CCMC362 and CTS130

DSCF0703

Happy 4th of July everyone!  Wishing all my American friends an awesome day!  A lot of birthdays popped up in my reminder calendar, so I thought I’d better get to work!  I never seem to have enough masculine cards, so I thought the color challenge from Create with Connie & Mary was a good one, and appropriate for today:

CCMC362

and I incorporated it with the sketch from CAS(e) This Sketch:

I used the image from Amazing Birthday, stamping it in Lost Lagoon and Real Red and did some old-fashioned “cut and paste”!!

Stars were from Something to Say, and the birthday sentiment is from Sprinkles of Life.  I cut the banner with the Banner Triple punch, adding a Lost Lagoon mat.

I used the Delicate Designs die and EF (retired) to create the edge on the white panel, and embossed my Crumb Cake card base with the Large Polka Dot EF.  I love the dots AND the colors!!!  Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy went to a wedding a wee bit back, and had fun dancing with her little girlfriend!  Their dresses even matched a bit!

Enjoy your day! Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge, too!

Happy Friday, peeps!  Happy May Day!  Just a quick, CAS card for you today…check out this CAS(e) This Sketch sketch:

I got this idea from a card on page 4 of the Occasions catalog, and I was excited to try it out.  One of my club projects this month used the Stacked With Love DSP, so I had all these little strips left over.  I colored the white portions of all the strips with various colors of markers, except for Pistachio Pudding…since I didn’t have a PP marker, I just laid the strip face down on the foam and pressed it gently into the ink…worked like a charm!  Here we go:

I stamped some background interest with Craft White ink and Gorgeous Grunge, and although you can’t see it too well here, I hand-stitched the panel on to the card and added a bow.  The sentiment is from Amazing Birthday (one I never inked up before!!!), I colored it with markers and stamped some polka dots on top from Festival of Trees:

And it’s tough to see, but the white banner is Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper…very cool-looking IRL! Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy treats her dolls just as if they were real people and she wants real experiences!  Here, she is “potty-training” her Baby Alive doll, complete with having the toy potty in the bathroom.  She wanted food-coloring in the water she was feeding her, but I drew the line at that!

She’ll be a good mommy some day!

Paper Players 226

DSCF7074
Happy Sunday, everyone!  The Paper Players are back!  We have new designers added to our team as well as new Guest Designers, so we are excited to start 2015!  Anne Marie is back from her little break and she has a theme challenge for us to help us clean out our craft areas:
I love to recycle things, and I have had this little tag sitting in my scrappy pile for, oh, a couple of years probably!!  It was from something DH got, I believe:
DSCF7072
I recycled it into a tag for one of the Petite Café bags, because I always am in need of masculine gifty things:

I covered the bag front with some of the new, very cool Adventure Bound DSP from the new Occasions mini, and then I began to alter the tag a bit:
DSCF7073
I traced the tag on Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped it with the retired background stamp, Canvas, then used Amazing Birthday to stamp the other elements in Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso.  I even used the leather string from the tag to tie my bag together!

So, what can you recycle or reuse for your project this week?  We can’t wait to see!  Check out what the other designers created as well:

Mojo 373

DSCF6429

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Are you gearing up for Thanksgiving?  The weather is supposed to be “iffy” today; hopefully it will clear up by tomorrow!  I have lots of birthdays coming up next month for which I need cards, so I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this week to get started:

It’s a tall and skinny challenge, so I made a 6 x 3 1/2” card, using Amazing Birthday in lots of bright colors:

The diagonal panel was embossed with the Lucky Stars EF; I paper-pieced the various portions of the stamp, then added some sequins and stars to jazz it up a bit!  A little twine bow finished it off!

I used the same colors on the inside sentiment too:

Now I need to make a custom envelope for it!  Thanks for visiting today!

CYCI43

DSCF6077
While at Sandy’s last week, we found a new challenge, Can You Case It?  At least it was new to me!  Here’s the sketch from this week:
CYCI #43
I needed a nice “just because” card, so I searched through some of my papers and found a couple of pretty pieces from the Lullaby DSP line, so I went to work:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Papillon Potpourri Just Because Stampin Up
I pulled out the colors of Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana and Hello Honey for my layers and elements.  The vertical panel is the banner from Amazing Birthday, which I trimmed down; and the butterflies are from Papillion Potpourri. I stamped the sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts on a torn piece of Pistachio Pudding, then colored some pearls gold with a retired Zig Painty pen and added some gold baker’s twine:

I love the combination of colors in this paper!

In keeping with her propensity to line things up, Cassidy decided to string up the pumpkins on our porch:

FMS160 x Two

DSCF6024

I have two very clean, simple and quick cards today, both using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch from this week:

I had this leaf image from Lovely as a Tree stamped, colored and sitting on my desk, discarded from another project, so I put it to use on this fall-themed card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Lovely as a Tree Gratitude Stampin Up

I used some scraps of DSP for the background; the sentiment is from Project Life Holiday Cheer, and the circle was stamped with the striped banner from Amazing Birthday, once going in one direction, and then stamped again going in the other direction, to make a gingham look.  I then punched it out with a 1” circle punch.

My next card is more whimsical; I used an Avery Elle stamp set called Thankful, and I am thankful, because I won it from my sweet friend Lisa

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Acorn Thankful 2

My card base is Pumpkin Pie; I stamped the acorn in Early Espresso (although it looks green here!) on a piece of gingham paper from Simple Stories’ Harvest Lane DSP and fussy-cut it out.  The other papers are from the same line.  I turned the sketch on its side so that the little bird would be facing the right way!!  The sentiment is from Good Greetings.  Thanks for visiting!

I tried hard to get a good photo of Cassidy’s cute outfit, but she was like the Energizer bunny yesterday….you’ll have to take my word for how cute this little skirt was!!

DSCF5604

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I had a little bit of free time to stamp yesterday!   The Stampin’ Royalty has a beautiful color challenge this week:

and Mary Jo’s Technostamper’s challenge is a fun sketch:
So here we go!

I combined several sets here, along with some embossing, punching and bows!!  Here’s a closeup:

DSCF5605

I’ll list the ingredients at the end.  And here’s a laugh:  I assembled the entire thing and realized I had it upside down!!  You’ve never done that, right?!   A little snip and remount, and it’s all better!  Thanks for visiting today!

It’s off!  The cast got a little buzz with the saw:

DSCF1991

Ooops!  A little slip by the nurse; she was more frightened than anything, as the saw doesn’t cut the skin:

DSCF1993

Prying it off:

DSCF1994

She said “My arm is cold!!”  (Plus this is a fake pout, LOL)

DSCF1998

A little cajoling by the surgeon and out popped a smile!

Now, she needs a good, long, hot BATH!  Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts, prayers and well-wishes while her arm healed!!!

TSSC332 Simple Birthday

DSCF5166

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I have a quick little card for you today for someone special’s birthday!  I used the Monday lunchtime sketch from Technostamper:

Card base is Coastal Cabana; I added a doily and sentiments and images from Amazing Birthday, which I stamped in Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Coastal Cabana:

I added a banner and star of silver glimmer paper and a bit of Dazzling Diamonds glitter as well:

Simple and easy!  Hope my friend likes it!

My little ragamuffin (she just got up from her nap and her hair was a mess!) was helping Grampy do some chalk artwork, and decided to decorate herself as well!

I  had LOTS of fun getting off all the chalk from her legs, LOL!  Enjoy your day!
