Want2Scrap Nice Normal Family

Hello Want2Scrap fans - it is Linda here, sharing a card using Want2Scrap bling - and one of the fun stamp sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle - Chicken Run stamp set.

I have inked the image using Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko Memento Inks along with a White Gel Pen to add some highlights to the Chickens.  The green grass has been cut using a Die from the Woodlands Mushrooms and adhered using double sided tape and 3D Foam Tape.  The sentiment has been stamped to the top portion of the Pierced Ovals.

The image has been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Celebrations Pierced Ovals .  Gesso is applied to a Stencil to add texture, then it has been sponged using various inks.  I have used my sponge daubers and not added any extra ink - they are usually 'fully loaded'!

The patterned paper has been embossed using Donna Salazar Designs Chicken Wire Em-bossing Folder and lightly sanded with a sanding block. This has been layered onto a precut card base using A2 Matting Basics B Card Creator Ribbon and a double bow have been added, the image layered onto the patterned paper using 3D Foam Squares.

I have added some of the Baby Bling Rhinestones - Silver - 100 Count - 2.5mm randomly through the stenciling to add that shimmer that only Want2Scrap bling can.  Beautiful Bling Borders has been trimmed to each corner, along with Baby Bling in brown.

Peace Out Man with Want2Scrap

Hello Want2Scrap fans - it is Linda here, sharing a card using Want2Scrap bling - and one of the very cool stamp sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle - VW BUs stamp set.  I love combies and could not resist this 'baby'.

I have coloured the image using Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko Momento Markers, along with a Silver Gel Pen to add some shimmer to the metallic areas.

I have added some of the Baby Bling Rhinestones - Silver - 100 Count - 2.5mm randomly around the image to give the impression of the shimmer the ocean can have,  Random postmarks have been added using Black Ink.  The peace sign has been coloured using a Memento Marker and popped up onto a flower from my stash using liquid glue.   This is then attached to the top corner of the card using liquid glue.

For my card base and patterned layers I have used the Spellbinders 5x7 Modern Stationery Card Creator.  For the top white layer the Die has been used as a stencil, sponging inside the Die using Summer Sky Ink and a Sponge Dauber.

Purrr-fect Blinged Layout

Hello it is Linda here with a layout to share - of our beautiful half Rag-doll cat - Teisha.  If you are like us, our animals are part of the family - our fur-babies...and I love the fact that Want2Scap have the perfect bling for this.

I have used three photos and cut white borders for them, adhering them to the main patterned paper  with double sided tape.  Coordinating patterned paper has been adhered - slightly to the left and the photos stacked onto it, again using double sided tape.

The Paw Prints Bling - Silver Rhinestones are a real feature, added next to the sentiment created using Spellbinders: SR-011 Contour Type-Oh!  along with some alphas from my stash.

The Chevron Stencil  has been used in the top right-hand corner, along with some Gesso to create the textured chevrons.  A red button has been adhered, a sticker inside and a coat of Dimensional Magic for a glossy effect.  Random Stickers have been added down the left side of the main photo and a flower added to the center of the photos, with a button and Sleek Strip 6" White pearls
 bling added to the center.

Canvas Project: Take the Time 2 Create

It's a New Year's Resolution for a lot of us.
Make time to create.
I need the reminder.

You too, can make a SIMPLE canvas.

I created this SUPER simple canvas.
by using a piece of balsa wood.

I decoupaged some napkins onto the board.
I added a coat of paint, and created a whitewash finish by
dry brushing some Gesso.

I sanded and inked around the edges with
I added some Tissue Tape,
a transparency,
a beautiful chevron border,
some words and hardware...
a few buttons,
some bulk LOOSE bling, and
and the title...

The Fancy chipboard title Create was painted with Gesso and
coated with Medium and then
dusted with Fairy Dust from our preferred partner, Clearsnap.

Embellishing a Store Bought Frame

We love our preferred partners. When I saw these papers from Authentique, I was so immediately inspired to start crafting.

I started with a plastic frame from Ikea. First off, I could not believe this was plastic, it's so NICE!
I die cut several flowers using Spellbinder's Spiral Blossom.

Most of the other pieces are ready made.
The Bird on a Branch is a silhouette.
I used one of Donna Salazar's Puzzle Pack pieces and covered it with yellow patterned paper,
distressed it by sanding, and glazed it with glossy accents.

Then, it was time to drip the bling.
I took Sleek Strips and made a few cuts so I could round the corners of the inner opening.
I carefully trimmed around the butterflies from the Wonderful Wings Nestabling set, and left the clear backing intact, and just glued using a glue dot. Finally, I added some strips of Nina Brackett's gorgeous Chevron Bling Border to the tabbed card.

This project really didn't take very long, but I'm so pleased with the results.
What do you think?

A Holiday for the Birds

Hi, Allie here with a Shabby Chic Holiday Tutorial.
Let's embellish a Bird Cage for the winter holidays.
I'm using this pretty Bird Cage on my door.

