Mojo 437 and SIP37 Thanks

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Wow, this week is zipping by!  In between playing outside yesterday (it was beautiful here in SE PA) and hanging out laundry, I got in a little stamping time, using the sketch from Mojo Monday and the challenge at Stamp Ink Paper...I used felt!
SIP Challenge 37 Wood, Cork, Felt 800
I am still playing around with the beautiful papers from my friend Teri; this polka dot background pattern is from Story Time by Studio Calico, and I incorporated the leftover flowers from my Paper Players card here to make this sunny card:

I punched a strip from Pool Party with my Heart border punch and backed it with some Lost Lagoon, then stamped the sentiment from Another Thank You in So Saffron, Soft Sky and Pumpkin Pie:

I stamped some Timeless Texture on the sunflower center in White craft ink and added a couple of felt leaves from the Flower Fair dies:

Now, it's all ready to go out in the mail!  Thanks for popping by today!

A little scooter fun before school.....the rest of the week is going to be wet and cold, so we wanted to take advantage of the warm temps!  Just a teaser, winter is STILL here!

MTS108 Thanks

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  I am squeaking in a card for the Match the Sketch challenge:

and I am using some new stuff and some old stuff!  Here we go:

I was really tempted to use the Window Frame thinlit, but a lot of people used that, so I thought I would go in a different direction!  I did use some new DSP from the Love Blossoms line, but I added a embossed panel (Softly Falling) and some punched butterflies....white on white looks so nice against this Rose Red floral, don't you think?

I added a little "thanks" from Another Thank You photopolymer set and plopped it atop my little banners made of another Love Blossoms DSP and Whisper White cardstock:

Thanks for popping in today!

No Cassidy pix today, sorry....you'll have to look at some snow!

Poor Dana - we had to shovel out her car; it was totally enclosed in snow!  She had a good attitude for the most part, though!

John's garage doors were blocked:

Here's just one pile of snow....and an overhanging avalanche ready to slide off the shed roof!

Too bad we can't save some of it to cool us off in the middle of the summer!!

SIP27 and FMS217 Thank You, Deer

Hi, everyone!  My card today is for two challenges:  the Stamp, Ink Paper "thanks" challenge, and the Freshly Made Sketches sketch from my sweet friend Linda!  Here's the sketch

I just happened to need a thank you card for a gift I received recently and that gave me a chance to use some of these wonderful Kaiser Craft Home for Christmas papers and a Tim Holtz deer diecut:

After cutting the deer from a scrap of Crumb Cake, I stamped him (no antlers---perhaps it's a her?) with a Hero Arts Christmas Background stamp, then overstamped that with SU's Linen background stamp, THEN did some shading with Soft Suede and finally stamped some gold speckles on him as well.  The sentiment is from SU's Another Thank You, stamped in Gold Encore ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I added some ribbon trim and a little gold thread around his neck, and mounted it on a Crumb Cake card base.  I sponged around the edges of the print DSP as well!  Love the vintage look!  And you can't see it, but the dark green paper has shiny embossing on it...lots of great texture on this card!  Thanks for popping in today!

Cookie decorating meets engineering when Cassidy's at the helm!  Who knew you could build a tower from sugar sprinkles?!

Hi everyone!  Yippee, it’s Thursday and that means the weekend is almost here!  I heard it might be 87 degrees on Mother’s Day!!  Yikes!  I always wait until Mother’s Day to put in my annuals….I think I could have done it a bit earlier this year!

I have a quick little thank you card using some retired items and the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday sketch:

Of course, AFTER I finished my card, I realized I didn’t have the sentiment in the right place….oh well!  This card uses Kind & Cozy, which is retiring, and Back to Black DSP along with a diecut border using one of the Finishing Touches edgelits (also retiring):

I used some non-SU dies for the scallop and circles, and the sentiments are from Another Thank You:

This one will be going out in the mail ASAP!  Thanks for popping by today!

Oh, the changing moods of a 4YO!  Who can be crabby when eating mint chocolate chip ice cream?

