Just One Tent Away...with a Want2Scrap Overlay

Hello Want2Scrap fans - it is Linda here today - thank you for stopping by! I am sharing a layout created using one of Want2Scraps 12x12 Overlays! I have to be honest and say, it was the title that drew me to this overlay - I think most of us have felt like this at times - or is that just me!?! LOL!

I have started by adhering my photos behind the overlay using E-Z Permanent Adhesive Runner and patterned paper behind the sentiment.

I have added stickers to create banners and personalised using alphabet stickers to co-ordinate with the theme of the layout.  Enamel Dots 8MM Stone size - Turquoise have been randomly added onto the layout to make it pop.  Just a few simple additions and the layout is complete - it really is that easy!

I have added Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Gold Photo Corners that have been lightly sanded and sponged using Teal Zeal ink and a sponge dauber, to give the appearance of chevrons.

Want2Scrap Supplies:

Other: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner; 3D Foam Squares; Gold Photo Corners; Patterned Paper; Imagine: Memento in Teal Zeal, Alphabet Stickers; Kaisercraft: patterned paper;  White Paint; White Gel pen; Stickers; Sanding Block; Beacon Adhesive: Zip Dry Liquid Glue

Thanks so much for stopping by and the lovely comments you leave - they are appreciated.  I hope you are inspired to  use Want2Scrap Overlays with your scrapbooking.

Want2Scrap Outdoor Boy Layout with Chipboard and Stencil

Hello Want2Scrap fans - it is Linda here today - thank you for stopping by! I am sharing a layout  created using Want2Scrap Chipboard and a stencil and I have so many photos of my precious Grandson to scrapbook and love all that Want2Scrap offer - it makes it so much easier - and is so inspiring - you have to love that!

The Gear Corners 2 Pack Chipboard Embellishment has been sponged using Shimmering Silver and Golden Glitz to create a metallic look.  It has then been adhered to the top right hand corner using Beacon Adhesive: Zip Dry Liquid Glue.

The Film Strip (4 pack) - Chipboard Embellishment has been sponged using Teal Zeal  and Wedding Dress.  The edges have been defined using a White Gel Pen.  It has been adhered to the lower left portion of layout using liquid glue.  The letters have been sanded around the edges and popped up inside the firm strip using  3D Foam Squares.

Now for the photos - all three have been cut/embossed using the Pierced Squares Etched Dies and lightly sanded around the edges - love the look that gives.  They have been overlapped onto each other and adhered using double sided tape.

The 'sentiment' stickers have been sanded around the edges and centered above the photos, tilting the second letter.

Using the Brick Stencils, Crackle Paste has been added around the photos - in both big and small sections - the stencils wash clean with warm soapy water.  Stenciling is such a a great effect and very quick and easy - so many mediums can be used - ink, paint, gesso just to name a few.

I have added Corrugated cardboard, sticker sentiments, brads and paint splatters to personalise and finish off.

I have sponged the Film Strip (4 pack) - Chipboard Embellishment using Teal Zeal ink and a sponge dauber.  Next I have added random splatters of white and yellow to the strip. The photos have been cut slightly larger than the opening and adhered using double sided tape.  They have been adhered to the layout onto two layered of patterned paper using liquid glue.

The Be Happy Be Bright Be You - Chipboard - Chipboard Quotations has been sponged using Teal Zeal and irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Shimmer added over the top.  Once it has dried it has been adhered next to the Film Strip using Beacon Adhesive: Zip Dry Liquid Glue.

I have stamped the star from the Faded Fragments  onto the patterned paper in both Teal Zeal and Electric Yellow, colouring the Teal Zeal using a Yellow Gel Pen.

I have cut/embossed the Robo Stars using blue card stock.  The Stars have been stamped using the Seth Apter Rain Drops Stamp and adhered to the layout; as shown in the main photo; outlining them all with a blue glitter pen for definition.