Begin by applying a layer of gesso. Use a dry brush technique, with
very little paint. Simply swish it back and forth.

While the paint is drying, you can apply patterned paper to the background piece.
Once the bird cage front is dry, sponge on ink.

Paint the Fancy Chipboard Title "Noel" with gesso.
Once the gesso is dry, lightly brush on Liquid Glass
and liberally sprinkle Sugar Shimmer.

Now, you're ready to decorate!
This project is embellished with an ornament,
Frilly Flourish Swirl, some brads, and flowers.

Ornaments to REMEMBER!

Hello, to YOU!  All the lovers of bling and the GREAT Want2Scrap® thing!  It is I, Elise, & I bid you tidings of GREAT, blinged-out holiday joy and adorable memories!

For your holiday inspiration, I have assembled a handsome assortment of delightful Want2Scrap® products and goodies galore, to dazzle your crafty, scrappy side... So..., if you have the means, I recommend a large frothy cup of peppermint mocha and a notepad, uh, r, SHOPPING list....{!} You're gonna WANT2Scrap!  {LOL}

Scrapbook memories do NOT have to be confined to an album.  Why NOT celebrate some memories of the most WONDERFUL time of the year, right thar on ye old Christmas tree!  The most GLORIOUS time of year + Want2Scrap® bling = the MOST sparkly thing!  My job is to INSPIRE you to use PHOTOGRAPHS to embellish your holiday tree.

Start with photographs of your choosing, reduced by 50%, as shown...

Select Want2Scrap® Nestaboard shapes to become the foundation of your ornament, and then prepare background.  For the "boy" ornament, I busted out my old favorite, faux woodgrain, using a home decor wood-graining tool and acrylic paint, direct to Nestaboard.

Just apply paint, then drag the tool in one direction, gently, but firmly rocking the handle, to create this extraordinary, but easy wood grain effect.

Isn't THAT fun and purdy?   If you want to see more ideas on applying this technique, I hope you'll visit my post, here, where I share more detail into playing with wood grain!

For a girlier background - how about THIS fun paper from My Little Shoebox!

{Yum!}

With proper backdrop and STUNNING Nestabling®, ornaments are READY to shine!  Using Chipboard Sentiments, Words of Love, I had ALL the sentiment I could use, to illustrate HOW happy these memories make me!   J-O-Y is the word, and JOY is how I felt, embellishing these LOVELY letters with Designer Foil! I'm DEFINITELY feeling the L-O-V-E!

{OH MY GOODNESS!  Hi, there, Santa!  You're NICE!}

Can YOU feel the it, the sparkly the MAGIC of Christmas, blinged out with Want2Scrap®?

But, WAIT!  There's MORE!

Nothing calls for a lil' EXTRA sugar, like the holidays!  Lookee HOW glorious this word looks embellished with Sugar Shimmer, Fairy Dust Glimmer from Clearsnap!  I'm SO in LOVE, I have GOT to LAUGH!  {LOL}  Oh, THAT lil' girl makes me laugh, too.  She NEVER sat with Santa!  This is my FAVORITE picture, because the camera literally, caught her, mid BOLT off of Santa's lap!  Hard to fault a girl for NOT wanting to hang with a stranger in a red suit...  Sigh.  Memories!

Are YOU ready?  If you haven't liked us on facebook, I HIGHLY recommend giving Want2Scrap the big thumb's up!  You'll learn about our latest specials and HUGE opportunities for inspiration and sparkly delight, BEFORE the masses!  We ADORE sharing the brightness with you all!  Here's hoping YOUR holidays and filled with JOY and LAUGHTER and .... {wait for it...} LOTS and LOTS of BLING!  Merry, Merry!

Thanks, so MUCH for letting me SPARKLE for YOU!

NOEL

Earlier in the month, I shared a project using Nestabling Pennants.
I didn't use all the sizes, so I had leftovers,
so I thought I'd trim those up and use them to
decorate this adorable cube.

I started by covering the cube with papers from Authentique.
I left the edges exposed, I thought the white was sparkly
and reminded me of snow.
Have you seen any of that elusive stuff yet this season?
I saw a flake or too here in Minnesota. Not much though!

I colored and "dusted" Stylish Chipboard Alpha with Sugar Shimmer glitter
from ClearSnap [Donna Salazar]. This sparkly stuff is so cute, it comes in a salt shaker!

This little tree is from the train section at a hobby store.
I added some gesso "paint" and then
I decorated it with some buttons from Buttons Galore.

More buttons, held in place with some pins from Maya Road.

These sparkly poinsettias from Prima really finished off the piece.
The letters are super sparkly, but I still added some Baby Bling
to make sure they could really Bling in the SEASON right.

Thanks for making us a part of your day. I hope your season is "Blinging" along nicely!

Allie
