Holiday Thank You

Hello Everyone, Terre with a holiday thank you card created using Want2Scrap© Chipboard Embellishments Style A, 72 Count White Pearls and Swirls Finesse Le Creme Pearls.
I distressed the edges of the card to give it that old world look and feel, especially since Santa is an Old World Santa.
On the Want2Scrap© Chipboard Embellishments Style A piece, I used white acrylic paint and my finger to paint it to also give it a distressed look.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and now is the time to start your handmade thank yous. I hope you enjoyed my thank you card. Crafty Smiles,

Festive Christmas Tree Card

Candy here and today I am sharing my Festive Christmas Tree Card featuring the Pine Tree Chipboard along with the Multi Color Bling Rhinestones.  The design paper on this 6" x 6" card is from Echo Park. I die cut the design paper using the Spellbinders Ovals LG and the Spellbinders Oval Majesty, adhering the die cut oval to the Oval Majesty using Zip Dry Glue.

First, I painted the Pine Tree Chipboard with a thin coat of Gesso. Next I inked the green part of the tree with Pearlescent Ivy Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink, then added Sparkle 'N Sprinkle Cosmic Semi-Transparent Embossing Powder in Bull Frog, tapped off the excess and heat set.  For the tree trunk I used Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink in Galaxy Gold, then added Sparkle 'N Sprinkle Opaque Embossing Powder in Brown, tapped off the excess and heat set.  I adhered the Multi Color Bling Rhinestones on the Christmas Tree and then adhered it to the die cut using Pop Dot Adhesive Double Sided Glue Dots.

I tied some green twine to the side of the card and added the Christmas Tree Swirls Charms in Antique Silver. Finally, I adhered a Red Rhinestone and a Dark Green Rhinestone to the upper right hand corner of the card front.

Merry Christmas!

Summers Forever

Candy here and today I am sharing my Summers Forever Card featuring the Butterfly Chipboard ShapeSilver Rhinestone Inspire SwirlsEndless Waves Beautiful Bling Borders and Enamel Dots.  I created this 6" x 6" sized card with paper and ephemera from Echo Park.  I sponged the edges of the ephemera and yellow paper with Scattered Straw Tim Holtz Distress Ink and the design paper with Toffee Crunch Memento Ink.  For some extra sparkle I added Ranger Diamond Stickles to the flowers on the design paper and ephemera.

Using a craft sponge on the Butterfly Chipboard Shape I added Nuvo Mousse in Peony Pink to the wings and Nuvo Mousse in Cosmic Brown to the butterfly's body/antennas.  It takes about 2 - 3 coats to cover the chipboard completely, but since the Nuvo Mousse basically dries instantly this takes no time at all to achieve the desired results.  I then gently bent the chipboard wings upward slightly and adhered the butterfly's body with adhesive.  I then adhered the Beautiful Bling Borders - Endless Waves! by Nina Brackett near the antennas and the Inspire Swirls by Nina Brackett in Silver Rhinestones at the bottom of the chipboard butterfly, cutting both to fit as needed.  I added Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss in Carnation Pink and Dandelion Yellow to the wings.

Finally, I added Enamel Dots 8mm Stone Size - Yellow and Enamel Dots 8mm Stone Size - Hot Pink, to the corners as shown.

I hope you are enjoying your Summer.  Have a great day!

I Heart Dogs Card!

Susie here today with a CAS (Clean And Simple) card I created for a dog lover - or maybe a new dog owner!

I started by stamping and heat embossing the sentiment in black ink.  Then I added a wash of blue to create a bit of a background.

I love Want2Scrap chipboard!  I often use it just bare naked because I love that look, but there are so many ways to dress it up!  Today I decided to use embossing powder.  I chose one of the elements from the card sized Houses by Nina Brackett pack.

I wanted to make the house 2-toned, so I masked off the roof part with a piece of paper and inked the bottom half.  I added embossing powder and applied heat to set.

Then I reversed it and masked off the bottom and embossed the roof using a different color.  Such a cute little house, right?

But not cute enough!  I stamped a tiny little sentiment on the roof and heat embossed it.  It turned out really cool as it kind of melted into the previous heat embossing but still kept a little dimension.  Next I dug a tiny little wooden dog chippie out of my stash and heat embossed him in black.

I adhered them to the front of the card and then decided to snazz up the roof line with a bit of bling from the Sleek Strip Rhinestones in black...

