open doors

open doors open doors open doors

Daily routine.

Unpacking the dishwasher.
Open the kitchen cupboard doors and put everything back in place.
Nothing special, a daily recurring activity.
Yet I can see the 'fun' of this daily routine.
All the personal things, the mix of colors, the collections...

and when everything is back in place, close the doors again, because I'm allergic to open doors.

quay in spring style

lammielammielammielammielammielammie

Green and yellow bowls and jugs brighten up the quay!

Lammie made a fresh spring style shop window at the Knolhaven. She is a genius!
As I cycled along the harbour, the bright plastic stuff smiled at me from afar.

the red makes it

009006003005001002008004010

Our kitchen, this Friday morning.

The kitchen is actually very basic, white and bright. The red makes it...(without dominating)

I love this place!

home is where the heart is

home is where the heart isorange jar

The [HoMe IS wHere The HeArt IS] sign is a gift, I made for a sweet colleague. The stones with holes we found last summer on the beach of Ile de RĂ©.
The jugs collection on the kitchen cabinet have a new orange member, which we bought last Saturday in Amsterdam.

easter knickknacks

easter invitationeaster bunnyberger anisetteeaster eggs

We eat chocolate eggs for months now, this is the umpteenth refill.
Our little Easter bunny shines already for a few weeks on the mirror (comes from the Gemeentemuseum shop in The Hague).
A Villa Augustus Easter invitation illustrated by Dorine de Vos.
The tiny red Berger anisette we found at the flea market in Lille, does not have much to do with Easter, but fits finely between our jugs collection.

wild flowers spotted in july

weekend highlights;
•beautiful wild flowers on the table, picked and tied by my friend Lysbeth.
•stool making in the sunny front garden.
•Snow Patrol at Rockin' Park.
•lunch at osteria Vicini.

so in short, a wonderful weekend!
wish for July?
let it be a sunny summer month.

a vase is a vase is a vase

I'm not only fond of flowers,
I also love vases.
For any kind of bouquet I can seize an appropriate vase.

On the upper jugs post, I received some requests for a front view photo of the collection.

upper jugs

upper jugs by wood & wool stool

The high-pitched collection on top of the kitchen cabinet is a variety of pitchers, jugs and jars in all shapes, sizes, colors and materials.

Except the fact that it's beautiful collection, I do use them piece by piece. They serve as vases, juice jugs and the beautiful pinkish red one - with the attractive spout - is actually a watering can.
