Hip Hip Hooray!

Here's a birthday card that I made to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  I had other plans for these hexagons but after seeing this sketch I decided to play around with the orientation and this is what I ended up with.  A simple but fun masculine card...

Here's a photo of the sketch challenge:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!

Happy 15th Birthday Sweet Pea!

15 years ago we were entrusted with the most precious gift, our beautiful daughter Sumitra!  I am not sure what we did to deserve such a blessing, but we are truly honored to be your parents.  Happy Birthday Sweet Pea!

I made this card using this week's sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch!  I wanted this card to be simple, fun, colorful as well as vibrant and the sentiment on this banner truly describes my daughter.  I actually had plans for this banner in my Project Life album but decided to use it on this card as I was trying to use a non traditional sentiment.

Happy Birthday, CTS #41

Here is a birthday card that I made to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  As always, I have a hard time embellishing masculine cards.  I couldn't decide what to use so I colored a few of the wood veneer stars with the same blue ink as I used for the sentiment.  They turned out a bit darker because of the wood texture but it worked just fine.

Above and Beyond! CTS#34

I couldn't resist playing along with this week's challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch!  This card is very simple, but I love that bold sentiment which is from K&Company's sentiments vellum sticker pad.  To me that sentiment says more than just a simple "Thank You".  Anyway, a clean, simple and quick card! :)

Thank You, CSC147

Here is the card that I created to play along with this week's CASE Study challenge.  When I first saw Lisa's card I immediately thought of this paper from DCWV, Hittin' the Books collection.  This was such a fun card to CASE however it was a bit tricky to photograph.  This picture doesn't do justice to the card but here it is...

Sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Here is Lisa's original card:

Happy Birthday Ajay, FMS91

Happy Happy Happy 13th Birthday Ajay!  Yikes...2 teenagers in the house!  I'm bracing really hard for this ride!

My inspiration for this card came from this week's challenge from Freshly Made Sketches, challenge #91. I love the simplicity of this sketch, it can be interpreted in so many different ways.  I used out an old collection but one of my all time favorites, Rocket Age from October Afternoon.

Sentiment is from Hero Arts and border punch is from EK Success, Round Binding Edge.

Happy Father's Day

Here's a simple Father's Day card that I made to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. Masculine cards are still a challenge for me...go figure!  This was the card that I gave to my dad.  I used the Awesome collection from Simple Stories, added some twine, rain dots sentiment from the sticker collection and this card was done!  Quick and simple...

Make a Wish Neena!

Happy Happy Birthday to my beautiful, caring, loving and most compassionate niece, Neena!

Here is a card that I made for Neena's birthday.  I played along with this week's 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge from Pretty Pink Posh.  It's ironic because it was Neena who helped me with my last 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge which ended up winning the challenge for that week.  Now here I am playing along with a card for her!

Anyway, this was a fun card to create!  The minute I saw these colors I thought of the Hip-Hooray collection from My Mind's Eye.  This card took me 7:53 minutes to create!

Here are the colors for this week's challenge:

Thanks for stopping by!  Here's hoping Neena's day is half as amazing as she is!

Happy Birthday!

Here is a card that I made for my sister-in-law's birthday!  I played along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  I love their sketch challenges, just wished I had more time to play along weekly.  Tracey McNeely is one of my favorite bloggers so I couldn't resist this week's challenge!  This was a quick, simple and fun card to make...

Sentiment is from Close to My Heart and the branch and butterflies are a glitter rub-on from K&Co.

It's Your Day!

I am truly humbled and feel completely blessed that God has entrusted two precious gifts in my care.  My kids have taught me the meaning of true love, true happiness and most importantly, all about selfless giving.  Here's wishing all moms a very, very Happy Mother's Day!

This is the card that I made for my mom for Mother's Day.  It was inspired by this week's challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch!  A very CAS card keeping the focus on the sentiment.

Sentiment is from PTI's Think Big Favorites #2 stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish all the mommies a beautiful and relaxing day!  :)

You are my reason why...

Here is a card that I made to play along with this week's Simon Says Happy Mail challenge.  I love using Ali Edwards' stamps on my layouts so finding ways to use them on cards is an added bonus for me!  This is such a simple card using washi tape and a few hearts, however it's such a powerful sentiment to the recipient.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a fantastic weekend! :)

Happy Birthday, CSC136

I miss playing along in challenges, so today I tried to squeeze in some time to make a quick card.  Here is the card that I made to play along with this week's CASE Study Challenge.  It's very simple and can even be used as a masculine card.

Thank You for Everything!

Freshly Made Sketches is one of my favorite sketch challenge blogs.  The sketches are clean and simple, which tends to get my creative juices flowing!  I wish I had more time to play along on a weekly basis.  Here is the card that I made for this week's challenge.

The second layer and the sentiment are both adhered with dimensional adhesive.  Sentiment is from Hero Arts, Good Friends stamp set.

Deepest Sympathy

Kara from KandRDesigns is hosting a challenge to celebrate her 100th week of pinning to her Friday Inspiration File.  The challenge is to create something based on a project in that file.  There are lots of inspirational projects to choose from, however I chose to CASE this card by Deanna Jean from week 72.

Love the simplicity and crisp look of this card.  Deanna's original was the perfect sympathy card.  Check out Kara's file for some really great inspiration pieces!

Happy Birthday, RS#46

This is the card that I made to play along with this week's Retro Sketches challenge.  So many ideas came to mind when I saw this sketch, however I wanted to keep my card clean and simple as I needed this for a birthday boy.

A Very Merry Christmas

WOW, it feels like forever since I've posted here...life took me in all different directions over the last month or so.  I wanted to get back into the swing of things so I thought creating a card would help.  It's a very simple card but hopefully it'll get my creative juices going again.  I am playing along with this week's challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch blog.  Here is what I came up with...

Life is Good, CTS#4

I am loving these sketches from CAS(E) this Sketch challenge blog.  Here is the card that I made to play along with this week's challenge.  This was super easy to make as the pattern paper had the basic design of the sketch.  I had a hard time photographing this card and this is still not a good picture but here is my take on the sketch...

Sentiment is from Hero Arts/Studio Calico stamp set, Heydey Sentiments.

Get Well Soon, CTS#3

Here is the card that I made to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  I prefer to stamp the sentiment in black but this time decided to use the same ink as the flower.  Not sure how I feel about it but I am out of time so it will have to stay the way it is.

Thinking of You

This card was inspired by the October Sketch Challenge from Hero Arts.  Some of my favorite stamps are from Hero Arts, I just love the clean and crisp image I get from them.  This card is CAS and was super quick to make.

My color inspiration came from this photo by Jay Gee's Nook, challenge #24.

Fabulous Day, CTS#2

This card was inspired by this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  I am loving the simplicity of these sketches, they are perfect for CAS cards. So many ideas came to mind for this sketch but unfortunately I didn't have much time to create...so, you might see more of this sketch in the future.  :)

Sentiment is from Hero Arts and the flower is from K&Company.

Here is a photo of the sketch challenge.  I will also enter this into A Blog Named Hero, CAS challenge as well as CAS-ual Fridays, Over the Edge challenge.