The Smile Camera and Banner using kraft card stock and sponged using Teal Zeal and Electric Yellow; silver foil has been adhered behind the flash opening and a 72 Count - Silver/Clear Rhinestones - Self Adhesive has been adhered to the lens opening.  The camera and sentiment have been adhere using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Yellow Buttons have been adhered using Beacon Adhesive: Zip Dry Liquid Glue and Enamel Dots 8MM Stone Size - Turquoise have been adhered to the centre of the buttons - a fun way to create an embellishment.  Enamel Dots 8MM Stone Size -Yellow have been randomly added to the layout.

Want2Scrap and Quick Quotes Inspiration Week Continues!

Hello and welcome!  Susie here today to share a layout I created by combining a chipboard quote from Want2Scrap with the Honeycomb Collection from Quick Quotes!  These papers have the perfect colors for scrapping your fall pictures - oranges, blues, greens and creamy off white!  I had to use them to scrap this picture of my daughter's first trip to the pumpkin patch!
I started by typing my journaling straight onto the page then began distressing, inking and layering the papers.  I used Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalking Inks to lightly stamp some falling leaves on the background.
Here's a close-up. You can see I used more than one color for the stamped images before adding a die cut leaf cut from the bright orange paper in the collection.
I created an oversized photo mat from the patterned paper to really frame that precious photo.
Creating the title using a chipboard quote from Want2Scrap was the easiest part!  I love the rustic feel you get from the natural chipboard but I wanted a slightly different color. I used clear embossing powder to make the color a bit richer and then added it to my page as the perfect finishing touch!

Heat Embossing your Title!

Susie here today with a mixed media layout featuring a title made with one of Want2Scrap's Fancy Chipboard Words and a little embossing powder!
I created a textured background using modeling paste and the brick stencil from Want2Scrap, using ink to blend it into the background.  I layered on papers and embellishments before topping things off with pictures of my mother-in-law from 2 very different times of her life.

I created the title by applying dark brown ink to the Fancy Chipboard Word and then added clear heat embossing. It is so easy to alter Want2Scrap chipboard using paints, inks and embossing powders.  You can quickly create a custom embellishment to match your layouts and projects!
I tucked a piece of LeCreme Swirls Finesse behind some ephemera and it is done!

Here's a close up of the photo of my mother-in-law as a young girl.  What a cutie!

Be sure to check out the Want2Scrap online store to find the perfect chipboard title for your layout!

A Want2Scrap Christmas Layout

Susie here on this fine Christmas morning!  I hope you are all enjoying special time with your families!  I just wanted to pop in and share a quick Christmas layout I created featuring some wonderful Want2Scrap  products:  Fancy Chipboard Words and Bling!
The papers are from the Tidings Collection by Authentique Paper.  It is a really different kind of Christmas collection.  The papers have a kraft paper base that mixes well with the traditional reds and greens of the season.  What I really appreciate is that Authentique uses the same base colors every year.  What that means is that I can take this year's release and mix it with collections from years past!
I used one of the cute cut apart cards as a caption for the photo and then embellishedalong the bottom edge with a string of hearts ribbon.  I used self-adhesive red rhinestone bling from Want2Scrap to embellish my embellishment!  Next I covered one of the Fancy Chipboard Words with red glitter.
Here's a close up of a simple embellishment cluster above the photo.  It makes me giggle because it looks like the horns are coming out of his head!  (I guess he is a little naughty!)
Merry Christmas and I hope you find some time to play today!

Sparkle with Want2Scrap Baby Bling!

