I created a birthday card the other day using the Bohemian Brew Collection by Jillibean Soup! I even created my own little flower with paper, a sequin and a pop dot-I'm pretty happy with how it turned out:
I have plan for this card already-for someone who loves this sort of design and who's birthday is in June- ;)
Thanks for popping in! Today is a busy one, class, dentist and a track meet to officiate at!

xoxo
This card literally took less than 10 minutes! I LOVED working with the Love Notes kit for January from Scrapbook Circle. My focus was to use the XOXO exclusive piece-when I pulled it from my bag I KNEW I had to use it on the card.
Plastic can be tricky to add to pages or cards-on this card you can see that I stapled one (it's a soft plastic) and I adhered the XOXO with 3M tacky adhesive and it's on there to STAY!

believe.
I had SO much fun using the scraps from my Good Cheer scrapbook kit by Scrapbook Circle--it's the kit for November. My challenge was to use my scraps to create a card--one of my favorite things to do. It is fun being creative with no real rhyme or reason!
1. I cut my background sheet to 4"x 5.25"
2. I punched triangles from several different sheets of scrap pieces of patterned paper.
3. I arranged the triangles on the background and adhered lightly (so i could go back and sew over the top)
4. I then sewed the background down and the triangles.
5. Lastly I added the embellishments including sequins which I sporadically adhered around the card.
If it sounds confusing or time consuming-it really wasn't--loved the creative process!

numbers and cards.
Seems like FOREVER since I have shared a few cards here on my blog, don't faint! ;) I had a blast using the hello, hello kit from Scrapbook Circle for these two fun cards:
Both of these cards were made from the scraps left over from my pages this month--LOVE when you can still make something cute from the left overs. That tells you that the kit was AWESOME!!
thanks SO much for the visit today, I really appreciate it!

2014 year in review
So as I was looking through my folders "trying" to pick a favorite layout for each month, I had a difficult time! I ended up with 19. 2014 was a super creative year for me and I really had fun looking through what I created, remembering why I loved each creation (For American Crafts, Scrapbook Circle, and Jillibean Soup), so in no particular order:
thanks for the visit AND for hanging out with me in 2014! Happy New year!

rock on.
I wanted to quickly share a card I made for the Jillibean Soup guest spot:
LOVE how this came together--fun mix of papers and designs and directions. Have you been running like crazy like I have?
The other day I was counting things up and making sure everyone was "even" when I realized I "needed" one more item. For several years now I have followed some advise that my friend gave me:
NEED
WANT
WEAR
READ
we do add something from Santa. This little guideline helps me to keep things simple, focused and ON BUDGET!
I sure hope that you are truly enjoying this season of giving--Christmas time is my favorite! We are running wild this week with finals, soccer games, and parties but I can truly say I am GRATEFUL to be able to do it!
Thanks for the visit!

top dog dies blog hop!
Welcome to the Top Dog Dies & Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop!
I had the privilege of working with some CUTE Top Dog Dies along with the Bucket List kit by Scrapbook Circle. These are the sets of dies I got to work with:
I had the privilege of working with some CUTE Top Dog Dies along with the Bucket List kit by Scrapbook Circle. These are the sets of dies I got to work with:
I looked at the dies and wanted to something DIFFERENT and FUN, I came up with the idea of a card:
To create a more dimensional look I added pop dots behind the "roof" and fence--I also added mist to the chimney and front door. This picture doesn't do justice to the fun embossing of the dimensional cuts of the windows, chimney and door.
I wanted to mention some FANTASTIC deals going along with this hop:

hello. April fools...
April fools day, has always been a curiosity to me..I like a good HARMLESS prank that doesn't hurt peoples feelings. Like jumping out and scaring people...(I don't like it done to me but it sure is fun to scare people. I know I am a bit of an enigma but hey--who isn't?!) I get a little irritated when they are lies...I DO NOT like lying...Once I tried to play a prank on my mom--it was not nice..I got about 3 sentences into it (I was talking to her over the phone) and I just couldn't do it...I felt bad...Anyway, I wanted to share with you a card I made for my blog post a few weeks back on the American Crafts blog it was featuring the DIY line. guess I'm pretty original with card greetings? ;)
Supplies: 6x6 Paper Pad (366983) DIY Shop, Ali Mistable White (53372) - Thicker, Large Pattern Brayer Set (366607) - DIY Shop, 2" Banner Punch (63117) - Punches, Sequins (36609) - DIY Shop, Wood Venner Butterflies (366618) - DIY Shop, Kraft Scallop There were a lot of supplies that went in to this fun card, embossing powder, brayer, mist, sequins, veneer, wash tape, punches, banners, sewing and paper--with that all being said can you pick them out? (like the where is waldo game!)
For this card, I REALLY wanted to use the polka dot brayer to give a subtle background. I stamped with clear pigment ink, then embossed it with clear embossing powder to make the kraft banner shine! One other fun touch was that I covered the veneer butterflies with the gold patterned washi tape. After I ripped the washi tape into small pieces I placed the washi over the butterflies, making sure it was adhered well. After adhering I flipped it over and cut with a craft knife around the edges.
Thanks bunches for the visit today--hope your April fool's day is full of FUN!
