and a Nestie:
The second one is a birthday card for my niece, who LOVES dogs:
It uses the new SU set, Animal Talk! The inside says “Dog talk for Happy Birthday”!!! Cute!
Hope you all have a happy Saturday---be sure to come back tomorrow for the Paper Players challenge!