Hello everybody - Susie here today!  Are you ready to  make your mistletoe sparkle with Red Rhinestone Baby Bling from Want2Scrap?   Checkout the details on this winter themed layout I created using the Christmas Wonderland Collection from Carta Bella.  It is such a pretty mix of vintage, wintery images with traditional red and green - and a surprising amount of blue!  I fell in love with the Nature Sing paper and chose that as the basis of my layout, trimming 1/8" on all sides then centering it on black cardstock.  I adore the image of the small deer peering at his reflection!
Next I chose 3 coordinating pages from the 6x6 paper pad, matted them with black cardstock, and arranged them on the left side of the page.  I also matted my photos with black and trimmed out a few of the nature themed journaling cards.  I played with the placement until I was happy and then started to embellish.  Here you can see I layered some mistletoe stickers on top of a chipboard flag:
This little blue bird was practically begging for a front row seat on my layout so I popped him on with dimensional tape!  (grin)  I often embellish my embellishments and in this case I added a LOT of sparkle by adding Red Rhinestone Baby Bling on top of some of the berries.
This photo of my daughter with an arm full of snowballs and a mischievous expression deserved a Naughty sticker!
Everybody uses hashtags these days so I was really tickled to find these cute little dimensional stickers from Little B.  (The set also includes #Love, #Life, #Laugh and #Selfie.)  I added a die cut arrow - and done!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

November Layout with Want2Scrap Chipboard

Hello everybody!  Susie here today and I want to share a fall layout featuring Want2Scrap chipboard for the title.  I needed to scrap these great pics of my mom, sister and I enjoying the autumn leaves.  I used the Nestled Collection from Authentique Papers.  I love all the texture found in the patterned paper - wood grains and knits and plaids - and Want2Scrap has the perfect Chipboard and Bling accents!
November is a Fancy Chipboard Word from Want2Scrap.  It is really easy to alter the chipboard with inks, paint, glitter and embossing powder, which is what I chose for this project.  I heat embossed it with Earthtone Nutmeg Embossing Powder.
You can see I used multiple layers to create dimension - papers, tags, twine, stickers, bling and even a charm!
Want2Scrap 72 Count Bling comes in a pack with 3 different sizes - 3mm, 6mm and 8mm.  I used all 3 sizes of the Amber bling to jazz up this sentiment/quote card:

Pure Joy

Hello, friends. I'm happy to share with you an "all about me" layout. I like creating layouts about myself to reflect on my thoughts and feelings. My life has had many changes over the past few months...a divorce, a new job, and a new home. Despite the difficult decisions and stressful times, I've emerged a confident, joyful woman. This layout, with singing birds and blooming flowers, represents a new beginning.
The beautiful chipboard "Joy" is just one of the sentiments in the Want2Scrap© Words of Love collection. I painted the word black. I handcut the flowers from patterned paper and added dimensional adhesive. The Want2Scrap© Maxxi Girl Pearls, a gorgeous swirl in white pearls, was a lovely accent.

I just couldn't wait to create with the Want2Scrap© Birds of a Feather diecut silhouette. This fabulous silhouette was beautiful in black, but I wanted to add a vintage feel with newsprint patterned paper and distress ink. I traced over the bird and leaf images and cut patterned paper just a wee bit smaller. I used black and brown distress ink on the edges.
Thank you for stopping by today. Happy creating!

I thought that since today is Halloween it would be a great time to share this layout with you. This is a picture of my youngest son and myself at his Cub Scout Halloween party a few weeks ago. All of the boys dressed up and some of the parents did too. Check out the bling on my face--it's Finesse Swirls Black Rhinestones and 72 Count Purple Rhinestones! Now that is thinking outside the box and taking it off the page LOL!

To start I used Style D Chipboard Embellishments, inked them with Tuxedo Black and then added 72 Count Lavender Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™and Pralines & Cream Fairy Dust Glitter from Clearsnap.

Next I created several Halloween die cuts using S4-279 Graveyard Scenes and Shapes, S4-280 Halloween Scenes and Shapes, S4-282 Witches Brew, S4-277 Nested Bats die templates from Spellbinders™. Then I lightly inked them with Brilliance Starlite Silver to make the embossing pop.

I created a border along the bottom of the layout with the Halloween die cuts.

I added Ranger Orange Peel Stickles to the window in the haunted house and Flower Soft Sage for the grass.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have a Happy, Fun & Safe Halloween!!
