Mmmm chocolate

Just a quickie post as The Apprentice is on, closely followed by Vampire Diaries (I think tonight is the only decent TV night all week!)
This wee card took aaaaaages to make, no idea why!  It's another oldie stamp, can't even remember who the maker is!  Coloured with promarkers, clear gloss added to his glasses and smooch illuminate to his tie and papers.  Couple of wee pink pearls to finish.

Bathtime for baby ...... and me, Greg and Ruby too!

I haven't got any baby cards in my stash, so thought I'd get this cutie out!  I've had this wee scrap of baby paper for about a year now, so thought I'd better use it too before it gets too crumpled and gets dumped!  I managed to slice through my ribbon ends when I was tying on my wee button, and as it was a wee scrap too it had to do!  I had another oopsie when I was paper piercing my top corner and went a bit wonky!  (I'm blaming it on the weather ... see below!)  Added some frosted lace stickles to the bubbles and some wee pink gems to my Martha Stewart punched butterflies.  Stamp from Art Go Wild
How's this for a fabulous cloudy sky?! (I always feel sorry for folk who live in cities or built up areas who can't see the sky properly!)  About 3 seconds after I took this pic there was a huge crack of lightening and an enormous rumble of thunder and then the heavens totally opened!  So me, Greg and Ruby all got an unexpected drenching and the quickest walk home ever!!  (Oh, and YES I was standing under a tree at the time I took this ... EEK!)

Scrambling egg!

Painter  Wow, can you believe its Saturday evening already!  I've had a great couple of days off and got the paving in the back garden all power hosed and the garden fence painted.  Looks like a good job, even if I do say so myself!  Though I've a dent in my finger from holding the paintbrush for hours, a few little tiny splinters, split nails and rough skin to show for all my hard work too!  And not much time or energy left for card making, except thiss wee quickie using a fun stamp from Elzybells (now closed).  Its very CAS, though looks busier 'cause of my jazzy DP!

(Don't forget to pop back tomorrow lunchtime if you get a chance and check out the new Dream Valley challenge)

Some Exciting News and a Sympathy card ... Moxie style!

So, my exciting news is that I made it onto Melly's DT for her new challenge blog .... Dream Valley challenges
Raise The Roof 1 Whoo Hoo!
Our first challenge starts this Sunday (27 Feb) and it will run for one week, but normally challenges will be fortnightly ... and there's some fab prizes to be won too!  So I'll see you back here on Sunday (if not before hee hee!) for deets on the very first challenge at this brand new challenge blog!

I've just realised I don't have any sympathy cards in my stash, so here's one inspired by this gorgeous cushion, this week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World.  My flower is from http://www.onefourzero.co.uk/ and I think it's one of the very first stamp sets I ever bought!  Coloured with copics (though I wish I'd coloured the purple slightly lighter) and added some clear gloss and glitter to the flower centres.  Silver peel off sentiment and purple gems to finish.

Up, up and away!

I think this little rocket took my mojo with him when he took off, I've been a bit stuck with my cardmaking all day!  Some of the stars have photographed as black, but they're all silver.  The blue swirly bit was a leftover scrap that I'd normally just chuck out.

Thanks a million

Another oldie stamp rediscovered in my stash ... possibly from Inkadinkado but I wouldn't swear to it.  Just kept it nice and simple and used my Tim Holtz edge die for a wee bit of interest, and some of my new bakers twine (from The Twinery)which I seriously LOVE!

New Year's Resolutions!

(I've had a lovely crafty day ... so apologies in advance for the blogger overload!)
My New Year's resolutions are to eat less cake (not sure if this one's possible!), to make better use of my crafty stash and to re-ink some old stamps!  I'd actually forgotten about this cutie until I looked back on old cards.  And my little flower punch is also an oldie ... I think it was the first punch I ever bought.

And while I had this little girl stamp out, I made another....

I've used a much unloved cuttlebug folder on this one (not sure why I don't really like it!) and my ribbon was originally packaging on my Christmas PJ's from my sis.
