...Hannabelle Cordelia Hare!
Recently I entered an exciting blog candy giveaway on Tracy's beautiful Patchwork Chickens blog. I discovered Tracy's lovely blog (full of gorgeous, hand-crafted artworks) through Lucy's Attic 24 blog...my favourite place for fabulous crochet inspiration and easy to understand tutorials.
Anyhoo, Tracy got lots and lots of entrants for her scrummy blog candy, 101 in total... But guess whose name was pulled out of the hat (literally) by Lucy? MINE! I couldn't believe my good luck!!
Hannabelle Cordelia Hare was soon winging her way to her new home in Australia, and as you can see from the photo above she has arrived and has been very busy taking it easy. She is suffering a little jet-lag...but Miss 8 and I are pampering Hannabelle and making sure she feels right at home here with us Down Under.
Thanks so much again Tracy! It is obvious that oodles of love and care have gone into the making of Miss Hannabelle Cordelia Hare and I will be keeping a sharp eye out for any sign of you opening an Etsy shop in the near future ;-).

Packing Up Blog Candy Winner...
Just thought I would pop in here quick stix, and let you know I did draw my packing up blog candy yesterday, but then completely forgot to post it in the excitement of last night's wedding viewing (we also drove back from Sydney yesterday...so it was a long one)!
I want to say a big thanks to everyone who replied and gave me some great suggestions as to what to take with me. After discussing it with hubby on the way back yesterday, I have a much better idea of where my things will be going, and the sort of storage that it will go in, so I feel better equipped to begin the selection process :o).
I did the Random.Org thing and this is what I got:
So the winner is Jocelyn aka JoBear2. Congrats, I will be in touch soon Jocelyn!
Thanks again for your ideas everyone. Have a lovely Saturday.

Some packing up Blog Candy...
I mentioned in a recent post that we were about to depart on an exciting adventure. We now have about three weeks left to pack up the house and move ourselves on to Lucey Blue. I have been slowly tidying stuff away, and while I was sorting out some craft things I made a small pile of things to giveaway as blog candy.
Here is what I have come up with...
This blog candy contains:
- 1 x new, unmounted, Polka Dot Punches stamp set by Stampin' Up! This set was a SAB stamp set from a few years back
- Three beautiful rolls of Mark's Coffret du couturier floral Washi Tape in purples and mauves...check it out here on Etsy
- 1 x roll of Plum Pudding Luxe Satin Ribbon by Papertrey Ink (5 yards)....see it here
- 4 x tags decorated with Washi Tape...made by me using Papertrey Ink's Tag Sale #2 die, and assorted Washi Tapes.
If you were about to set off on a small yacht with your family for eight months, and you wanted to take along a few papercrafting things just to satisfy the occasional urge to create a card...what would you take? I have been contemplating this question for a while now, and am no closer to answering it than I was when I first started thinking about it. For the purpose of this discussion, lets assume you have storage space equivalent to a large parcel post box (about the size of Stampin' Up! largest parcel post box)...or about the size of a large microwave oven (the entire unit...not just the cooking cavity).
A few details:
- This blog candy is open to anyone
- In order to be eligible for the blog candy just answer the question above by leaving a comment on this post
- The cut-off for leaving your comment is 7 pm, Australian Eastern Standard Time on Thursday 28th April, 2011
- The blog candy winner will be drawn using Random.org on Friday 29th April
- Please make sure I have some way of getting in touch with you
- If the winning person is one of my blog 'Followers' ...there might be an extra roll of Washi Tape in it for them too ;-).
Anyway, I am very interested to read what other people would take. Just a small selection of coloured ink and card...or maybe a whole set of Stampin' Up! ink spots? PTI stamp sets or SU unmounted stamp sets because they take up hardly any room? Pre-cut cardstock, die shapes etc...to reduce volume? Stuff just for one type of card (ie. punchart, or watercolouring goodies)? So many alternatives!
Thanks for your thoughts!

Blog Candy Winner
Hi everyone,
I hope that you all had a lovely Easter long weekend. We did, It was very relaxing.
I am sorry for the delay in announcing my Beady blog candy winner. Its been a bit busy here. Anyhoo...I managed to visit Random.org today and this is what they said:
The seventh person to comment was Susy:
Thank you to everyone who took the time to comment. It was fun reading about your favourite holidays (commemorative or vacation)!
While I'm here...I also wanted to show you another wee pic of THE library bag...where I have added some Floral Fusion felt to cover the handle stitching. I was very pleased with myself for thinking of that...:-)
Have a great week.

- Sam, what a gorgeous giveaway, your bracelets rock. We've had quite a few memorable holidays over the years both good and bad, fortunately more good than bad, but a long weekend we had in Tasmania would probably be one of the best ones. Such a beautiful spot we hope to get back to one day. 17 March 2010 9:26 PM

'Just Because' Beady Bracelet Blog Candy...
I've been tossing up how to run a 'just because' blog candy giveaway, where one of my lampwork bead bracelets is the candy...and if I think about it any longer I'll give up...so here goes!
The prize will be a lampwork bead bracelet using these lampwork focal beads by Candice Matthewson of Beadgoodies on Etsy...
...combined with Sterling Silver Bali beads, Swarovski Crystal beads and Swarovski Pearl beads. The final bracelet will look something along the lines of this bracelet:
...but probably not exactly the same. I won't make the bracelet up until I know who has won, what size their wrist is and how they like to wear their bracelets (i.e. loose/tight). I think that'll solve my sizing issues. Also know now that I am no professional bracelet maker. I'll do my best, but don't be comparing it to a Pandora or any other razzle dazzle products :-).
In order to be in the running for this blog candy, all you need to do is leave a comment on this post, and tell me about your favourite holiday. It doesn't need to be long if you don't want to write much....just what/where/why. I like thinking about holiday ideas.....even if they don't eventuate.
If your commenting doesn't automatically leave your name and email, either write your name and email address in the text, or email me separately after you've commented (navarino@yahoo.com) with a copy of your comment (so I can work out which one is yours).
This competition is open to anyone from anywhere. I am not sure how the winner will be decided. It'll possibly be through Random.org or via paper ballot with one of the tiddlywinks doing the picking.
Entries will close at 11:00 am AEDST (Australian Eastern Daylight-Savings Time) on WEDNESDAY 31st MARCH 2010.
Thanks for your interest in my lampwork jewellery bracelets, and thank you for reading my blog.
I hope you have a beautiful day!