Happy Thursday, peeps!  The weekend is almost here, yippee!  And yesterday brought beautiful sunshine and warmer temps…finally!  I snuck in some stamping time before Cassidy came home from preschool, playing with the Freshly Made Sketches sketch to make a customer thank-you:

I had these Lullaby and Park Lane papers laying on my desk for something…..can’t remember what…so I used them!  I cut my Hello Honey card base a little narrower than normal so that it would still fit in a standard-sized envelope with the tag hanging off the edge:

I added a panel from the In Color Background papers in Pistachio Pudding, stamped some flowers from Flower Patch in Coastal Cabana and Soft Suede, and made a fun tassel from some baker’s twine.   Since my club girls will be doing some embossing techniques this month, I heat-embossed the sentiment from Another Thank You with Versamark and Soft Suede inks and clear embossing powder:

Can you see the shine?  I made an extra card for them since this one is going in the mail!

It’s April….still only April…..but Cassidy was so thrilled that it was warmer outside, she came out of her bedroom dressed like this:

She conned Grampy into giving her a tub to make a pool (she actually wanted us to put up our inflatable pool….NOT yet!!!) and she stuck her feet in and then hopped back out!!  Silly girl!

Enjoy your day!

Silhouette Birds

DSCF9164

Sneaking in here on a Saturday afternoon; I rewarded myself with some stamping time after doing a little house cleaning…..do you do that?  Work some, play (read: stamp) some!  I wanted to play with the Kraft Journal’s Nature/Earth Day theme this week, but didn't get around to it, so here it is!  I used a Graphics Fairy image of some silhouetted birds, since Karen is looking for cards made with her graphics, and printed them on some parchment paper I snagged at a yard sale:

I mounted them on a panel of Crumb Cake with a retired Cornish Heritage Farms backgrounder that I stamped  in white craft ink and then I added a flower I created using tissue paper that was in my last Paper Pumpkin!  It is fun to recycle stuff!  You can’t see it too well, but the center is a brad topped with a little pearl; the sentiment is from Another Thank You.

Someone did something really nice  for me yesterday and this will be going to that certain someone!  I am truly blessed!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Mojo Monday 392

DSCF9046

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I hope your week is going well!  I had some stamping time in my craft room yesterday and decided to play with the Mojo Monday sketch, one I haven’t done for a while!

I am still making thank you cards, and still trying to use up some of my DSP stash!  This combo is a wee bit busy but I loved the color combination in the Flowerpot and Flashback DSPs:

I stamped some florals from Flower Shop in Real Red and Crushed Curry and mounted them on a Very Vanilla circle, added some twine, banners and a little “thanks” from the photopolymer set Another Thank You:

This will be going out in the mail today!

Cassidy learned how to make cracker pizzas in school, so she taught me how to make them:  a couple crackers, a little sauce, a wee bit of mozzarella and 20 seconds in the microwave:

Yum!  Now they’re Grampy’s new favorite snack too!

Enjoy your day!

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  One more day of Sale-a-bration, woohoo!  It was a busy month for me!  I did squeeze in some stamping time yesterday to play with Mary Jo’s Technostamper  sketch:

I was a bit stumped as to what to do with this All Abloom DSP, but when I saw the sketch, I thought it would be fun to reverse the panels and use a floral for the right side:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Summer Silhouettes Thank You Stampin Up

I tore a couple of strips of cardstock for a little visual interest and stamped the leafy images from Summer Silhouettes in Pistachio Pudding on the left, and added a little Lost Lagoon strip underneath, then finished it with some Lost Lagoon ribbon.  My sentiment was stamped on a piece of white cardstock which I diecut with my Chalk Talk die, and I lightly stamped the same leaf on it as well before stamping my sentiment:

The little flower is from the same set!  I will be needing lots of thank you cards for some new customers, so you’ll be seeing more of them in the future!  And most of them will be simple, so they’ll be easily duplicated!

A playdoh moustache!

Mojo 367 Thanks

DSCF5686

Just a quick post today; I used the Mojo Monday sketch for a fun thank you card!  Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Hello Darling Thank You Stampin UP

Looking at it here, it looks a wee bit busy….but it’s really pretty IRL, LOL!  I used some scraps of Gold Soiree and the Hello Darling stamp set for my upper panel.  The “sequins” were stamped in Gold Encore ink, and although it’s hard to tell here, the big scallops are Brushed Gold cardstock.  I little bit of Crisp Cantaloupe baker’s twine from SAB finished it off!

This poor little baby doll is one of Cassidy’s favorites.  Today she was feeding it – play-doh food!!!

She was quite intent on her task, too!

Have a blessed day!