...and added a few bits of washi tape - voila!

Be sure to stop by Want2Scrap and check out the store for all the new designs of chipboard that we have added!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

Want2Scrap Swirls, Pearls and Roses Card

Hello Want2Scrap fans - it is Linda here sharing a pretty shabby/vintage card with you.  I am using one of the chipboard tags from Graphics 45 - these are so pretty.  I have added pearls and swirls - such a gorgeous combination - don't you think!!

My card base has been cut from white card stock using Spellbinders Labels 46 Decorative Elements Etched Die #3 (#1 being the smallest) Cut two #3 Dies, score the top of one at 1cm and fold forward.  Add adhesive to the 1cm portion, attach the front being sure to line up the pattern - an there you have a patterned card base - so easy.

The insert is also cut using the Labels 46 Decorative Elements #2 and lightly patterned paper.  Using purple ink and a sponge dauber, lightly sponge the ink into the flowers on the patterned paper.  Adhere to the card base using liquid glue.

Pop on the Graphic 45 Tag using liquid glue, add liquid glitter to the butterflies wings, with a small white pearl in the centre.  Glue a double Seam Binding Bow to the left side of the tag and adhere a Mulberry Paper Rose to the center,  I have trimmed the Swirls Finesse - don't you love it that we can do that - so convenient!!  Medium white pearls have been placed around the tag on the filigree portions of the Die cut.

Under the Sea with Heartfelt Creations and Want2Scrap

Hello and welcome!  Susie here today with a quick all occasion card I created with a stamp from Heartfelt Creations and Want2Scrap bling!
I don't have a lot of patience for detailed coloring but that doesn't keep me from using a beautifully detailed stamp. The Under the Sea stamp set has 5 whimsical sea creatures with the most amazing details!
I created a wash of orange and yellow on watercolor paper with Color Burst and then I stamped and die cut some of the little fishies.

One of my favorite things about Heartfelt Creations stamps is that they frequently come with dies that match. It makes it quick and easy to isolate an image and then pop it up off the background for a huge impact.  Here I used dimensional adhesive to add one of the fish on top of an Ultramarine Blue Color Burst background.
I mounted that whole element on black cardstock and then lined the top and bottom with a strip of washi tape from my stash.  The final touch was a double layer of Sleek Strip Rhinestones in 2 colors and sizes - black and turquoise.

Want2Scrap and Peachy Keen - Mixed Media Card

Hello and welcome!  Susie here today with a mixed media card featuring a stamp from Peachy Keen and Want2Scrap bling!
I created the background with Ken Oliver Color Bursts on watercolor paper.  I trimmed it down and inked the edges before mounting it on cardstock.
I used Spellbinders Cascading Circles die to cut white cardstock.

I used a stamp from the Peachy Keen In the Garden 1-1/8" Face Set to stamp on vellum with permanent black ink.  I colored the eyes from the backside with a sky blue marker.

I wanted to adhere the face behind one of the holes in the die cut so I trimmed the vellum down and added Zip Dry glue to the backside of the die cut.

I also used Zip Dry to adhere the entire die cut onto the Color Burst background.  Heres a close up of the stamped face on the card.

I pulled out Nina Brackett's Let It Snow bling and chose a snowflake for the upper right of the card.

Heartfelt Creations and Want2Scrap - Under the Sea

Hello and welcome!  Susie here today with a mixed media card pairing the Heartfelt Creations Under the Sea stamp set with Want2Scrap rhinestone bling! I adore anything to do with the ocean so I loved playing with the whimsical images in the Under the Sea stamp set from Heartfelt Creations.  One of my favorite thing about them is that they have coordinating dies!  Die cutting the images is so much faster than having to fussy cut them!
I started by creating a mixed media background on water color paper.  When it dried I stamped the seahorse image with permanent black ink.  Using the coordinating die, I cut and embossed the  seahorse.
In order to really emphasize the eye, I added a 2.5mm black rhinestone from my pack of Want2Scrap Baby Bling.
I created a background on white cardstock with inks, a stencil and embossing powder.   I achieved a little bit of "grunge" before I stamped a sentiment and adhered the seahorse.
I sprinkled the card with Irridescent, Turquoise and Light Green rhinestones in 3 different sizes to finish things off!
It is so easy to create beautiful cards with Heartfelt Creations and Want2Scrap!
